Outstanding short break in Brighton
Good old fashioned hotel in a fantastic seaside location, The Grand offers a calming atmosphere mixed with special personal service to make all guests feel welcome. The staff couldn't enough for us 10/10.
Walking up the Victorian staircase, But having said that there are also two lifts available.
It was right next door to Paul Weller concert
Small bedroom
everything was brilliant especially the breakfast there was so much choice.service throughout hotel was great and rooms and hotel very clean.it is a very grand hotel hence the name.plus great location opposite the beachfront with 5 minute walk to the pier.
The only problem was a bathroom sink that didn't drain and a long line for the reservation desk. Other than these issues it was lovely.
Very very good staff, attentive and very helpful
Charged for using a credit card to pay my bill so I will never use or allow my staff to use a De Vere Hotel ever again, bed uncomfortable
The service was excellant, especially when trying to resolve issues. The location was great.
The room was far too hot and to cool it down had to use air con unit which was located behind the curtains, absolutely no use when sleeping. The Tv was fauty and had interference. the shower curtain needed replacing as it was not adequate with the power of th shower and splurged water all over the floor, making it slippery and dangerous. There was a function on the saturday evening which we could hear the music to 3 floors up, although the staff offered us another room at 1 in the morning, the bed was tiny; so not suitable at all. Late check out was denied enough though we were too tired to face the long drive home and no discount as an apology for inconvienences. Very disappointing for a hotel of this standard so thus would not recommend.
facilities, getting a sea view as a free upgrade, staff friendly.
the helpfulness of all the staff was absoultely brilliant
the price of room service and the mini bar was extortionate
location & service
Price especially parking costs
Feedback is just ok
As i said before, it was a bit tatty
