It is all in the attitude...
The rooms are clean and comfortable. The location is excellent... right across from the railway station and a short walk to the center of town.
Mostly it was the attitude of the front desk staff. Not only not helpful but borderline antagonistic. The wifi did not work in our room. We reported it immediately. "What do you want me to do... the wifi is working for everyone else". Same story next morning, so on the third night requested a change of rooms, on a different floor, which solved the issue immediately. We arrived at 9pm after a long journey. The restaurant is open until 10 we were told... when we came down for dinner :sorry the cook went home early... no food available. We talked to someone who had stayed at the hotel in the past and they mentioned that this is a frequent situation at the hotel. The bar is a smoking bar, so no chance to enjoy a nightcap.... Thus not even close to the excellent rating we expected....
Staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms kept very clean and sheets changed regularly. Very close to the station.
Hotel food was expensive and poor quality compared to local restaurants.
Close but not too close to main rail station. City center a fifteen-minute stroll away; five minutes by city bus.
Proximity to station, large room
All was fine. The breakfast was fabulous!
My room faced the side street with Subway shop and the Hotel's verandah on it. In the evening and at night people sitting there produced a lot of noise, so I had to keep my window shut.
A beautiful hotel. Handy to transport and historical sights. Great restaurant. Highly recommend it
Everything you want to see is nearby
