Pros: Everyone was kind and helpful. I arrived early and they kept my luggage so that I could explore the city while my room was getting ready. They also offered for me to enjoy breakfast and a cafe even though I had not stayed there the night before. Lovely place and great location. It's on a main street, but the room was quiet.
As a female solo traveler, I felt safe and content. Plus Verona is a beautiful city to explore. I also took a train for the day to Lago de Gardo 20 minutes away. Beautiful as well.

Pros: Verona is a fun place to walk around from this centrally located hotel. We had the large corner suite on floor 1 above the very cool bookshop. The decor could possibly do with a refresh. Initially our room was very hot and the heater controls seemed to be broken but we were able to open the large windows and soak in some of the surrounding bustle. The staff are efficient but not very warm. Free internet access is good, the breakfast is average.

Pros: We loved our room, with balcony onto the street below and a wonderful view of the rooftops. It is quite noisy, but that is the price you pay for the central location. The room was absolutely beautiful and my daughter loved the whirlpool bath. The shutters did a great job of cutting out the light which meant we were not awakened by the early sunrise. The decor was very nice indeed and there was useful information in a book in the room. We were happy to have a safe to lock away our valuables, we managed to get wifi in our room, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, including the chance to experience the Juliet courtyard in the peace of the evening.

If you arrive in the daytime, you will need to fight through the crowd taking pictures of the famous balcony. Once inside, it is a haven of peace and calm. Beautifully appointed and with a wonderfully attentive staff. It's expensive but a great treat in the very heart of Verona.

Cons: It was a shame not to have a kettle or way of making a hot drink. The sofas were not comfortable although they were very beautiful. The sloping ceiling of the mezzanine bedroom is very low and beware if you get out of bed in the night - the switch was right over the other side of the room!

The main reason for choosing this hotel for their stay was it's location. It is very comfortable because of the train station not far from the hotel. Cons: The location is good in that it is close to the station, but it is also in a dull part of town and a bit remote from the main features of Verona. If you are on business then it may suit, but as tourists from Australia we would choose something closer to the river or main centre, although further from the station.

Cons: My and friends' passports were not given us back on check out. We had lots of problems and additional money and time spent because of that. Your hotel's staff took our passports for data downwrite and forgot to return them even in 2 days of our stay. Of course, sometimes mistakes happens, but they didn't even try to solve this problem. When we found out that we had no passports and called to Martini hotel from Garda (it was only 40 km from Verona), they said that we didn't return the key back, what was absolutly not true. It was their fault that our passports were left in a hotel and I think that good staff had to bring us passports to other hotel we stayed fot next night. We will never return back to this hotel.

The place feels really safe and they even gave us really great addresses of restaurants (and a map of the city, things to see...)!
Cons: It is kind of noisy: you can hear everything people say in the other rooms, the train (but it is not so annoying) and the locks and doors opening and closing.
But the worst thing is the breakfast: we were told it was available from 8:30 to 10:30 (which we found a bit late, since most places to visit open at 8:30), but when we got there, no one was there and nothing was ready. We waited for 30 minutes before helping ourselves with what we could find... So really poor service (well, no service at all). We left a note to explain what happened but they didn't even apologize or acknowledge it... The second day, food was on display, but what food! Disgusting coffee from a machine, not enough hot water, no cold drinks, industrial pastries (still in their plastic packaging!)... So we didn't really appreciate the breakfast... To say the least (when there was any breakfast, that is... Not so much of a B&B).

Cons: The location was OK but not as good as expected based on description and maps. Since I was coming in by train one day with bags and out the next with the same bags, I wanted to be close to station and it ended up being about 15 minute walk and was a little confusing how to get there. Even armed with map, I had to ask a few times how to get there. In fairness, there really isn't anything closer to station in Verona. It's not like Rome or Florence with hotels surrounding station. It was about same 15 minute walk to the Arena which starts the old town.

Pros: Location - Away from the busy tourist areas and very quiet. About 10 minute walk to either the arena or train station. We got lost trying to find the hotel from the station but once we had better directions it was an easy walk.Outdoor court yard for breakfast was very pleasant. Room was spartan but serviceable - A/C worked well and was very much appreciated as the temperatures were 33 + during our stay. staff at reception were very helpful.

Pros: The hotel was clean, room and bathroom in good shape (I guess that what counts) and breakfast was decent. The location is 10-15 minutes away from the city center and 7-minute walk to the train station.
Cons: We arrived after 9 pm, staff during the night does not speak a word of English and those during the day struggle with the language. a couple of times we asked for hot water in the evening: one time staff member did not understand what we asked, the second time we were rejected. Loud noise from next door construction adjacent to the hotel property (Sep 2010). While not a hotel's fault, be prepared to be woken up at 7 am with loud construction noises. We visited 5 cities in Italy on a budget, this was our least favorably experience in a hotel. We are not demanding clients, nor picky, we went to Italy to explore the country, not stay in the room or eat breakfast. Maybe it was the circumstances, or maybe we got lucky that way...

Pros: Tricky to find we tried to walk from railway - not the best idea! once there we used a local bus to get into centre, these were great on time, quick and easy to use. The hotel was very clean and its decor was lovely. There was ample choice for breakfast. A very nice hotel which I would definitely visit again - it also had a free drop off and pick service for clients visiting the opera!

Cons: I think it is overpriced. It was also inconveniently located. We had to take cabs instead of being able to walk into town. I would stay there again, but only if we could get a much reduced room rate.
