The location was perfect.
The beds were extremely uncomfortable, the hotel is way too out dated, the staff was not very friendly (they told us we couldn’t have water bottles in our room and were not very accommodating), the drains in the shower and sink did not drain, the AC didn’t work, overall not a good experience.
A lot of character. Cup Cafe is excellent. Close to the Convention Center which was part of why we were staying downtown.
We knew about the noise factor and asked for a Garden Room. It helped with the noise but there's loud partying in the late hours to maybe 1-2a.m. Since it is an older building, the outlets did not have a ground in the outlets and so we couldn't use our computer. There is a TV room for those who need to watch some shows.
Loved the history, the lively scene in the lobby, and the location.
Super loud, but we knew that going in, but still loud. Wouldn't matter if you were planning to make it a late night and be back in bed by 2 am.
I will say that it was noisy due to the restaurant and club downstairs, but they tell you when you are booking. I didn't have a problem at all. It is downtown in the heart of everything. It was vibrant, fun and full of life. I loved it.
The location was perfect for us to walk around, get drinks, and have dinner!
The shower was a bit small, but it’s a historic building so I wasn’t surprised! I got just fine, and the bathroom itself was very cute and clean!
