5.0 Okay
Cons: Few things didn't work. Breakfast was mediocre. A little less value for your money.
8.8 Excellent
Pros:
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was top notch. Particularly Hozaifar at the reception was very warm and ensured that we had a great stay.
Cons: The restaurant menu could do with a few more vegetarian and vegan options.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: location, comfort
Cons: building work next door
8.5 Excellent
Pros: We previously stayed at the Movenpick which is directly next to Petra Moon at 3 times the rate, so we moved to Petra Moon for 2 nights and found the view to be the best feature, followed by close access to Petra, just 1 block away from the entrance to the Visitor's Center. Air Conditioning was good and the room was nice and cool. Small fridge in the room, and Wi-Fi was good with good speed. Food prices are reasonable for being so close to a main tourist attraction which is of course Petra. Nice rooftop area for dinner has a great view of the area. I would stay again and would recommend it for the value compared to other hotels.
Cons: 1. No alcohol available 2. The only english language channels were BBC, CNN, and had to get them to reprogram the satellite box to get MBC 2, but they were willing to do that. 3. Shower curtain doesn't reach the top of the tub so floods the bathroom floor every time you take a shower.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, next to bus station and Petra entrance . Staff very helpful specially Adam who was very courteous at the restaurant when we were having dinner.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Right at the entrance to Petra. Very comfortable rooms. Well heated, which is not a rule in the winter. Very nice food.

Cons: A little bit old style
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly, attentive service. My husband and I stayed in Jordan for five nights and with The Petra Moon for three nights after being recommended by family to stay there. They organised our taxis and tours for our whole five day trip around Jordan and couldn't help us enough with anything we needed, all the trips were faultless. I was over the moon with our stay :) !
Cons:

Petra Marriott Hotel - Wadi Musa - Building
3
8.7 Excellent (1,616 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Enjoy one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the ancient Nabatean city of Petra carved from the rock over a thousand years ago. Embracing traditional hospitality and overlooking Jordan's timeless wonder, the Petra Marriott Hotel offers anticipatory & traditional service designed to exceed all expectations. The hotel is a haven for comfort and luxury. Almost all the spacious rooms have spectacular views of the valley. There are several culinary choices such as Dushara Restaurant where you can start your day with an elaborate breakfast buffet or enjoy Middle Eastern specialties for lunch or dinner and L'Affresco, the Italian restaurant where you can feast on homemade pizza and pasta. For relaxation, you can swim in the outdoor pool and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Petra Mountains or rejuvenate your body with a Turkish bath, sauna or massage. For a banquet or special event, you couldn't find a finer choice as the hotel also features 1,790 square feet of event space overlooking the Petra Mountains.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It’s not the newest hotel but it was well maintained. The hotel was perched on the hillside overseeing the beautiful mountains of Petra. Simply breathtaking.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were superb. Hotel was extremely quiet which is what we wanted ie we heard no other guests moving around the hotel when we were in our room. Views were breath taking .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My daughter has Celiac disease and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate her dietary needs, including changing the oil in the fryer so she could have french fries and having the chef purchase gluten free pasta for her dinner. Traveling and staying at hotels is often stressful for her because we often don't know if there will be anything for her to eat and the Petra Marriott ensured that she had a wonderful experience.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Every thing is amazing and wonderful actually i love stay here so next time i will come here just for vacation not working to enjoy it more
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We have booked first a "local" hotel in Wadi Musa for apps. 60 Euro per night. That hotel was a pure nightmare: VERY cold, no hot water, pretty dirty, extremely non-sound-proof etc. So after 2 hrs in that hotel we have decided to check out and to book a descent hotel (I had my birthday, so I wanted to enjoy it and not just to survive). I have made a search through booking.com and found Marriott - a descent price for great quality. Our stay was EXCEPTIONAL. The room was big, very clean, with a spacious bathroom and a very comfortable bed. We have prolonged our stay for one night - and after a cleaning they have left a plate with fruits in our room. The restaurant is just fantastic - the food was very good, local beer Caracal is very tasty, and as the staff has realized I have my birthday I have received a free cake (bit enough to feed me and my wife) AND a glass of Macallan 15 whiskey for free (those who know how expensive alcohol is in Jordan would understand - it was a truly generous gift!) So I have said a dozen of times during my stay: it is sooooo great that we have changed our hotel! The hotel also has a great breakfast area with a fantastic view over the valley, the breakfast is very tasty and with a great selection of food.
Cons: The booking.com gives you a wrong address: it leads to an "Oscar Hotel" in Wadi Musa, while the Marriott hotel is on the road King Hussein outside of the city. But with some help of google maps we have solved the problem and found our hotel :)
6.7 Good
Pros: Just another Marriott but in an outstanding location. Inside it is just the typical Marriott you can expect. Nice room, nice service. 5 minutes to the entrance of Petra by car.
Cons: No rooms with a hot tube - a disadvantage for us as we travel with a baby. In the SPA there is only hammam and sauna, and when I visited sauna some of the SPA staff was drying her clothes directly inside the sauna. I was surprised to see such thing in a 5* hotel. Food average, both breakfast and dinner, not a value for money, small portions (another surprise for Middle East).
7.0 Good
Pros: Spacious rooms & decent bathrooms. Very quiet. Good steam bath & sauna complex
Cons: How is it possible that a 5 star hotel cannot fit curtains that actually meet in the middle? We had light pollution in the room as a result.

Pros: Amazing location and a comfy retreat after a long day exploring Petra
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location is right in front of the entrance to Petra making it ideal for visiting Petra. The staff are also very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The heater in my room didn’t work and I got a movable heater as a replacement. However, I would expect the hotel to check readiness of the room before allowing guests to check in. In addition, I booked a half-board package but it was poorly managed. Some staff had no idea where the dinner should be served for this package.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location couldn't be any better, after a whole day walking in Petra you will be very glad the hotel is literally outside the gates. The rooms are very comfortable and staff is friendly. Breakfast is amazing and the rooftop restaurant is very nice and romantic, especially at sunset.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We are upgraded to room 222 the executive suite upon arrival and it was an amazing room! There is workable gym, although it would need some working since not all machines are working. Staff are really helpful and nice.
Cons: The toilets in the lobby are really unhygienic for a such a brand. The rooms a/c or hearing wasn’t working properly, which led us to open the window which was noisy because of stray dogs. Lunch buffet can be improved.

Cons: Breakfast was ok but could easily be improved without too much cost.
6.7 Good
Pros: Clean hotel Quiet room although located on the road leading to Petra
Cons: No coffee or tea maker No safe box As is the case more often in Jordan, booking for three gives you beds only for two?!
4.2 Okay
Pros: Property was well but the reception man has a very wrong behavior . We booked the rooms and when we arrived he want to offer the different room. He was behaving and intimidating us like a mafia man. Please advise tourist to avoid the place. The behavior off staff is wrong and unacceptable.
Cons: Is on the hill, no parking place, unqualified staff for tourism, you don’t get the room that you booked.
6.0 Good
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a good breakfast, several good restaurants were very close.
Cons: The rooms are right above the street and there was a lot of traffic noise.
6.0 Good
Pros: The best part of the hotel was the gregarious manager Mahmoud, who is very likable and tries his hardest for his guests. He can arrange anything that a guest needs, from transport to food. I only stayed for one night, but there were no problems, and the hotel is situated in a very good location in Wadi Musa.
Cons: Internet is not free, shower curtain in bathroom didn't do a good job of preventing the water from getting all over the floor. Also, the restaurant that Mahmoud 'recommended' was slightly overpriced and I felt like they were trying to rip me off.
7.0 Good
Pros: We arrived very late and had forgotten to phone ahead to confirm our late arrival. The owner had given our rooms away, but made a very big effort to help us get new rooms and then transfered us to Petra the next day, etc. Was very nice management
7.7 Good
Pros: The staff asked repeatedly how that may assistance us with any needs we may have. Lunch was packed for us which was major convenience as Petra is an all day trip. Would stay there again on a return trip. Location was absolutely the best one could ask for.
Cons: This is not an upscale hotel, but you are there to see the sights and meet people. It is a great place to do what you come there for.
5.3 Okay
Pros: Mahmoud the manager was a real character and would do anything to help.
Cons: Shower and bathroom very basic, not dirty but barely usable. Whole place has seen better days.

Pros: The staff were lovely
Cons: The property is a little away from the main areas of hotels/restaurants in Wadi Musa. We had a car so this was fine but it meant driving to dinner each night. We could have walked but it was 15 mins up hill that our legs couldn’t manage after a day of hiking!

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great value for money in terms of location and breakfast and rooms (they are quite dated). Staff are attentive.
Cons: The WiFi wasn't working and electricity went out while we were there but it came back quickly.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good value for money
5.0 Okay
Pros: Conveniently located above a good restaurant. Helpful and smiling receptionist.
Cons: The room we were given the first night was freezing cold because the air conditioner did not work. We told the receptionist who did something with the electricity switches and assured us that it would start working soon. It didn't! We woke up in a frozen room! The next morning we were given a new room where luckily the air conditioner worked. The bathrooom however in both cases had no heating unit and it was very difficult to have a shower in such cold. Cleaning was average! I found the wrap of a candy bar on the floor of the second room we were given which makes me wonder whether the floor had been cleaned at all. The restaurant where breakfast was served was equally cold. We could only have breakfast wearing our jackets. Breakfast itself was nothing special. Quite a lot of money for a very poor service (for my european standards).
7.5 Good
Pros: Next to the restaurant, so easy for us to looking food
Cons: The carpet in the room need refurbished
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing at all!
Cons: AVOID!!!!AVOID!!!!AVOID!!!! - name of hotel wrong, it is named El Rashid not Al Rashid - filthy, smelly old carpet in room on which you want to walk only in shoes - big shard broken out of ceiling lamp - mouldy bathroom - bathroom door has to be forced in the frame by kicking or slaming to close - bedside lamp switch defect - pull plug to turn off - towel holder dangling on a screw - extreme slow draining sink and shower tub - bathroom flooding by overflowing shower tub, no sink on floor - exaggerated room rates - withered plastic flowers in room - yes they are withered! - unheated breakfast room (13°C), lobby and stairs - breakfast buffet : 250 ml Water in joghurt cup, tea bags, instant coffe powder, hot water, orange juice + breakfast served to table: flat bread, 1 jam, 1 butter, 1 honey, bit hummus on plate, joghurt in bowl, 2 sesam cookies, half a omelette - power loss of entire hotel for over half an hour - poor to no english speaking staff - receptionist sitting smoking in the lobby instead at reception desk - water temperature in bathroom changes from really cold to really hot without interaction, caused by tap use of other rooms - aircon fails at 3:00 AM making hell noise, had to find the fuse in the corridor to cut power as nobody available by phone or via reception
5.0 Okay
Pros: Very central location and a reasonably priced restaurant.
Cons: The room was extremely cold. AC heating was just not enough. The building seems very old.
7.1 Good
Pros: It was clean, they decreased the price when they realised we were only two in 3 persons room.
Cons: It was cold in the room and the hotel. There is very little to do in Wadi Musa - try to book a hotel in Petra (restaurants, shops etc. Are located there)
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is great, near a lot of restaurants, supermarkets. 2min drive from Petra's visitor centre. Friendly staff, confortable room (a/c, wifi), good breakfast. Good value for the money.
Overview Reviews
Explore the magnificent Red Rose City of Petra from an elevated fortress-style hotel in the rolling hills of the captivating Rift Valley. Located a 10 mins drive from the historic site of Petra. Enjoy the free minibar in one of our 90 renovated rooms and suites, each with balconies and terraces that face the striking landscape. After a day of exploration, relax in the heated indoor pool. Relish sumptuous Jordanian specialties and international fare at the restaurant, bar, and on the outdoor terraces
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We was not sure if we did the right choice to take the hotel out of Petra, but it was a perfect choice. First off all the view out of the window to mountain canyon - wow. Secondly the city is just a few minutes away and u feel isolated from all the tourists and the noise. the staff is very helpful and nice.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Nothing
Cons: We booked a King Suite room and we were shown a street with a view to the road. After we complained, they gave us a standard very small thiny room which we could believe Movenpick could have and the last room was in no way better than the first one, but we had no choice as all the other hotels around were fully booked!
7.5 Good
Pros: Quiet, good location with beautiful view, good food for breakfast, convenient if you have a rental car
Cons: The welcoming staff could have given more information about Petra. They did not mention that Petra Museum is amazing.
6.7 Good
Cons: Pool was at 16°, too cold to get a swin. food was not up to the mark for such hotel. room was not sound proof.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The buffet dinner and breakfast were very good. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean.
Cons: Our room was at the front of the property and there was a lot of noise from delivery vehicles in the early morning. If I was to visit again I would ask for a room overlooking the valley at the rear of the property
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Not much - except maybe they were able to help me with getting ticket to petra by night the last minute, but then if they mentioned it during check in I would’ve known .. (but they had check in logistic issue, see below)
Cons: 1) Reception couldn’t find my booking via booking.com, had to spend more than 15 mins questioning if I did make the booking or not despite I showed them the confirmation email etc. And so far they are the only hotel who had such issue with booking.com 2)Breakfast included but couldn’t find my room number record at the breakfast place for two consecutive days, they did let me get in at the end but that whole convincing conversation was so unnecessary 3)The access key didn’t work for the second day as if they didn’t register my second stay 4)Inconsistent pricing for dinner 5) Confusing tv program that did not match the program menu the put on the desk, they said the tv menu they put in my room was for other rooms
5.4 Okay
Pros: Nice people
Cons: Really not good value for money

Pros: With a large room and breakfast included, our one night stay here was convenient and comfortable. We also took advantage of the buffet dinner which was very reasonably priced. The staff were helpful and polite. A good basic hotel for visits to Petra.
Cons: There was a noise from some kind of pump or machine? during the night. It wasn’t loud enough for us to complain but we did mention it to front desk the next morning.

Pros: The only thing good about the hotel apart from the view from the terrace were the staff especially Mr. Mahmoud Nawafleh..I think that's the reason we stayed back...because of the friendly staff who tried to make our stay pleasant.
Cons: The rooms were old and worn out...nothinglike the pictures on the site..the bathroom was dirty, mouldy and stained..we had to change the room.as the WC faucet was leaking ..however the other room provided was in the same state..but we stayed anyways as we were fed up with changing the rooms.the swimming pool was half filled and un usable.the furniture in the room.was broken and worn out..
8.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, shuttle to Petra site, great breakfast
Cons: Dinner was misleading- would have been cheaper to eat out.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very gentle. Easy payment. Good quality of food (both for breakfast and dinner). Shuttle service availability from/to Petra
Cons: Quite far from petra visitors center. Need to take shuttle or taxi to go there.
1.0 Poor
Pros: The guy who make the omelettes at breakfast
Cons: Dirty, old, bad management,... a totally disaster.
2.9 Mediocre
Cons: For the price paid > 600 euros for 4 pax during 2 nights , the quality and the service of the hotel were very very poor - shower dismantled when we arrived in the room - cleaning of the rooms ... we wondering ourselves if the sheets have been changed - Carpet were dirty - buffet without any taste - 3 electricity shutdown We can accept simplicity , and imperfections, but cleanness is a must

7.9 Good
Pros: Convenient location
Cons: Bathroom fan was noisy
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: I like the view over the city and the facilities to smoke.
Cons: I did not like the high cost of medium-low quality food, the abusive cost of beers (7'5 jod per bottle), the shown price without taxes and service charges (+25 %) and the "sit down and wait" attitude.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was amazing!!! Location with a great view and super sweet and helpful people

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is pretty basic but it was very clean. The guy at the reception was very helpful and polite, as were all other Jordanian people that we met during our vacation in Jordan. The beds were very large and extremely comfortable. The view from the terrace is spectacular.
Cons: Location is a little bit far from Petra and it's up the hill. Breakfast was nothing to write home about and the toilet had a smell of sewage.

1.0 Poor
Cons: This is one situation when its not clear why booking is giving such high rate. The place is in reality a mediocre 3 stars and very expensive one
5.0 Okay
Cons: Very Overpriced, the windows doesn’t isolate from the street (temps rite and noise), the bathroom need clairement some work. Very surprised of the note of booking who pushed us to book it. It’s not worth it.
