10.0 Excellent
Pros: we enjoyed every minute of our stay. bright and very clean rooms, great breakfast, close to the city centre! will definitely choose the place next time. thanks owners for the welcoming stay
7.1 Good
Pros: Very homey. A villa turned in to a guest house. Had my own balcony overlooking yard, though it was too cold to take care of. Staff very friendly. Told her I wanted to eat at 7 and breakfast was prompt.
Cons: There is one Steckdose for hairdryer/razor above the sink. I have a laptop, a cell phone, and above all a CPAP machine to plug-in. They really must change this. I couldn't even get to the plug to unplug the light. The room was cold, and the heating wasn't yet turned on for the winter. The place is far from the train station. Expect to pay 30 euro round-trip. The price-worthiness of the room is lost.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice place to stay in Weimar, the room was spacious with separate full toilet and shower. The hosts were very friendly.
Cons: The location was slightly remote, you need to walk some 10 minutes to the nearest bus station or walk through the graveyards in the adjacent park, which is not very nice during night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful heritage building, room #2 with balcony, comfortable bed and lovely friendly hosts. The residence is only a short walk to Weimar central. I can highly recommend this residence Grant - Australia
Familienhotel Weimar - Weimar - Building
2
9.1 Excellent (390 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Familienhotel Weimar in Weimar, you'll be just steps from Goethe House and Goethe National Museum. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice apartment and little restaurant.
Cons: We were locked outside, in the cold, because the door was locked and nobody explained how we can get in at night. There was a little sign in German by the door handle and we input that into Google Translate to finally get instructions on how to open the door. Also, because somebody from the staff didn't speak English, we thought we were invited to breakfast, while in fact we had to pay for it. A pretty good breakfast, by the way.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Noisy. My room was facing and near the back of a restaurant. Woke up at 6:00 am because of the noise. It was supposed to be an appartment but there was only one bed. The others had to sleep on the couch. Very small room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in the top floor #31 apartment with a balcony facing the courtyard and underneath the public terrace. There were two bedrooms, we slept in the double-bed and it was extremely quiet and restful. The space is tastefully decorated and has all the conveniences needed. The location is perfect, as it's just steps from the main market square, but situated in a quiet alley away from the main tourist throngs. The staff was very kind and helpful, and the parking also was very convenient. We will definitely stay here again and look forward to our next visit!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff (Ali was of great help with good tips), very good food, the chef is top! Rooftop terrace was a big extra. A home away from home.
Cons: Early morning bouncing kids in the apartment above us.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: location is perfect. staffs are very nice
8.8 Excellent
Pros: In the middle of the city. You can walk to theater square in a few minutes. Nice design.
Cons: Nothing, really.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location, very friendly and helpful! Well designed space with all we need with small children. Kids loved the hidden playspace in the Cafe. Parking is now just a few minutes away by foot for a good price per day!
Cons: A bit difficult to find when arriving by car. We weren't sure if we could enter the alley and unload there and had to ask first. Also there was a creaking noise in the walls which we reported and they were going to look into. We guessed if nobody told the staff they wouldn't know about this since you only hear it when you sleep in the room. So probably being fixed now.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: everything was perfect.
Cons: Only the pillows are too soft.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location, very central, next to Goethe's house/museum. In a tiny quiet street. Very friendly staff, children friendly interiors.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location next to Altstadt. Large room with a sitting area and kitchen plus a balcony. Very comfy bed.
Cons: Only issue was parking. We parked a block away and carried our luggage and it cost 25 Euros a day. Also no AC or fan so it was quite warm.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: All very calm & vomfortable
Cons: Outsidevlookef a bit scruffy
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Historic building and restaurant with character
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous location with the opportunity to park onsite (7.50€/night). Extremely nice lady at the front desk who also took care of the breakfast. The breakfast was very good and you could get as much coffee as you want. The room was very clean and comfortable/spacious. Lots of 'closet' space to put luggage and clothes.
Cons: The weather - rained a fair amount.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is located in the very center of the city, close to all sightseeing sites. The breakfast is very good and provides many different things. A car park is available at the back of the hotel.
Cons: No one was in the hotel for check-in. A code is provided to get the key (through e-mail and call on my mobile). It works well but is unpersonal. The staff for breakfast or for check out is just professional. The hotel is lacking a bit of 'humanity'.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Really great location in the centre! Our room (100) was spacious, clean, very comfortable and with a great view on Frauenplanplatz! Breakfast very nice on terrace and with very friendly staff.
Cons: Parking was promised on site, but was not available. This should have been communicated, after a long drive you don't like the parking troubles, especially when one chooses a hotel for their parking spots. Reception welcome was not sympathetic. Some people might have problems with street noise, we didn't mind. No elevator.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The fact that parking was provided at the premesis and the breakfast was exellent
7.5 Good
Pros: Clean and quiet room with good bathroom.
Cons: No lift / 2nd floor. The entrance is more like a corridor than what you’d expect from a 3 star hotel.
Pension La Casa dei Colori - Weimar - Building
4
8.9 Excellent (480 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Pension La Casa dei Colori in Weimar, you'll be within a 5-minute walk of Wittums-Palace and Weimar Haus - Neue Geschichtserlebnis GmbH. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good location, comfortable

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Park garage, good bathroom
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Incredibly friendly stuff, good taste in decorations, clean and very central location!!!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast room has a very nice atmosphere. The hotel is located right in the centre, a very convenient basecamp. There is a parking available onsite, albeit with a tricky lift system. The whole interior design is colourful, clean, and has a very good eye for detail.
Cons: There is no elevator. The head pilow is very soft and small. Reading in bed is therefore unpleasant, you cannot stuf it in your back.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room: beautiful, large, clean. Breakfast: richly varied. Staff: very friendly. Location: in the center of Old Weimar.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice place in the center of the town. Room is comfortable with good bedsand a good shower. Breakfast is great. No complaints at all for the room, place and comfort
Cons: There is nobody there at person. They help you on the telefoon to come in and get your room key, but it would be more nice if there was somebody in real life ...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about the hotel was nice. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were excellent and the breakfast was great!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location was great- close to everything yet still quiet. Our room was lovely and very clean, the beds were very comfortable and the bathroom/shower area was also roomy. Overall, very nice.
Cons: There were a few flights of stairs to manuever with our luggage so this is something to consider if you have large or heavy luggage. We arrived after the check in window of 12:00 - 2:00 and after pushing the doorbell we were buzzed in out of the snow, but could not hear what was spoken over the intercom due to street noise and ended up waiting in the narrow hallway with all of our luggage for 45 minutes or more before someone came by and inquired if we needed help. Apparently they told us what room we had and which floor it was on over the intercom when they buzzed us inside but we could not hear it due to street noise so we felt a bit stranded. Be aware if you are arriving after check in that there maybe no one there to check you in - it helps if you are fluent in German- we were not. Also would have loved a water kettle to make tea.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, very clean and comfortable
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location and decor
Cons: Problem with the electricity and not emptying waste basket in bathroom

Pros: The hotel is in an old building, and the decoration is old-style. It kind of makes you feel back in the XIX century. However, everything is new and clean. Friendly staff, excellent breakfast. Pros: The room was very spacious. It's very conveniently located by the old town. The breakfast buffet had a pretty good variety of choices.

Cons: There is no aircondition and on hot days the rooms are too warm. Rooms and breakfast area are quite small
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Specially at the reception and restaurant.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We used the hotel as a stopover for a long journey through Europe. We were concerned, initially about the location as the area is not particularly scenic, but on arrival, it felt like an oasis with a beautiful drive of sunflowers and a lovely ,peaceful garden overlooking vineyards. It was very hot during our stay and the outdoor restaurant was perfect. The sauna in our room was an added luxury!
Cons: The car park wraps around the hotel,so pretty much all the rooms looked out onto it.This was noisy with cars coming and going and people chatting and shouting. We also had a very noisy delivery around 7am right under our window. We had to have our windows open as it was a very hot night. For such a large hotel with large car park-the €4 car park charge just seemed unnecessarily greedy!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked the location, close to the city center but quiet. Also, the staff was very helpful & friendly.
Cons: It was the hottest day of the year & as is true with most smaller German hotels there was no air conditioning.
6.7 Good
Pros: very nice nature area, nice room, bit small, Great brkfst
Cons: charge Euro 4 for parking, when is totally out of city and plenty of parking space outdoor. That is just a money grab.
7.9 Good
Cons: The restaurant (also breakfast room) was to small. The jazz music was very very boring!! Supermarket music!
7.9 Good
Cons: the offer of food at the restaurant
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A very nice and quiet place. Wonderful fields and gardens around the hotel. Clean and comfortable room, helpful staff. Kettle and tea in the room, which is important. Good WiFi signal. Tasty breakfast with prosecco!
Cons: Quite far from Weimar city center, it took me about half an hour to walk from the railway station, so you'd better come with a car. Still, you can use a local bus - about 10-15 minutes to the center.
Fürstenhof am Bauhaus Weimar - Weimar - Building

With a stay at Fürstenhof am Bauhaus Weimar in Weimar, you'll be within a 5-minute walk of Parkhohle and Furstengruft. Featured amenities include express check-in, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and luggage storage. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
7.5 Good
Pros: The hotel was located right next to the historic cemetery. The city center was not too far away, definitely in walking distance. Staff was friendly. Breakfast included plenty of vegetarian options.
Cons: The room was quite small for the price. Breakfast could have included more vegan options, such as soy milk. Also the rolls seemed to be a little stale.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: great bed, super clean room and hotel, quiet, warm, cozy.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was good and various
Cons: The noise of the road beside keep us awake almost all the night. The worst thing an hotel can offer: rumor and noise during the night. I suggest to change the windows and their frames in order to improve the acoustic insulation
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Good clean rooms. Good breakfast an just 5 min walk from center village
Cons: Wifi not to good in my room. Downstairs it was ok.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice place. Little rooms but very clean. Nice view from my room (25). Good place to stay for a few days.
Cons: Parking on the street. But not expensive - 5 Eu/Day
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Good location, 5-10 min walk to city center, very close to Bauhaus University buildings. Good value for money.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was good. The room was clean and comfortable
Cons: Nothing that I can think of very pleasant yt
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is a quick walk to the center of the old town, and busses that go to the Hauptbahnhof and beyond stop nearby. We had an apartment, which was spacious (bedroom, kitchen, living room, bath) and quite inexpensive. Breakfasts are very good. The staff were unfailingly helpful and good-natured.
Cons: Apartments are on the 4th floor and there is no elevator. Someone will carry luggage up and down stairs for you, but the stairs are a trek. Older travelers might prefer a room on a lower floor. The wifi connection was unreliable, especially when we tried to run more than one device at a time.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The Alter Friedhof is next door. Property is close to a bus stop so getting around is easy. Property is very leanly staffed so if things are broken when you reach, they will take a while to get fixed.
Cons: Wifi was not working and the caretaker couldn't get it started back up. She shared the password for the network at the lobby but the reception was spotty
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and good breakfast with helpful staff.
Cons: Without an AC and lift. The night was very noisy since the hotel is next to the college dorms of the Weimar students. One of our rooms didn't have an entrance/corridor like room in front if the room, so you could here the noise from the hotel corridor.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Highly recommended and a charming host
Cons: The shower could have been I little better
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was very good; Personnel was very friendly and attentive; Room was quite large. The hotel, including the room and bathroom, is very clean. Good beds.
Cons: We were there on Monday and Tuesday, when the reception and restaurant were closed. If you are staying on the front side as we did you can hear the highway. Although it is not really loud it is different from the silence you would expect when staying in the countryside.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Everything is perfect, the dinner, the breakfast, the Host, the room. Best thing in Weimar.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I stayed in a lovely single room. All facilities were well equipped and very comfortable. Especially I loved the owners. They both took a very good care of their guests! Breakfast was very satisfying with great kinds of fresh food. Their home-made jam is super great :) Very nice hotel to stay for your trip!
Cons: I stayed there for my trip to Weimar by myself without a car. The location is not very recommendable if you are traveling by public transportation especially during the weekend. There is a bus connecting Weimar downtown and the small village the hotel is located not very often. But if you are traveling by car, the location would not be any problem! There is also a supermarket at 2 km.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: clean
Cons: No ability to speak English
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable quiet hotel, the host was very friendly and really tried to communicate with us which was appreciated ( unfortunately we don’t speak German). Good breakfast.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was very average. Nothing cooked, apart from a boiled egg. Location was a small village about 6 km outside of Weimar but very good for the motorway. There was nothing else in the area for evenings, so one is forced to go into Weimar.
Cons: It is a pure B and B guest house. Their website proclaimed restaurant and bar, which was why we chose it - not wanting to go out again after the long drive over. However, neither was available. They had both been closed some time due to lack of business and were not being opened again. Parking spaces are also very limited in this very small village.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very good breakfast. Comfortable beds.
Cons: Bathroom equipment needs some upgrading.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very conveniently situated within a short walking distance of most of the main historic locations and attractions in the town. The room was comfortable and very quiet and there was a pleasant and peaceful ambience in the hotel. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The breakfast buffet was very good and the dining facility was comfortable. The breakfast buffet is available until 11am which is handy for those liking a later start. There are several good dining and drinking locations near to the hotel including a pizzeria situated directly opposite the hotel entrance from Schiller Strasse. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to have a quiet stay in Weimar and at the same time be near to the many attractions. The newly opened Bauhaus museum, the Stadt Museum and the Neue Museum are easily reached within ten or fifteen minutes walk from the hotel as is the beautiful Park an der Ilm. I will definitely stay again on future trips to Weimar.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The whole staff is really professional, friendly, and customer oriented. Great location between downtown and the beautiful Goethepark. Excellent restaurant. Clean room. We definitely will come back and we are convinced that the Dorint would have been Goethe's choice as well.
Cons: Well, we didn't like not having been able to stay a little bit longer.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Room with 2 beds were too small (short for a guy 6’2”!!
7.1 Good
Pros: It was close to Weimar’s old town and close to a bakery we loved called Brotklappe (it’s not a chain bakery like you see commonly in Germany). The room was spacious, had an armchair if you didn’t want to sit on the bed when not sleeping, and the bathroom was roomy too.
Cons: It was a business-like hotel, so it was rather bland. This was the most expensive hotel we’ve stayed in throughout our travels in Germany but perhaps not the best value for money. However did provide what it said it would provide. Parking was expensive but it’s the same throughout Weimar anyway.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location and a very comfortable room with AC, good bedding, view onto the park.
Cons: Slight traffic noise that the AC covered anyway.
9.6 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything functioned in a perfect way. Our room was very nice and the beds< very comfortable. Bathroom was spacy , breakfast was excellent and the breakfast rooms were just beautiful. We will definitely be back. Our trip was half business and half leisure. It was easy to reach all things there are to see direct from the hotel.
Cons: The heating did not function as well as all other things but it was OK.
7.9 Good
Pros: Lovely and comfortable room in a great location, but the staff was indifferent. When we left for brunch, I requested and was assured our bags would be brought down by noon for our 12:15 shuttle to the train station. When they still weren't down by 12:15, my elderly husband and I had to quickly slog our bags from the room to the shuttle and were almost late for our train. Also, their 20 Euro charge, each way, for the short 1.5 kilometer, 3 minute ride to the airport is beyond excessive, especially since a normal taxi would cost only 7 to 8 Euro!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very professional and helpfull staff, the exclusive rooms are really nice for a business trip.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast buffet. Very convenient location. Delightful staff.
Cons: The bed was not very comfortable.

Pros: Comfortable hotel at perfect central location.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice historic room with comfortable bed. Big enough room and bathroom.
Cons: The only flaws were a bit waiting for coffee at the brekfast and 15 min checkout line, which looked not to be the usual case though.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Big rooms compared to Germany standards. Close to the city center. A very comfortable stay.
Cons: Breakfast is quite expensive. but then there are good bakeries around.
6.7 Good
Pros: Location Nice breakfast
Cons: We are soft and comfortable and needed to have boards brought in. The towels were thin. The bathroom was inconveniently small. Lacked bottled water customarily given to guests in other hotels.

Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
6.8 Good
Pros: The rooms are clean and comfortable. The location is excellent... right across from the railway station and a short walk to the center of town.
Cons: Mostly it was the attitude of the front desk staff. Not only not helpful but borderline antagonistic. The wifi did not work in our room. We reported it immediately. "What do you want me to do... the wifi is working for everyone else". Same story next morning, so on the third night requested a change of rooms, on a different floor, which solved the issue immediately. We arrived at 9pm after a long journey. The restaurant is open until 10 we were told... when we came down for dinner :sorry the cook went home early... no food available. We talked to someone who had stayed at the hotel in the past and they mentioned that this is a frequent situation at the hotel. The bar is a smoking bar, so no chance to enjoy a nightcap.... Thus not even close to the excellent rating we expected....
5.0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was fine, though it could have benefited from having some change day to day.
Cons: I had an expensive (several hundred dollars) pair of gold earrings stolen from my room. Staff made minimal effort to resolve the situation and they were not recovered. No safes are available in the rooms.
7.5 Good
Pros: Loved the traditional style, the location near the station, drinks on the terrace.
Cons: We were there in very hot weather and, without air conditioning, the room was rather too warm.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A very nice hotel that met my expectations
10.0 Excellent

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Historic hotel located within 15 mins walk from old town. Excellent breakfast buffet and very nice and helpfull staff.
Cons: Many hair on bathroom floor - cleaning not so efficient
4.6 Okay
Pros: Clean room
Cons: Booked since September 2018 for August 2019 A different type of room was given (two separated individual beds) from the one we reserved (one full bed) Room as reserved requested at the front desk.. Receptionist had a total lack of customer service skills.. Arrogant and Indifferent At some point she rised the tone and volume of her voice at me until I took her name from the tag and advice her to write a complain about her..! Very dissapointing ..! Not recommended .!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location, the breakfast, the cleanliness and the service. We asked if there was fan or AC in the room as it was a very hot day. The hotel replied though they don't have above things, but they put us on the north side of the building which is cooler. The breakfast is fantastic, at least 8 tea choices...value for the money! free for parking.
Cons: better have some cooling facilities in case of hot days in summer.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location. It just took about 8~10min walk to enter the Gothe Platz and then you could visit those spots.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location near the Main station and a short walk to the historic centre. Breakfast great. In Weimar itself there are many places to visit of historic interest and most within easy walking distance. The Weimar card, valid for 48 hours, is good value for money. So, too, is the hotel.
Cons: I would have liked a kettle with coffee making facilities in my room.
7.1 Good
Pros: The hotel is really close to the train station.
Cons: Is a bit far away from the center, and is a bit too expensive for what it actually offers
6.3 Good
Pros: Staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms kept very clean and sheets changed regularly. Very close to the station.

7.0 Good
Pros: Proximity to station, large room
7.7 Good
Pros: All was fine. The breakfast was fabulous!
Cons: My room faced the side street with Subway shop and the Hotel's verandah on it. In the evening and at night people sitting there produced a lot of noise, so I had to keep my window shut.

Leonardo Hotel Weimar - Weimar - Building
4
7.9 Good (5,340 reviews)
Overview Reviews
A stay at Leonardo Hotel Weimar places you in the heart of Weimar, within a 15-minute walk of Römisches Haus and Parkhohle. Featured amenities include a business center, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
4.2 Okay
Cons: A hotel without a fridge in the room and inadequate airconditioning does not deserve 4 Stars.
6.3 Good
Pros: A good hotel in a nice section of Weimar, but nothing especially memorable. However, in fairness we had just arrived from an all night flight from the U.S and so being tired may bias my opinion .
Cons: The room comfort was very disappointing and especially the A/C. The room was about 85 all night, and the repsonse from reception was that "you Americans had different expectations for air conditioning than we Germans." We were't looking for freezing cold, just cool off the room so we can sleep
5.8 Okay
Pros: Employees were friendly Good location
Cons: In desperate need of renovation. The molding was hanging off the ceiling, bathroom has seen better days, not enough light in the room
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Pool area was lovely. Clean, comfortable rooms and it was nice to have a kettle. An impressive looking hotel. 20 minutes walk into Weimar.
Cons: Reception staff were polite, but not very welcoming. Bar staff similar.
7.5 Good
Pros: The location, as well as the pool, was great!
Cons: I purchased a room with air-conditioning (funtional implied). What I got was a room with a non-functioning air-conditining unit (unless, of course, the unit is supposed to blow hot air when placed on each of the two settings)......and this on the top (6th) floor in August (remember, heat rises; especially in the summer months). When this was disclosed to the front desk staff, the answer of course was, "sorry, I'll tell the maintenance man.". This I offer as perhaps a more suitable answer (let's call it a Customer-centric Response)...."I am sorry sir, I will be sure to inform the maintenance staff immediately. For this unforseen inconvienence, may I offer you a 30% discount on your next stay at one of our properties?".
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice spirits and Leonardo Dvinci image ,stilishe by cultural lovely please for family and friends
Cons: Swimming pools,and venter machine
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, nice room.
Cons: Location is a bit outside the city centre.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location, very friendly and helpful staff, good facilities. Excellent restaurant for dinner too!
Cons: I found the breakfast rather limited in its options, considering the overall price and that the breakfast had an extra charge.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Everything fine! Nice breakfast. Everything you need. Nicely located next to the parc
Cons: High parking fee (10 € per day)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I enjoyed the variety of goods provided and the immediate refill whenever they were on the low amount.
