Pros: Great place to stay, the staff were very helpful and the breakfast on the terrace was exellent. The rooms were better than expected, although a little small they had everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable. You get to use the facilities of a hotel around the corner which were 5* so make sure you ask!

Pros: Quaint, quiet and very comfortable. The staff are super friendly and warm. The adjacent Porta Hotel Antigua is open for a beautiful and free buffet breakfast each day. Sunday’s buffet extra awesome. The pool & gym at Porta also open to Casa Encantada guests. Great value for the money.

Pros: The hotel is beautiful, in a Spanish-style hacienda, beautiful small garden. The room was small but was very clean, comfortable and with pampering small things. The room (no. 1) was quiet. Breakfast was great. You can also have it in the chain's other hotel which is nearby (with bigger selection of buffet). The service was very good. Most of the hotel's team knew English. Intimate feel and atmosphere.

Cons: The only one thing was not perfect is the size of the room. There is a big bed in the room, which is perfect, but there is literally no space to move besides walking around the bed. On one hand it makes you spend more time outside and just sleep in the room.

Pros: Chez Daniel is spacious, spotless, quiet....and perfect. The attention to detail and guest satisfaction is superb. After 3 months of travel, this is the nicest place we have stayed (but not the priciest, by far). We are close to town but tucked in a quiet neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle. This place is worth 10 stars!!!!

Pros: Located on a quiet street with a short walk to the Central Park, market, various shops and restaurants. Daniel, Veronica and staff were very friendly and so helpful and made us feel at home. Our large room on the upper level had a double and single bed, a desk, double wardrobes and dresser. The bathroom was extremely spacious and had a large bathtub with shower. We enjoyed the breakfasts of various delicious fresh fruits, fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee, croissants and baguettes with an assortment of jams. There was a interior courtyard beautifully landscaped with an abundance of trees, bushes and flowers where we could relax. I was surprised at all of the green spaces that Daniel had created to enrich the atmosphere! I would highly recommend Chez Daniel for your stay in Antigua.

Pros: The hotel, the staff, the breakfast, the views of the volcanoes, free use of kitchen, and the night quietness of the location were all outstanding. This has been my second time staying there and will continue do so. I highly recommend it.
Cons: If you are not used to walking, you might find it a little far to tourist locations. My wife are in our 70s and 80s and it was no problem doing the walk.

Pros: What I liked about the property was the view from my room, the exceptional French continental breakfast and the spaciousness of the room and nice and quiet.
Cons: Because it was rainy season my room was leaking with water from the roof right next to my bed, which I had to lay a towel on the floor. Also the bed cover and comforters was really dusty and unconformable to sleep in, I had to go outside and dust it out. The towels and hand towels were old and dirty looking. And the wifi didn't have great connection. The staff was great however not always reachable to ask a question because they were only at the property during a certain time.

The property is gorgeous and full of flowers, plants, rooftop garden, many benches, hammocks and chairs. Marina is the perfect host. Marina and her nice staff made us feel welcome and helped us with questions about the city and transportation. Breakfast is prepared fresh to order and her omelettes and the homemade marmalade is fantastic! We will return to Villa Serena, if we visit Antigua again!

Pros: Villa Serena was an absolute dream. It was so beautiful, and all of the attention to detail was much appreciated. It was quiet at night, super clean, and an overall peaceful serene feel. The plants and flowers all around make it feel like you are in complete paradise. It is a but far from the center for walking, and off the path, so I kw that you are away from all of the action, which is exactly what I wanted in this stay. The staff and owner Marina, are all amazing and really love Antigus. Highly recommend!

Cons: The water and hot water in the bathroom stopped many times.we are so cold!!! The desk and chair on the veranda were dirty and unusable. There was trash on the veranda. There was a lot of laundry left by the caretaker and I didn't want to see it from the room
