9.5 Excellent (131 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Creagan House in Callander, you'll be on a river, just steps from Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park and a 4-minute drive from Balquhidder Church.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely watching the birds darting around the many bird feeders. Great breakfast. Charming room. Very nice hosts.
Cons: The bed could have been a little larger (but would not have fitted in the room), firmer and therefore more comfy - and duvet rather than sheets/blankets. The bathroom would benefit from ventilation.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast room was worthy of a country manor, and although a recent addition, it blends nicely with the older farmhouse structure. The rooms are incredibly comfortable but what really makes the location are the hosts Kerry and Andy. They know the local area well and gave great suggestions for both dinner and hiking. And a big plus - Kerry's homemade shortbread cookies - which absolutely crush those of the famous tartan-branded tins!

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was delicious, served in a beautiful gothic room. Very good choice...service with a smile.

Pros: Andy and Kerry were very friendly and knowlegeable about the area. The weather wasn't good but I'm 100% sure we can blame Andy and Kerry for that lol
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Exceptionally attentive and helpful hosts. The property is full of antique Scottish quirkiness. The breakfast room - well I won’t spoil the surprise! Parking was ample. Take care of the low stone walls along the entrance drive. Local eatery (Mhor 84) was excellent for dinner - better to book. Breakfast (included) was excellent with a wide choice and great local and home made produce.
Cons: The four poster bed in Oak room was romantically on the small side. Note that pets are allowed - not a problem for us - so allergy sufferers be aware.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Kerry and Andy were lovely and friendly. Facilities were great and breakfast was perfect

From the lovely clean rooms, to pampering toiletries, to breakfast cooked just the way you like it, to umbrellas at the doorway for your use...she has thought of everything. This is not just a business but clearly hosting from the heart! Besides all this, the lodge is situated right at the center of town, set back from the main street so very quiet, but steps away from lots of stores and restaurants to explore, and from a lovely tourist information center that gave us great ideas for each day we were there.
