The location is absolutely amazing with the most beautiful view of the Matterhorn. Hiking trails right outside the hotel, cute train that takes you directly from and to the public train to the hotel. The rooms are very nicely furnished, especially the bathrooms with the stone showers and I loved the mix between modern and chalet style. The outside pool was very nice with different massage and whirlpool functions. The bar is very cosy with good food and drink options and they have an amazing piano player that has a great sense for the atmosphere and always knows exactly what to play. Most of the staff were amazing, friendly and fun! Overall a wonderful place to stay!
1.The breakfast is a bit basic and could improve considering the price you pay for the night (especially fruit, bread and cheese) - maybe add something innovative?. 2. Some of the staff at breakfast/dining felt quite stressed and confused- this probably due to high season. However there was one extremely unprofessional lady at the reception (short blond hair, didn't catch the name) that was rude from the very beginning. She was the one "greeting" us when we arrived at the hotel. You could just tell right away that, for some reason, she thought we were super annoying - maybe because we were quite a big group and with two small kids. For example: As I had booked via booking.com during high season, I had to make 2 bookings for one of the couples as there was no availability to book the same room for all the 4 nights we stayed. Because of this, basically the first thing she would tell me when we wanted to check in was that "our bookings were a COMPLETE MESS, as we had booked SO MANY rooms" and that i had to "SORT IT OUT for her". I really have a hard time to understand what's so messy about me booking 2 different rooms for one couple when there is no other availability and how is this so hard to sort out for her as a receptionist at a hotel where you pay maximum prices? But most of all it was just her tone and her way how she treated us that was so snobby and unfriendly. There were several other incidents with this lady including one when she got really annoyed and basically refused to help a family that got lost at night and that we tried to help by letting them stay at the hotel bar for a while (as it was freezing outside) to catch the next train. Basically this lady had a very snobby approach and would try to make you feel like a dumb, annoying tourist that she needs to handle. Very unprofessional, especially for a 5 star resort (but really for any hotel standard).
Stunning location, helpful staff, fantastic wellness with incredible views
During our one week trip my entire family felt spoiled here and we couldn't have wished for a better location. The staff was nice and attentive, the property was impeccably clean and we will go back for sure.
Everything was great
Location, view, rooms, restaurant, food- everything was exceptional!
Setting was spectacular. Recently refurbished to a very high standard. Staff were very kind and helpful.
Spa treatments were average for the price.
