Pros: We loved our room, with balcony onto the street below and a wonderful view of the rooftops. It is quite noisy, but that is the price you pay for the central location. The room was absolutely beautiful and my daughter loved the whirlpool bath. The shutters did a great job of cutting out the light which meant we were not awakened by the early sunrise. The decor was very nice indeed and there was useful information in a book in the room. We were happy to have a safe to lock away our valuables, we managed to get wifi in our room, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, including the chance to experience the Juliet courtyard in the peace of the evening.

Pros: Awesome staff. Crowd seeing the Giulietta statue might be considered a pain but let’s face it, that’s what you’re buying. After 7:30pm the gates are closed and she’s all yours. Plus, it’s very convenient for the opera in the Arena. It’s an event to hang your holiday on. My compliments for staff!

Cons: It was a shame not to have a kettle or way of making a hot drink. The sofas were not comfortable although they were very beautiful. The sloping ceiling of the mezzanine bedroom is very low and beware if you get out of bed in the night - the switch was right over the other side of the room!

Cons: The hotel does not have any facilities, not even a checking in desk. Breakfast must be ordered each evening and brought to your room at a specified time in the morning, therefore the choice is limited especially if you’re vegetarian/vegan. Next to Juliette balcony so the noise is horrendous. Thousands of people gathering outside the hotel from 8:30am to 7 pm each day so it is very noisy. Leaving the hotel can be stressful as you have to battle through a large crowd to get onto the street. Felt like I was at a concert near the front of the stage each time I wanted to leave or return whilst the tourist attraction was open. Not the sort of place I would expect for over €1000 per night.

Cons: We were 3 couples and we all had rooms that faced the street. We were there in May and they can't turn on the air conditioning until the weather is much warmer. However, in order to sleep well, you need to sleep with the windows or balcony doors (some rooms have them) open. The street is extremely noisy all night long.

They also offered for me to enjoy breakfast and a cafe even though I had not stayed there the night before. Lovely place and great location. It's on a main street, but the room was quiet.
As a female solo traveler, I felt safe and content. Plus Verona is a beautiful city to explore. I also took a train for the day to Lago de Gardo 20 minutes away. Beautiful as well.

Cons: Like all hotels they have a policy of not changing the towels everyday provided you hang them up and don't leave on the bathroom floor, and like all hotels I have ever stayed in the staff totally ignore the policy and changed towels at least once daily!!!

Cons: Very little - this was our second stay and we previously had a superior room which was lovely - in contrast our double this time round could have done with a refresh. However nothing can take away from the other charms of this hotel and we’ll be back to stay here when attending the opera next year!

The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly making recommendations for places to visit and restaurants and ensured we did not want for anything. The rooms have tea and coffee making facilities, comfortable beds and reasonable size bathrooms. We had a room facing the road and did not hear any noise. The rooms are air conditioned which in August was very important.

Pros: It is a nice small hotel in just right place in Verona. It is easy to drive to the hotel from Motorway, and on the other hand you can reach Arena on foot in less than 5 mins. We stayed on the second floor in a very nice comfortable room with a small balcony overlooking the main road. The shower was also great. The breakfast was good with lots to choose. The hotel is really super pet friendly which is a great bonus for us who travel with our pets.

Here some detailed evaluations: Hotel Firenze by Best Western was the 4th best; - Criticism: Room was nice and ok. Service in general was nice. Breakfast was worse. Breakfast Room in a cellar, with limited space. Crowded and a lot of people. Stuff was busy with cleaning all the Tables and therefore can do only a swiftly cleaning. Cost/performance ratio too expensive AC Pisa by Marriot was the 3rd best: - Criticism: Room was nice and ok. Service in general was nice. But there was a difference compared to the other AC in Firenze. No coffeemaker in the Room and the location of the Hotel was a little too far away. The only thing here, the Service Member checked us in early with a double Room but only equipped as a single Room, hence some towels were missing (Only 1 pair); Service member said she will make sure to get a 2nd pair. This was not happening, unfortunately. That’s the only criticism. Breakfast was perfect, nice Room, a lot of selections, quiet and good service stuff. Cons: It is kind of noisy: you can hear everything people say in the other rooms, the train (but it is not so annoying) and the locks and doors opening and closing.
But the worst thing is the breakfast: we were told it was available from 8:30 to 10:30 (which we found a bit late, since most places to visit open at 8:30), but when we got there, no one was there and nothing was ready. We waited for 30 minutes before helping ourselves with what we could find... So really poor service (well, no service at all). We left a note to explain what happened but they didn't even apologize or acknowledge it... The second day, food was on display, but what food! Disgusting coffee from a machine, not enough hot water, no cold drinks, industrial pastries (still in their plastic packaging!)... So we didn't really appreciate the breakfast... To say the least (when there was any breakfast, that is... Not so much of a B&B).

Room was huge with a big comfy bed and good facilities including Sky tv with some English channels. There was no iron in the room but one phonecall and one was brought to us quickly. We had lunch in the lobby bar and it was very nice and reasonably priced. Parking was readily available on site. Would definitely recommend the hotel providing you don't mind a 10-15 walk to get into town.

Pros: This was a fantastic start to a 2 week holiday in Italy. We stayed for 2 nights. The room was spacious and clean, air conditioned 24/7, had shutters and double glazing which kept light and noise out when sleeping, the bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable (I slept for 9 hours straight both nights which is highly unusual for me!). We spoke with 5-6 staff members during our stay who were all professional while also being genuinely friendly, and incredibly helpful. The hotel has two breakfast rooms adjoining each other by a small set of stairs; the lower one was less busy with guests, the upper one is where the food is served by a very efficient team of kitchen staff who kept everything topped up with freshly made food. Both dining areas have a coffee machine. The hotel is in a fantastic location for getting straight into the old town, the parking is just a short walk away and very secure (just email the hotel in advance of your stay to reserve a space; it was £18 per day which was the same as public car parks we looked at). Based on our experience of this hotel we would definitely stay again.

Pros: Everything was very nice, I daren't say anything else after reading the owner Gisella's harsh criticisms of any reviewer who dares to complain about ANYTHING in the hotel or give less than a top rating. I thought maybe all the staff would be like her so I really did hesitate about booking, but I was quite surprised how nice they were. I can't have met Gisella....
Cons: A shower curtain does NOT work with a walk-in shower. It flaps about and sticks to you. (I've noticed that this is the only criticism to which Gisella seems to have no answer.)

Cons: The breakfast was almost non-existent. Such poor variety, but hey, then they can write that "breakfast is included", so it counts, right? No. The staff at breakfast seemed rude and not service-minded at all. It seemed like they were just annoyed to be there at all. The room was alright, but it was very small, and features were very limited.

Cons: Way of dealing with clients. We received the rooms 101 and 102. First room was equipted for persons with disabilities and the furniture looking and being very old. Asking at least the first room to be changed, we received a clear no since they consider the room a standard one. After half an hour of discussions, even not being possible to leave without paying the money for the first night, we escalated the issue and received other two rooms. The rooms were totaly diferent and the furniture . Access from the parking space to the first floor difficult, either from second floor or using two elevators. Breakfast was a poor one. So, I will not recommand it.

Cons: Location - if you don't arrive by car, you can do much better, The overall feeling was that the hotel was too stuck up. You are welcomed in a room with a huge non-smoking sign (that's standard) and no vaping with a smoke alarm over your bed. Like that really makes a difference. Next thing you see is a book of what you can't do with ridiculous rules such as no using your own hair dryer or no eating and drinking in the room. I wanted to run away as soon as I saw this. We paid for a "premium" room which was small, with a view of the street, no balcony. Using the spa is very expensive and you also need to pay for small stuff such as a pool towel (because the rule book says you can't use the ones from your room). All these things made the stay quite unpleasant.

Cons: The website photos are deceiving and create an air of class and comfort when really it’s just a shabby old hotel. We booked after reading over what the place offered (also quite a deceptive description) only to discover that everything was at an extra cost, even to the point where you had to hire a towel for a swim in the pool... Unfortunately this was and has remained the only disappointing stay we’ve had in Europe. Verona is however stunning!
