Pros: Lovely quaint lodge, excellent breakfast and impeccably clean & comfortable. We have already booked another stay in January
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfasts were scrumptious and real homemade by Mary one of the owners and her staff! Mary had wonderful suggestions for places to go things to do each morning before our scheduled activities (we were in the area for a weekend long wedding). We did everything she suggested and really managed to see the sights of the area -both nature, and local towns, shopping and lunch. Bill the other owner greeted us each evening when we arrived back and provided us with good conversation and beverages from the bar. And the first evening after a long hot arduous trip up to Vermont (long story) - he provided us with a great dinner platter of warm rolls, crackers, vermont cheeses and spreads and nuts, tea and coffee, despite the kitchen having been closed down. It just hit the spot! Highly recommended Inn! Perfectly located!
Cons: Everything was perfect.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The best breakfast I've had at a hotel in a long time. World-class blueberry pancakes. Staff are super nice.
6.7 Good
Pros: Better breakfast than any other hotel/motel I've stayed in. The owner takes great pride in providing his own special roast of imported coffees, and he's a darned good cook to boot. Staff the friendliest I've ever met.
Cons: For me, the bed was too hard. I realize traveler's opinions will vary with what they like in comfort, for me, it was tough to get a good night's sleep. I've always been a light sleeper, and always wear foamy ear plugs to bed (the kind you get at the drugstore, supposed to help reduce the impact of external noises. They work fine, unless your room faces a main highway, with some pretty loud trucks coming and going all night. If you want peace and quiet at night, you will probably want to consider staying somewhere else. The rooms were clean, but clearly a throwback to the 1960's.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: close to some really cool spots ...breakfast was delish lots of variety... the ppl there are wonderful

Cons: next time we will book a larger room. But, the room was fine
9.2 Excellent
Pros: This is a historic hotel—where one trade’s off cookie-cutter 4-star luxury for something real. Those antiques over there were not purchased a couple of years ago to give the place atmosphere, they were there 70 years ago when the place was first opened. If you’re in to classics, this is a great place. Excellent pub where the locals come to eat, great staff, hiker history and a bunch of lt and at thruhikers

Cons: The section we stayed in had no elevator. Does the newer wing?
5.0 Okay
Pros: It was quiet.
Cons: I normally stay in name brand hotels. Marriott /Crown Plaza etc. This place was pricey for a hotel that didn't have heat or air conditioning and it was old.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room we were given was very spacious. It included a living room, a TV, a table with a closet that had board games. It seems the room was suitable for a family stay for a few days. We only stayed there for one night. There was also another small room where there was a medium size fridge that served us. Overall comfortable, the heating worked efficiently.
