Restaurant was fantastic . Boutique nature. Location
No elevator to upper floors.
I asked for an adapter to charge my phone, but, it wasn't available and since it was Sunday, I couldn't buy one.
Property consists of a very old but beautiful building. Rooms were spacious and bed comfortable. Everything was very clean.
Rude and unprofessional management. This is a guesthouse and not a hotel. We were stood up for 1 hour at the airport, although we had filled in the online form and received a confirmation. When we called from the airport they lied saying the driver was cought in traffic. The driver told us they called him last minute, after we called the hotel and were already at the airport. When we asked the manager he casually told us they had never received our transfer reservation because the online form does not work, as if this is something we ought to know. Zero effort to accomodate, to compensate. The property has no elevator, no ramp, no provision of any kind for mobility impaired people. The personnel watches you carry your own luggage up two flights of very creaky old stairs. Breakfast is basic, noone speaks english at the restaurant, zero ability to communicate. First night I called at midnight to ask for a wake up call, noone picked up. They do not have 24 hours fromt desk. Second night I asked for room service, they had NO room service. I was advised to go to their restaurant. When there, I found noone. When I went back to the front office they said they had to call the cook (...). The response of the cook was that they have only 3 dishes, left overs from lunch.. When I asked the manager he shrugged and told me to go to the old city. Unacceptable! This "hotel" has no room service, no functioning restaurant, no professionalism and a pathetic management. I fail to understand how this is categorized, and charged, as a 4 star hotel.
We especially liked Andrew ... he was so helpful and welcoming .
The boutique is very neat with lovely decor, antique and chic. Breakfast was so quaint! Loved it!
