the whole concerige dept & the front desk team on 22nd nov morning was terrible. PLease have the duty manager write back to me. my page cant even fit the whole scenerio within a 35 mins time span on a rushing check out with all the mistakes your front desk & conceierge made. so pls revert me privately. 1st was the front desk at check out. insisted my stay was till 23rd which i have given my rm number at chek out counter 5x, & he reapeted my name wrongly 5x when i said NO, & give room # 5x, he insisted my name was liu and i said no,i m in a rush for 1035 am bus (@1020 am then) He insited I made a mistake that my stay was till 23rd for 3 nts; i said NO 19, 20 21, chk out 22nd, i said I ALREADY DOUBLED Checked MY RECIEPT here 12 hours ago LAST NIGHT 1030PM, Got MY COMPLETE RECEIPT, JUST TOLD THE OTHER FRONT DESK to use ANOTHER CREDIT CARD today AT 1020AM. HE STILL INSITED MY PAY WAS TILL 23RD &shouldnt check out as PAID & show me chk in SIGNED SLIP . I SAID THIS IS NOT ME. not my writng & not my name , i repeated my room number for 6x, he still said thats me. ridiculous! until i showed room card,then he said OH i am sorry. well you should be. for 10 whole mins arguing on such. not to mention the 21st night concerige lady was also rude the night before when after i checked my receipt, she in an interogating manner:"which dept u gave your ice packs to?" come on how do i know about the logistics/how am i supposed to know which dept kept it."as if its my fault? why is your concerige putting blames and fault bearing for guests when it was their job to locate things and get things organised . read below the experience of your whole concerige dept. i can mail you back what the concerige did not take from my son and stressed me out on my check out day from 1015on a rush of 35 mins spending in your hotel lobby when these are all very simple logic stuffs i leave all tokyo hotels. never had this trouble.
then at the concerige desk more ridciulous chase me for a bus tic at a rushing time for stg i dont know. i immediately texted my husband he said he gave, then held me for hostage for 15 mins at the counter. making the whole bus wait for me. come on if there was a problem why didnt they approach me the whole day on 21st after they left. why at 1030am after your front desk mess & a hurry of hoping onto the limosine bus for a problem the concerige made. (I FOUND OUT WHEN I GOT HOME last nt: SON took 615AM BUS. HUSBAND ACCOMPANIED HIM AT 0605 AT LOBBY, CONCERIGE MAN came, SO MY SON GAVE THE TICKET TO CONCEIRGE MAN. HE LOOKED AND GAVE IT BACK TO HIM. SO YOUR CONCERIGE PROB. NOT MY SON not give.CORRECT? my hsuband said he didnt take looked only, inconvenietnly son had to hold THE TICKET AT THE LOBBY WITH MY HUSBAND, NO further staff came for IT, USUAL PRACTICE FOR other hotels: staff get the tix when SEATED on the bus row by row/ when hop on bus. iso he gave the driver when on, drive said SIT DOWN. so he held his tix all the way gave driver at NRT, driver didnt take. SO? whose problem? whats the point to keep a return bus tix valid for 14 days only? i was here whole day no one asked me about it even when i went down at 1030pm 21st to conceirge to ask about my ice packs upon chk out, no one mentioned anything after 16 hours, so why ask at a rush of 1030 am for my 1035am bus? while being held hostage late at1045am this silly bell girl with the driver next to her cont to ask me which terminal for baggage tag. i said T2. when converige shd hv that info already when booking the bus.why NOW? even so, i repeated again T2, give me a blue tag. then she still umbling on the booklet asking what airline. i said cathay pacific, we are in a hurry could u put the tag on? geex whats the questioning of T2 for another 5 mins. then she was like errm T2? airline? come on the whole bus is waiting, i told u T2 &CX you dont believe!
Gardens, staff, cleanliness, service, everything was outstanding
The hot spring and the housekeeping was exceptional during the 5 nights we stayed in 2 rooms
The restaurant during weekends was chaotic. We had to wait exceptionally long ( almost an hour between servings and despite that some of our orders were not fulfilled and the waitress didn’t even have the honesty to admit that she screwed up . Fortunately for us the sushi Chef heard our order and spoke out to support us ... then followed a bunch of apologies typical of Japanese courtesy. On a separate subject , We had to reschedule our trip this time because of booking.com and their incompetent staffs . Originally we had confirmed reservations by booking.com for Kanaya Resorts but had to cancel and stayed instead at Highland Hotel in Hakone. Instead of coming clean to tell us outright that the resort was effected by the typhoon a rep from booking.com contacted me very close to our trip and said that the resort was overbooked . This idiot named Judd actually lied for reasons best known to himself . The second day after I replied stating my unhappiness another rep from booking. informed me that the cancellation was necessary because of relocation. 2 reps in the company with 2 different stories . It was the first time after so many bookings that booking.com failed me and this idiot called Judd was particularly offensive and high handed in the way he handled the cancellation . Not suitable for the hospitality business . I’m hoping that my remarks will be published as this is an official complain. Finally I accepted the hotel proposed by another rep named Lian after rejecting the one proposed by the second rep named Casie. who suggested La Foret where I had stayed before. Unlike the first rep Judd who was uncouth and rude , the other two reps were polite and articulate.
Friendly and approachable staff who didn't hesistate to provide advice and to answer questions. The staff went the extra mile to assist me with directions and shopping and advice. The views from the rooms are incredible.
Paying an extra fee to just use the pool and jacquizzi. I feel this should be included in the initial cost.
A hidden Gem in Tokyo, great Staff , beautiful gardens , and an incredible place to stay in Tokyo , to score this hotel a 10 doesn’t do it justice it deserves 100 +++++
