Top tips for hiring a car at Trang airport

  • Convenience and flexibility are some of the key benefits of getting a car rental at Trang Airport (TST). Renting a car from one of the Trang Airport car rental companies will allow you to travel to your destinations on your own departure timings and routes, in contrast to common public transportation choices like buses and trains that follow predetermined timetables and routes. Koh Ngai, Hat Chao Mai National Park, and Khao Kop Cave are a few places you might want to explore with your rental car.
  • Please be aware of the minimum age restrictions if you intend to get a car rental at Trang Airport (TST). The majority of Trang Airport car rental companies have established 21 as their minimum age requirement for their car rentals. However, you should be aware that several rental companies, including Drive, Avis, and Dollar, have implemented a young driver's premium for young drivers between the ages of 21 and 24. In addition, they could restrict the types and brands of vehicles that young drivers can hire.
  • Plan your visit to the car rental counters at Trang Airport (TST) on a typical weekday to realize a smoother rental experience with more alternatives to pick from. There are sometimes lengthy lines at car rental booths on weekends and during important holidays like Songkran (Thai New Year), which may result in annoying waits. You should also note that the on-site Trang Airport car rental companies may also hike their rates due to increased demand.
  • Take advantage of the after-hours return policy that most car rental companies, including Budget, Avis, and Dollar, have adopted if you need to return your rented car from a Trang Airport car rental urgently, perhaps due to an emergency that compels you to cut short your vacation in Trang. The policy permits you to return your rented vehicle outside the car rental company's usual business hours at Trang Airport. However, you should remove all your possessions from the vehicle, note the fuel and mileage levels, place a copy of your rental agreement on the driver's seat, lock the vehicle, and deposit your car keys in the authorized after-hours key drop box.

FAQs about renting a car at Trang airport

  • Where are the car rental companies situated at Trang Airport (TST)?

Please take note that the car rental companies are conveniently situated inside the terminal building if you intend to get a car rental at Trang Airport (TST). The car rental counters are right in front of you as you leave the arrivals area. Major car rental firms with offices in this region include Drive, Avis, Budget, and Dollar. You may easily find the vehicle rental counters, which are close to the baggage claim area, by following the signage or asking airport workers for help.

  • Which rental car companies are easiest to rent from at Trang Airport (TST)?

Although most car rental companies at Trang Airport provide convenient rental services, Dollar and Avis are well regarded. In addition to their after-hours return policies and the accessibility of almost all kinds or brands of vehicles, these car rental companies offer courtesy shuttles that provide complimentary transportation services between the airport terminals and their rental facilities. They may also allow you to return your vehicle to any of their rental sites onsite or near Trang Airport.

  • What type of documentation is required to rent a car at Trang Airport (TST)?

You will require the following documents in order to get a car rental at Trang Airport (TST): a valid driver's license with no significant endorsements in the last 12 months or an International Drivers' Permit (IDP); a credit card issued in your name with a sufficient limit to cover your car rental charges; a debit card linked to your MasterCard or Visa; and, if necessary, a confirmation voucher.

  • Which car rental companies will pick you up at Trang airport?

Car rental companies that offer shuttle or pick-up services from Trang airport to off-airport locations include Avis, Budget, and Thai Rent.
