Convenient location, nothing more
Very convenient location near the city center
Lots of stairs without a lift, the WiFi didn’t work (and even when I called for assistance they didn’t help), and the tiny bathroom smelled horrible, like some kind of sewage smell was seeping out from the drain.
The welcome, the location and the comfort of the rooms
The owners were very friendly and informative. Very good breakfast. Excellent location
The location is excellent.
Rooms/bathrooms were very small and there were quite a lot of stairs (no lift). If we had been unfit or very large people it could have been a problem. I was also disappointed that, having booked at least 4 months ahead and requested a quiet room, we were given one overlooking the street. We were able to move to another room the second night which was quieter but the bathroom was even smaller and you couldn't move in there!
This is a sweet little hotel right in the centre of town run by a wonderfully friendly couple who make it feel more like a b and b than a hotel.
Unfortunately the room I had was a bit shabby and the bathroom was tiny. Really tiny. Don't expect luxury.
location was great the stuff was very pleasent
the room was not very clean and there was no soap in the shower
Extremely nice and helpful front desk! Location was amazing. Very well-kept hotel.
Room was very small (but very clean). Hotel was within ear shot of building construction down the street that made for a somewhat restless sleep.
Welcoming classy little hotel. Well located quiet street. Clean, nice art work on the walls. Attention to detal. Pleasant breakfast room. Good value breakfast.
The location is perfect! The owner and his wife were very friendly and helpfull. The rooms were clean and the atmosphere was warm and cosy. We were very positive about our stay in Hotel de France!
Location excellent. Staff lovely - very helpful. Nice breakfast. Relaxed atmosphere.
Small rooms but fine for price and limited stay. Little noisy at night from street but typical of city centre location on a Friday night.
Simple hotel but very tasteful and clean. Small but cosy room with good bed. Location couldn't be better. Excellent and friendly service. Given the price this hotel is an excellent if not the best choice in Bordeaux.
