Pros: Booked last minute and the staff were excellent, very accommodating. Lady at the front desk couldn't have been nicer, and even gave us a free room upgrade since the computer system was having a bit of trouble. The room was very clean and well isolated, couldn't hear any noise at all. The toiletries were excellent, and the bed was very comfortable. And the breakfast buffet was excellent, lots of choices. Overall, nothing to fault.

Room clean and quiet. We have even had tea and coffe in our room(spoon missing). Perfect location - we never used our car for whole staying there, everything was so close.

Pros: Location is great, sauna was very cool place to chill out after nice thai oil massage which is available directly in the hotel too. Very comfy and large beds. Eventhough our view was into busy street with trams, it was silent in the room. Reception (the guy today morning, sorry I do not remember his name) was very kind, helpful and professional. Pros: The Barcelo Brno Palace is a wonderful place to stay when visiting Brno. I arrived during a down pour & a young women immediately walked up to me to ask if she could be of assistance. The glass of champagne was very appreciated! The hotel is located in a lovely neighborhood. Perched on a hill, there is a small park behind the hotel with wonderful views of the city. Additionally, everything the city offers is within walking distance. My room was very large with modern furnishings & a spa tub for soaking. The breakfast was excellent. I had a very good meal in the bar one night. The bar is just off the hotel's lovely atrium. There was a cocktail party going on that night. A young woman was playing a harp while I was enjoying my meal & her highly entertaining performance. Brno was the 4th city where I stayed in the Czech Republic. Do not miss visiting this city. I hope to return & stay at the Barcelo again.

Cons: only thing we did not like was the forced wake-up by repeated entering of house keeping early morning. But reception took an immediate action and also offered us breakfast in the room as apology, which made our morning nice again.

Cons: Since I was travelling for work, my work required night shifting coverage, when I was coming back to sleep there was alot of noises in the corridor from the cleaning staff in the morning, talking loud even when I had the tag on the door to come back later etc.. The other thing was so annoying the room that I had was seperated by a door while I could hear the people next to me yelling screaming. It was so annoying and bothered me the whole night! I hope you will take this note into consideration and make sure you won't reserve the room that I was having the room number was 531, thank you

When we contacted the reception we were told that we have a very good bathroom instead, and everything that is missing is only in the delux rooms.
Well, in addition, it is very stuffy on the stairs and in the elevators, there are no air conditioners there.
A huge problem is with parking. To enter the hotel, you need to break the rules of the road and go under the sign "pedestrian zone" and hope that the police will not stop you. It is still impossible to drive up to the hotel itself, since the road is blocked by a barrier. so the closest point in 50 meters. Then the porter should come and repark the car. In our case, it simply was not there. And if you have a lot of luggage ...

Cons: The bed was a bit too soft. My wife and I both had a few aches and pains after four nights.My back is a bit sensitive at the moment as I am having chiropractic treatment, but my wife is usually fine. Maybe we just got a bad mattress?

I would rate it as a 4 star just for a lack of customer service. The servers in the restaurant might as well have throw our food at us with the manner in which they placed down our food ilì⁸⁹ down.

Cons: Our bathroom sink was slightly plugged so it filled up and took a while to drain. When I filled up the bathtub, it would slowly drain because it wouldn't plug properly.

Front desk personnel was polite, but unable to solve problems.
Cons: Temperature in the room was at 30 C / 86F. AC does not work and personnel is not capable to handle the issue.
It made it for a very unpleasant and uncomfortable stay.
Bathrooms were quite filthy - mold, hair, green residue over bathtub area. Soap dispensers were 'crusty' on the top, it basically looked like it hasn't been cleaned in a while.
We will not consider staying again and I do not recommend this hotel.

(Barcelo hotel in city center, grand hotel is in city center , continental hotel in city center). - Room not very 4 star hotel, old town hotel ‘s rooms are a real 4 stars. - they didn’t even let a welcome bottle of water gift in the room. - Mini bar fridge was empty and smelly. - we ordered an iron, to iron our clothes, we used it it ruined a 5000 CZK shirt. (My wife had a conference next day she needed that shirt and it was ruined by very cheap iron !) compensation was one free drink at the bar voucher !?. - TV was old and not fit for a 4 star hotel, it emitted a weird sound (like a bad beeping ) the minute we got in the room, we called reception and they took 10 mn to fix it.

The reception at A1 works all day and night, and has a fridge with cheap sandwiches, which is perfect when returning late in the evening from visiting bars and pubs. All receptions also have vending machines with various cheap coffees, sodas, waters and snacks. The hotel is actually a student hall residence complex, which means that you can meet many friendly people (especially at night around the complex) which are ERASMUS students in Brno. Perfect if you want to hang out with people - but only from October till June. Close to the hotel is a bus station (above the hotel), as well as a tram station (below the hotel), which can take you to the center of the city at any time. Breakfast was really good, with a huge selection of food, drinks and snacks. There is a huge garden behind the hotel, with benches and tables - perfect for late night hanging out with friends.

Cons: Some things in the room were damaged or broken (probably due to the hotel actually being student hall residences) - things like lights, handles and shower glass panel doors. The price is a bit too expensive when compared to the quality you get. Cons: A short list of the disadvantages: - Rooms look rather old-ish. I don’t have height expectations usually, but still.. (same goes for the bathroom, though it was clean) - Not all rooms are separated, you can access some of them through other rooms. Not really practical. Plus if I would be staying in the middle room, I definitely would not want other people going through my room, even if I have the possibility to lock away my belongings. - Hostel is located in the suburbs, like 4-5 tram/bus stations away from the city center (approx 2 kilometers). It’s not far, but definitely not a central location. - The hostel is situated right in the neighborhood of a night bar. As I always came home late evening, did not experience any noise or music that would prevent me from sleeping, but this might be an issue, as other people already noted in the comments section. - Right at the entrance there is a gyros fast food restaurant. I like similar food, but the constant smell of the hot, greasy food is rather nauseating, and you cannot avoid this when going to the hostel (nevertheless, it’s important to note that you cannot notice it anymore once you are already inside the hostel).

Pros: The staff were lovely and really helpful. The value for money is good really as it is one of the cheaper places in Brno. Bar downstairs which is fun if that’s the kind of trip you’re on.
Cons: Wasn’t particularly clean, especially the bathrooms. Quite a walk into town but not too far and there are trams

Pros: Nice place, In a good position, no so close from the town but 20min by tram, good breakfasf

Pros: You get what you pay for and a little more. It's nice to have bed linen, towels and a padlock included in the price. The staff have always been friendly and helpful. Depsite being out of the centre there are many eateries nearby.
Cons: This hostel isn't always the cleanest. Also if you are a light sleep be prepared for the noise from the club downstairs which can go on until the early hours. The club also shares the same entrance corridor as the hostel.
