Proximity to the village, the pool and free breakfast
Nothing. Continental breakfast was rubbish, coffee tasted like battery acid.
I booked a few hours prior to my arrival, around 4:30p.m. After I booked, I called the hotel to confirm the booking and to inform them that I was coming with 2 dogs. The hotel said that the booking did not show up on their system yet, but should be confirmed by the time I arrived. I was told I would receive doggy dishes upon arrival, so I did not bring my own. I checked in late around 10 pm. When I arrived, the hotel had no record of my booking, and as such, took extra time to check me in. The receptionist did not know I had two dogs, and charged me $25 per dog per night (which I knew ahead of time). She did not provide me with dog dishes (minor mistake, but still annoying). When I requested a later checkout time due to my late check-in time (and because they did not confirm my booking prior to arrival), the receptionist said it would be an extra $20 per hour past check out time. Then after checking in, the receptionist informed me that the hot tub was not working. The whole reason I booked at this hotel was to relax in the hot tub in a dog friendly place. The receptionist I dealt with was very rude, every time I asked a question, she looked at me as if I was stupid. For example, when I asked her if breakfast was included, she looked at me as if I was stupid, and said "it was written in my booking" (which they didn't even have confirmed). When I was checking out, I had my hands full with bags as well as both dogs. I returned my access card, and when I asked the receptionist how I could access the parkade after returning my access card, she again looked at me as if I was asking a stupid question, and instructed me to enter the parkade through the front gate (which was locked when I tried, because it only opens if you have an access card). So, I had to walk back into the hotel from the garage and go all the wag down the elevators to my car with my hands full.
The location a little bit far from the center of the village
