Pros: Excellent location, very close to the railway station. Our room was right facing the square, it’s amazing seeing the sun rising in the early morning in the empty square and gradually the it is filled with the vendors. The receptions were very kind and willing to help, although the lady gave me the wrong information about the railway station, but she did it in a good will and luckily I myself made the right decision and did not miss the train :-)

Pros: Booked last minute and the staff were excellent, very accommodating. Lady at the front desk couldn't have been nicer, and even gave us a free room upgrade since the computer system was having a bit of trouble. The room was very clean and well isolated, couldn't hear any noise at all. The toiletries were excellent, and the bed was very comfortable. And the breakfast buffet was excellent, lots of choices. Overall, nothing to fault.

Cons: The only suggestion would be if the hotel can switch the sensor light to normal bulb, the door way on second floor was so dim and dark at night, I dared not take the lift even. Imagine a coming lift with people conservation inside and when the door is open you realize it was empty and the sound is part of the music and around you was the darkness.

The young brunette lady at check-in waived our parking fee and surprised me with a pair of Toblerone's and a bottle of house wine as it was my birthday. Later they lent us a phone charger. The room had a wonderful view. The young gentleman at checkout was also very forthcoming with extending our check out by an hour and letting us stay parked until evening for no extra charge.

Pros: We arrived and was greeted with a nice cold glass of Moscato D’Asti. We stayed for our wedding anniversary on the 6th of Aug. The horel was really nice. The room was nicely decorated with rose petals and a bottle of sparkling wine was sent to our room.

Pros: The hotel is conveniently located close to the center, but not catching all the noise form the center. People at the reception were extremely friendly and the welcome drink was surprisingly tasty. My son spent over an hour in the bathtub, that's how relaxing it was. I had an excellent night of sleep. The offer in pillows is varied and I found my preferred option. The breakfast was splendid. Good offer of all sorts of breakfasts and pancakes are prepared right in front of you. I would go back any time I stay in Brno.

Cons: Lack of air conditioning in the room meant that the window has to stay open all night in hot weather. Due to the central location there is a lot of street noise until the early hours. The hostel provides earplugs which keep most of the noise out, but please be aware that the town hall clock strikes every 15 minutes and earplugs cannnot deflect that noise! A minor gripe which did not really spoil my stay at this lovely hostel.

Cons: Bathroom missed shower gel/shampoo (only liquid hand soap), toilet needed minor repairs (holder for toiler paper, seat). Room lacked hooks for garments, had to be placed on chairs. Not suitable for light sleepers as there are church chimes striking every quarter of a hour nearby (of course, not the hostel's fault, but there it is).

Cons: Arriving by car is a little tricky, there is no place to stop the car in front of the hotel. You have to go to the near shopping center “Spalicek” which has an underground garage and leave your car there. After check-in you will receive a card to access parking, and since then you can use the parking at any time. Maybe this should be mentioned in the hotel info page, so that visitors do not have to search a place where to leave their car to check-in.

Cons: We ordered a room in the description of which indicated that its size is 20 square meters, that it has a bathrobe and slippers, as well as tea and coffee facilities. In fact, it turned out that a room measuring 10 square meters (so small that the suitcase had to be placed in the bathroom), a coffee machine is present, but coffee is for money only, and there is no tea, bathrobe or slippers at all. When we contacted the reception we were told that we have a very good bathroom instead, and everything that is missing is only in the delux rooms.
Well, in addition, it is very stuffy on the stairs and in the elevators, there are no air conditioners there.
A huge problem is with parking. To enter the hotel, you need to break the rules of the road and go under the sign "pedestrian zone" and hope that the police will not stop you. It is still impossible to drive up to the hotel itself, since the road is blocked by a barrier. so the closest point in 50 meters. Then the porter should come and repark the car. In our case, it simply was not there. And if you have a lot of luggage ...
It's all very far from the declared 4-stars and certainly not worth the money we paid.

Pros: I called ahead to check whether we could leave our bags at the hotel for the morning, before check-in. The receptionist was more than accommodating. She even booked us a taxi to get there from our last hotel in Brno. The reception area is small and given the capacity of the rooms, makes you wonder how they can handle so many guests. The rooms with balconies, small outside pool and fitness centre are all part of the room price. Overall, I can say that it's great value for money at 44 euros a night for a standard twin room. We ordered room service and decided to sit out on the balcony and have dinner. I chose the club sandwich and fries, which really hit the spot after a day traipsing around Brno. The waiter in the bar was kind and very approachable. As for the pool don't expect anything outstanding but is a pleasant place to pass a few hours. It's located across a car park/courtyard in a small patio. There is a small bar and changing facility enabling you to relax poolside in reasonable comfort.

Cons: The room service was an absolute disaster... I don't know where to begin, really. For example, after two days of not cleaning in the room (and I mean it... did absolutely nothing), I have a complained at the front desk and the next day the dirty dishes, which I have placed into the sink, was put back on the shelf without washing it... So, you can imagine the rest of the room service for your self... On top of that, the were staying several groups at the hotel and the screamed and made nose in the yard until midnight and nobody seemed to care about it. Because of not having air conditioners in the rooms you are forced to sleep with an open window, or better to say not to sleep... Basically, the overall level of this hotel went down quite a bit. It is gotten more like immigrant worker house...

Cons: What brings this place down a notch is the location on a run down street. Whilst it is not threatening, men peering over their street facing windows are an ever apparent sight. Security is top notch and the hotel is a different world from the street it's placed on.

Pros: The hotel: I loved this hotel and it's atmosphere. The first impression when you enter it is that you are coming back in time, in a very good way. The bedroom was very spacious with a high ceiling. Everything was extremely clean. The bathroom was nice with a bath tub and the pressure of the water in the shower was perfectly strong. The receptionist and the securities are very kind and patient. The breakfast was very good for me. I enjoyed the experience to have my breakfast listening to background 20's music in a beautiful dinning room. The location: it's very well located in the entrance of the city center. It's only 5 minutes walk distance to many of the attractions. The central bus station and the train station are in front of the hotel, but I don't think it was noisy (I believe it depends of the position of the bedroom).

Front desk personnel was polite, but unable to solve problems.
Cons: Temperature in the room was at 30 C / 86F. AC does not work and personnel is not capable to handle the issue.
It made it for a very unpleasant and uncomfortable stay.
Bathrooms were quite filthy - mold, hair, green residue over bathtub area. Soap dispensers were 'crusty' on the top, it basically looked like it hasn't been cleaned in a while.
We will not consider staying again and I do not recommend this hotel.

Pros: Good breakfast.
Cons: Very hot in the room. No air condition. No refrigerator. Very noisy from other rooms and from the street if you open the window.

Pros: Breakfast buffet was good and starts at 6.30 which is better than 7.00. (6.00 would be even better given how busy it is at 6.30) Beds were comfortable with clean linen.
Cons: Not a great location for the town but obviously convenient for conference centre. Bus stop one way is just outside but the other way is a walk. No shops nearby. Please put some signs up to tell the guests to BE QUIET!. BE QUIET! when you are bidding each other endless goodnights in the corridor. SHUT up when you take your boombox speakers outside the hotel for a smoke break at 10pm. Better still change the smoking area. The door had been kicked in and repaired (see photo). Nasty stains on the furniture (see photo). I wouldn't expect either. No plug sockets anywhere you would really need a plug socket (like by the bed?).

Pros: Very comfortable bed and pillow. Very nice breakfast! Fast and efficient check-in and check-out process. Nice area behind the hotel with an old railroad left for decoration, very well maintained.
Cons: It's on a main road and it is a little bit noisy.

Cons: There is not refrigerator and air conditioner in the room. For one day is not a big problem but for longer staying in summer months will not be ok.

Pros: Included breakfast was great. Staff were friendly. The hotel is quiet old and is in need of some new furniture and love. If you have the choice stay at the new hotel Veronez next door. It’s much nicer and has a great bar and restaurant.

Pros: The room was rather clean and tidy, and the breakfast at the restaurant had a nice big selection of foods. Reception staff was very courteous and polite.
Cons: There was an incident involving cleaning staff where a member of the cleaning staff ignored a "do not disturb" sign and attempted to open the door to my room, all before it was even checkout time.

Pros: The breakfast was perfect (varied and suitable also for vegetarians and vegans). During motogp weekend it started very early, on Saturday from 6.30 am and on Sunday from 6.00 am. Two years ago I was in the same hotel but in another, much different room. This room was comfortable and spacious with a nice bathroom.

Pros: 35 minutes walking distance from the city centre. You can also take a tram instead. Free, private car park just under the building. There is a tiny elevator available so you can fit in with another person an a cabin bag sized luggage :)

Pros: I stayed in the A3 building of the hotel, the rooms are adequate - they are reasonably large, they have a nice balcony, and come with a in-room kitchen and toilet. The beds are amazingly confortable in my opinion, and a joy to sleep on! The staff is friendly, and they are good with English. The reception at A1 works all day and night, and has a fridge with cheap sandwiches, which is perfect when returning late in the evening from visiting bars and pubs. All receptions also have vending machines with various cheap coffees, sodas, waters and snacks. The hotel is actually a student hall residence complex, which means that you can meet many friendly people (especially at night around the complex) which are ERASMUS students in Brno. Perfect if you want to hang out with people - but only from October till June. Close to the hotel is a bus station (above the hotel), as well as a tram station (below the hotel), which can take you to the center of the city at any time. Breakfast was really good, with a huge selection of food, drinks and snacks. There is a huge garden behind the hotel, with benches and tables - perfect for late night hanging out with friends.

Cons: No kitchen equipment whatsoever. No hair dryer or WiFi available. The discrete charm of socialism could undergo some renovation already. Breakfasts, that were advertised, are given away only, when the university canteen is opened.

Cons: This is not a hotel, this is a student Pension or student campus! The room was very noisy. Without air conditioning. When the windows opened, a rock band concert was heard. Other guests were heard from the adjoining rooms. In the morning somebody burst into the room as I walked out of the bathroom. I asked the reception to buy a ticket for public transport, but they paid no attention to me. The breakfast was very disgusting. I would not visit the hotel again!

Cons: Some things in the room were damaged or broken (probably due to the hotel actually being student hall residences) - things like lights, handles and shower glass panel doors. The price is a bit too expensive when compared to the quality you get. But there is a charm to the old aesthetics of the rooms, and it is nice to feel like a student living in a dorm with your friends!

Cons: There is no wifi in the rooms, only in the lobby.It was impossible to use wired internet in the rooms ( no usb cable).
