Overview

At the southern tip of Texas where the Rio Grande meets the Gulf, the SureStay by Best Western Brownsville makes an easy, comfortable base in Brownsville, Texas, a gateway to the wildlife and beaches of the Rio Grande Valley. The city rewards curiosity. The Gladys Porter Zoo, long one of the country's most respected, shelters animals across lush tropical grounds, while Palo Alto Battlefield National Historical Park preserves the opening ground of the U.S.-Mexico War just outside town. A historic downtown carries the bilingual culture of the border, and the white sand of South Padre Island lies within an easy drive for a day by the water. Comfortable rooms include a smart television, mini refrigerator, and microwave. The outdoor pool offers a cool break from the South Texas heat. A continental breakfast opens the morning. Where the country runs out of map, Brownsville opens up.
