It was located within reasonable walk to crusie port mostly downhill and walk from train station was a little farther location was good. It also was in town near services. The check in was good. Considering high prices of other places in Vancover it probably was not that overpriced for the one night.
Need big time upgrading. Wall behind bed had hole in it. Floors looked like same ones as installed when built in about 1897. Mens toilet was extra stair walk up from room with no handrail. No fan in room. Window was open with no screen. Only metal stools in room. Our room in Yokhama Japan on 17 floor with beautiul bay view and fabulous breakfast was only about 6 US dollars more.
The Stuff was super nice, and the wifi was super fast! It was reasonable for a few nights
the toiletseats were moving a little bit. The stairs were narrow but that was nobodies fault and the bed was a little fragile!
Bathroom and cleaning
The staff was nice and helpful
We discovered a bed bug in our first room and went straight to the front desk. They located us to an emergency room for that night that smelled like the inside of a deep fryer. We got switched to another room and floor the next morning, which was ok. The washrooms are quite outdated and weren't very clean expect for right after they got cleaned for like 5 minutes.
The location (downtown, near the waterfront) and price are the features that make this a good place to stay on a budget.
This is a barebones facility that provides nothing more than a bed in an empty room. Not table, no chair. A clean place to get horizontal at night, but nothing more. The building is old and needs some serious sprucing up.
