Bathroom was nice. Staff seemed friendly.
Location a reasonable walk from town centre but my main issue was the noise overnight! People talking loudly in the corridor at all hours (I guess this isn't the hotel's fault as such but it really affected my stay) plus the room was hot but with the window open it was quite noisy (hotel is by a busy roundabout). I didn't sleep at all well. The room and hotel itself was ok - seemed clean though my friend's room next door seemed to have been refurbished as mine felt abit dated in comparison and without a full length mirror too which she had and, as we were attending a wedding, that would have been useful.
Nice decorated room. Renovated bathroom, good looking and clean. Nice garden to relax. Good food in restaurant with a large variety on the menu. Very friendly staff. Overall atmosphere. Ideally located on the way to the Dover ferries and Canterbury city.
One has to take a shower in the bath. Stepping into the bath is not always comfy for elderly people or people with reduced mobility such as back problems. The bath itself could become slippery so a little dangerous. The maximum available height under the shower to wash ones hair is far below the average length of European people so we have to bend over (again not comfy with back problems). Apparently this is a nationwide UK situation because I met it in all hotels I’ve been into ( a lot over the years). Hotel owners in general (as a branch) should orientate themselves in Europe / Holland (in spite of Brexit) and experience our “walk in showers” which don’t have all of these disadvantages.
The hotel is located near to the town and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. I also ate a few times in the hotel and the food was very good.
The rooms are very warm when the weather is hot.
Breakfast was good value and the restaurant had a good choice at a reasonable price.
It was an exceptionally hot day and the rooms were hot, as there is no air con.
Helpful and friendly staff. Food was ok not pricey.
The hotel property need some maintainence.
