10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were super friendly and helpful! Accommodations were super spacious, clean and comfortable! Beautiful view from our place and right along the boardwalk, which is perfect for evening strolls! Breakfast and evening soup/salad and happy hour were delicious! Loved our stay! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone!
Cons: Nothing
5.8 Okay
Pros: It was nice to have a balcony sitting space and to view the river. The pillow-top bed was comfortable with plenty of pillow options and an extra blanket. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: The room was narrow, dingy and well-worn, floor boards creaked under foot and drawers would not stay closed. Although it touts itself as being a non-smoking establishment, cigarette smoke wafted into my room from neighboring balconies and the smoking area directly below my 2nd floor room. Noisy revelers in the outdoor seating area until after 10:00 pm. Bathroom door would not stay open on its own and bathroom smelled dank. Cheap plastic bath-fitter bath/shower enclosure. People walking & biking on the river path could see right into my room and there was no privacy-sheer curtain, forcing me to keep the light-blocking curtain closed most of the time. Restaurant and breakfast dismal.
5.0 Okay
Cons: The pictures are not an accurate depiction of the suites. they are in desperate need of a refresh and there are no sliding doors that section off the "living area" of the suite from the bedroom as depicted. there are no exhaust fans in the bathroom! fine if you are not sharing a room and can keep the door open when you shower, but not so much otherwise. the pull out couch was super uncomfortable. it also sits right up against a very busy highway in front, and while the back does face the river, it is also up against the public path where we saw not 1, not 2, but 3 homeless people hanging out on the hotel grounds. also, the non smoking room very much have the smell of cigarette smoke, i'm sure from people smoking on the balcony of the room we were in and the rooms around us - there were 2 rooms next to ours that had cigarette butts out on their balcony & we had to close our sliders when the person in the room below us stepped out to smoke on his. very old and run down and just not a nice experience, definitely a lower tier budget hotel. i guess this is fine for an overnight if you are just passing through, but even then i wouldn't choose this place again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed our romantic stay! every thing was wonderful!
7.7 Good
Cons: The walls were thin. Our neighbors were pretty loud for most of the night, and made it difficult to sleep.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Proximity to the freeway, ease of access, expediency of registering, comfortable room, amenities and pricing.
Cons: Nothing!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: * Great location *very nice evening cocktail hour *very good breakfast in the am *overall a nice experience3 for the money
4.8 Okay
Pros: Staff was nice.
Cons: Our last night of a 7 day road trip from Oklahoma City, OK to Oak Harbor, WA with me, my husband, a 1 year old and a dog. Hotel was littered with teens, people above us blared music and sounded like they were wrestling all night. Had to make 2 complaint on them, woke my 1 year old up during the night, also had tobang on the ceiling to get them to stop. Then in the morning woke up took a shower, bathroom had no vent to turn on so the smoke alarm went off. When we packed up to leave we see that someone has cut 2 of our straps for our roof rack (brand new just bought for the move). Finally when we talked to the front desk one last time they can't comp anything since we bought through kayak/expedia. Now to top everything off this happened on veterans day. I am an active duty military member and we are moving from overseas Japan to Washington. What a way to feel welcomed back.

Pros: Bed height was good and there was room between wall and bed for wheelchair. Good grab bars by the toilet and inside shower.
Cons: Bathroom had narrow turning radius and I had to drive forward and then back out. If I turned, I had to make sure my knees were under sink. Pros: I love the friendly staff, quick check-in and check-out, simple breakfast, but mostly the room overlooking the Yakima River. After a long day of driving and hectic schedule of meetings, it's great to come back, throw open the shades, and see the river flowing right outside the window. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel with a lot of thoughtful touches. Friendly and helpful staff. Luxurious bedding, generous towels and the room was super clean.
Cons: We arrived late after the restaurant and even the bar closed. There was some snacks available and water bottles and other beverages however nothing on the healthy side except for the water and possibly the room coffee and tea maker with an assortment of both. Not that I expected to find too much at 10pm.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was comfortable and the staff were great. The Bistro was pretty good. The location right next to the convention center which was very convenient.

Pros: Clean, comfortable, quiet room. Nice shower. Very good breakfast selection. Everything we wanted in a stopover motel. We changed our reservation from two to one night because we were disappointed in the town itself.
Cons: It wasn't the most convenient location for going into town. We found driving in Yakima to be a little difficult. Obviously not the hotel's fault.

Cons: Hard bed. Double charged. Not enough coffee in room. Breakfast was minimal.

Cons: Fairly seedy area between hotel and nearest restaurants. Would have walked, but didn't dare!

Pros: Staff was friendly, prompt and very helpful.
Cons: Elevator was a little scary. Door started opening before elevator stoped.

2.9 Mediocre
Pros: Best western is off my list
7.5 Good
Pros: Location, condition of the property, staff
Cons: Breakfast - yes, there were some hot items available, but the quality was mediocre at best. Seems to be the standard for most hotels that offer breakfast - lousy quality of the food. I'd prefer limited breakfast items with better quality.

Cons: I think I would’ve had a better internet connection if I used dialup. Genuinely the worst WiFi I’ve ever used that was completely unusable.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was included and very good. Staffs hospitality was great
Cons: Entry way was not maintained due to rain n mud
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Quiet
Cons: Smell on room do to housekeeper putting bag in trash can that someone used as a spitune it was gross
5.4 Okay
Pros: Difficult getting INto initial room only to find it unclean , second room outlets were horrible , will never stay at property again
4.3 Okay
Pros: Relatively inexpensive.
Cons: Worn out, dated, mildewy kind of a smell in the room and halls, meal offerings unappetizing (though free - you get what you pay for).
5.0 Okay
Pros: I can see someone is trying to clean the place up.
Cons: Seedy part of town. wild cats running around the parking lot. Bus loads of Hispanic workers. They were noisy.
7.9 Good
Pros: Room was clean
Cons: The beds were awful, slept terrible. Please invest in new mattresses
3.7 Mediocre
Cons: Entire hotel was very dirty and poorly lit. The door to my room had been bashed in recently I take it since the trim was completely broken and lock had been screwed back together. Capet was stained and ruffled up as well as the subfloor being rotted away and creeking. Stains on the chair and bed as well. All furniture was scathed and scuffed, looked like it was bought at a yard sale.
4.8 Okay
Pros: Staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. There wasn't anything bad about this hotel for the most part.
Cons: The price was rediculous for what you got. The place was incredibly dated with peeling wallpaper and our toilet was not secured to the floor (scary). We could not get wifi service in our room and needed it to complete a bunch of work. Had to go to the lobby to find it. Looks like they are planning on a remodel which is sorely needed although we will most likely not stay here again.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The Breakfast was okay, coffee not that good. The Breakfast morning staff were nice and friendly. The Breakfast area was clean and comfortable. The Motel Manager was helpful and generous offering her office areas for use to get a better/faster internet connection.
Cons: The Internet was basically unusable due to service provider issues and hardware issues very weak signal in the room #179. Also no hot water in shower only warm water both evening and morning time. Right now is harvest time for Growers in the area and large contract crews were staying in the Motel. Very loud talking and even yelling early in the morning in the main hallway, traffic areas. Impossible to sleep past 5:30 due to all the noises coming from work crews before leaving for there job sight. Complained to Night Manager about all the noise, he said there was nothing he could do. :(

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. I really liked the bed linens, very soft and 5 star hotel quality.
Cons: The outside of the hotel didn't look as nice as the rooms were inside. Like there was scuff marks on the doors and so I was very pleasantly surprised when I got in the room and it was freshly painted, new carpet, new furniture.
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: I didn't eat breakfast.
Cons: If the staff knew how to program keys and clean the rooms and hallways.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was good and filling- a nice variety.. Our bed had a good quilt on it which kept us plenty warm.
Cons: My toilet was not completely clean with hair and feces on the toilet seat and back of the toilet seat. There was trash under the steps outside our room that could have easily been picked up by the cleaning staff. Also our room had only black out curtains. Due to the location of our room, we either had to close the curtains or have everyone see in our room as they came down the stairs. Shears would have been nice to give us some light and privacy. I saw a number of rooms with these shears. The rooms and the building needs a face lift. Things are kind of worn.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Staff was friendly.
Cons: Kind of a rougher clientele and location. Older hotel, needs improvements. Lots of noise in parking lot and other rooms.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Beds were not bad. In parking lot of Sherri's.
Cons: The pool was outdoors. Had no elevator.
7.5 Good
Pros: Very nice for the price
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast room really offered a nice spread with variety
Cons: No
7.1 Good
Pros: The front desk person was super wonderful. Happy they had a coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave.
Cons: For the cost could of had a bit better rooms. Building is old, heating and air conditioning units are placed on the upper wall (heat rises so it wouldn't stay on). Door does not shut well leaving large gaps around it. Fan in the bathroom does nothing for pulling the steam out of the shower and is super loud.
4.0 Okay
Pros: My husband likes the fact that you can walk out to the parking lot from the room to smoke. There isn't much I like at all except the price.
Cons: Tub has black around the drain and in a couple other places. Shower head was a real water saver and barely got you wet. Bathroom smelled of urine. The one chair was old and low to the ground so was not comfortable at all.
7.0 Good
Pros: The staff was wonderful. The breakfast was great too.
Cons: Some of the clientele was pretty rough. I wouldn't of felt safe without my husband.
6.3 Good
Pros: Staff and breakfast were great.
Cons: Paper thin walls. I had to turn tv up to not hear the phone conversation of a person in the room next to me.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good size refrigerator. Like the sink outside of the bathroom. The plug ins on the lamps are a great idea.
Cons: Could hear the person in the room next door snoring. Hard to keep the room warm, but considering it was an outside room and was very cold, we managed fine.

Cons: Not the best neighborhood.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were eager to accommodate and quick to respond. The swimming pool was clean and ready to go. The room was beautifully cared for and everything worked. Breakfast was hot and tasty; good variety.
6.0 Good
Pros: Front check in went smoothly, and server refilling breakfast was friendly and bustling to keep a lot of people fed. I was at the back of the property so it was quiet, considering there is construction on the street directly in front.
Cons: Homeless woman lingering at the side hotel door asking for money as I entered. After check in, I retrieved my bag and three homeless men walked directly behind my car, making cat calls. Very uncomfortable. It was fine once inside the property.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Spacious room, good work center, good wifi, well maintained
Cons: Nothing, for the money it is quite a comfortable accommodation.
7.9 Good
Pros: Compact clean King bed (very comfortable) with really nice linens and fluffy towels. Nice selection of pillows (5). There was a sofa chair + office chair and desk. Fridge with freezer section froze water and kept ice frozen. Breakfast was scrambled eggs, waffles, bacon/sausage, hash browns and the usual continental breakfast items. The shower was robust. I would stay again.

Cons: Sketchy neighborhood

Pros: Rooms are about what I expected
Cons: The bathroom floor seems sticky and my bare feet
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good
Cons: Very good
6.0 Good
Pros: Easy to get to
5.4 Okay
Pros: Room was clean & neat. Reservationist was very helpful and gave me a better price than thru Kayak.
Cons: Price I booked thru Kayak and couldn't cancel. Days Inn charges a $2 dollar fee for using their safe. And you have to ecknowledge that when you sign in. I told the guy at the front desk, I wasn't going to use it and to remove it off my bill. He said I could do that when I checked out. Although, since I booked and paid thru Kayak, Days Inn & I couldn't get my money back. Not Days Inn fault. Call the motels to verify their price before booking thru a broker.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: I didn't stay there. I took one look at the location and neighborhood and went somewhere else.
Cons: See above. Best advice - just don't if you value your vehicle and safety

Cons: Uncomfortable mattress
8.0 Excellent
Pros: View out the windows, pool, quietness
Cons: Everything plugged into one outlet strip. You had to turn off the tv coffee pot or you tripped the breaker when you started the microwave. Even with that if the refrigerator cycled on it tripped The sheets and bed liners do not fit the beds. Vary anoyin

Pros: Spacious room & comfy bed.
Cons: Buffet breakfast selection was disappointing compared to other chains' on this trip, shower was not suitable for a tallish adult.

Pros: location
Cons: older
9.0 Excellent
Pros: It was clean and had what we needed
Cons: The breakfast was not as good as expected.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: It had a roof?
Cons: Hotel online: We have a pool and jacuzzi and a restaurant and bar and breakfast and cable! Sign in to WIFI and relax! You’ll pay premium prices for these luxuries, but so worth it. This hotel is a vacation! Hotel IRL: Sorry the pool doesn't work. The jacuzzi is closed, restaurant too. Oh, the bar is closed for good. The Tv is blurry, maybe tap on it a few times. We have breakfast though! It's a bag of bagels and a toaster and some cold eggs. WIFI DOES NOT WORK. Enjoy! (Ps we overcharged you for a room that has a bedspread with holes and a sketchy patio that just opens to a dark parking lot where you might get murdered, there will be a couple of addicts fighting outside all night, k thanks bye!) Howard Johnson Hotel Yakima get
7.9 Good
Pros: Convenient to interstate and wine tasting. Also, comfortable for pets.
Cons: Breakfast was not the best. Tried using the toaster for two days but it was not working. Not a really big deal but I would think it would be replaced with as many people that were staying at the hotel
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Across the street from the conference I was attending.
Cons: Hotel is a very outdated. It was dusty in my room and halls. Coffee was horrible. Blow dryer didn’t work in my room. Comforter was scratchy. Room smelled bad as well as did the elevator.
7.0 Good
Pros: Really nice place. Very nice rooms, very clean, staff very pleasant.
Cons: Half the room had no lighting, felt really dark, kept trying to turn the lights on, then realized all available were on. Also the heater made several loud noises thru the night waking me up. Little things like extra box of tissues, or napkins by the coffee maker would help. Larger pillows please
8.8 Excellent
Cons: Breakfast was adequate. All dishes and cutlery was disposable.

5.0 Okay
Pros: Staff was friendly.
Cons: Hotel is older and room looked outdated. I was put in a room on the back side of the hotel and the appearance and surroundings looked kind of sketchy. I would definitely not consider this a three star hotel.
6.0 Good
Pros: The location was great and 12 noon checkout was a help.
Cons: It's an old hotel on the outside and not very updated on the inside. My ground floor room smelled musty and I chose not to ask for another room. I would have been disappointed if I had paid any more than I did. I got what I paid for.
7.0 Good
Cons: None of the ice machine worked, had to wait at the bar for 5 minutes to get ice. Checked someone in next to us at 10pm they woke us up and continued being loud until we used our ear plugs. I would not stay ther again!

Cons: Bugs in the room. Worn out facility. Door closest to our room did not work so had to go into a side door. Paid to eat breakfast at 8:45. Was cold and old. Burners had gone out and food was cold. It was also old and tough. Worst hotel breakfast.

2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Good location.
Cons: It wasn't until upon arrival that I learned the company changed ownership and the "complimentary breakfast" was no longer... As we were there for my son's basketball tourney I would have booked elsewhere and or planned breakfast items to bring.

Pros: The quietness it was amazing
Cons: Everything was good

Cons: There were not enough towels to keep us with clean towels they had to wash the ones from our room. There was a bag over our smoke detector. The blanket was dry scratchy. Pillows were flat. No bath tub. No microwave or fridge in the room. Mold in the orange juice at the free breakfast which consisted of cereal or toast. Watered down coffee not worth drinking.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Price to rent room
Cons: Can’t complain too much. You pay a mediocre price you get a mediocre room
7.1 Good
Pros: I loved the manager, and the conversation with him. The room and linens were very clean. Mount Rainier peeked over the western horizon from my 2nd floor entrance. The sunrise on the nearby northern hills was lovely.
Cons: The breakfast was food. It was very simple, and the coffee was thin. I made a couple pieces of toast, but bought breakfast at the nearby Jack-in-the-Box. The room had its idiosyncrasies. Shower's "hot" setting was a little to the right of midway; no shampoo. Bed was cleanly made but not neatly made, and pillows were substandard. Wi-Fi didn't ever connect properly for me, but I used my own connection so that was okay.

Pros: Clean and spacious room!
5.0 Okay
Pros: The staff was friendly.

7.9 Good
Pros: The manager was very kind. My stay there was very pleasant. Thanks for everything.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Easy to find..Friendly and chatty owner....no problem check-in. Appropriate place if very short on cash
Cons: Facilities were run down and in need of some TLC, renovation junk/furniture stored in carport next to room. Was promised a non-smoking room but received a very obvious ex-smoking room. Motel offered weekly and monthly rentals and it showed. Room and linens were clean but dated
4.2 Okay
Pros: The woman at the front desk was very pleasant and accommodating.
Cons: The place was old and run down. No ice, The desk lady offered to run to the store to get some when she had the chance. (We walked to the store ourselves to buy some) No toiletries...shampoo, rinse, etc. No hairdryer. When I asked for all these, the lady loaned me her private items from her home. She told us to park in the carport near our room. Each carport was half-filled with garbage and old fixtures (toilets, sinks, boards, etc) Our room smelled like garbage.
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: The owner was nice upon check in.
Cons: The hotel is located in a very scary part of town. There were more permanent residents there than over night guests or travellers and they seemed to get preferential treatment over guests. They was furniture and remnants of a remodel long done stacked all over what was supposed to be the courtyard.
1.0 Poor
Pros: The owner called me back to tell me i had no reserved room.
Cons: Your stupid website thinks the hotel has more rooms rham it actually does.

1.0 Poor
Pros: Nothing really.

Pros: It was extremelconvenient. It was clean. It is old (I stayed there 30 years ago, and it hasn't been fixed up since.) Bed was fine. Shower head fell off. I knew what I was getting, and I wasn't disappointed in any way, and I like the woman who manages it.
Cons: Some coffee and a coffee maker would be nice.
