People were friendly, nice roof top. Loved the location clean and cool rooms.
Bathrooms get really wet from showers. Not a mop in every bathroom.
Breakfast is not really special. Just like normal breakfast, such as cereal, milk, coffee, tea, toast, etc
Excellent location, friendly people and they have many activities during the week
Some times the shower are dirty and the floor of the room as well.
The price is amazing. You cannot beat the price per night for the location of the property. It is within walking distance to many of the major sites in Sydney. Its also within a couple blocks to public transit stops to get you to the rest. The bed linens provided were clean, and the comfort of the bed was actually pretty good. Wi-fi was free and acceptable. The lockers in the room were pretty good size. I was able to fit carry-on size luggage and a book bag just fine. They lockers are made of wood. They will not keep someone out who REALLY wants to get inside, but that is unlikely to be an issue.
Its dirty. Very dirty. The photos on this property listing do not accurately reflect the current condition of the property. In the photos the rooms are large, its clean, and bright. That is not the conditions I experienced at all. The room was very close quarters. Two people cannot fit between the bed and the wall. Only one person can be there at a time, like a prison cell. The windows of the rooms were usually kept open on night. Temperature-wise this was fine. But due to the location of the hostel it can be very loud outside. Not just the noise of people at the bars, but also just noises of the city. Trucks and cars in the alley can be very loud, and there are several garage doors that sound loud alarms when they are opening for safety reasons. As other reviews said, the bathrooms and showers were dirty and always wet. Always wet. You will absolutely need to bring some shower shoes. I would highly advise against putting your bare feet on the floors. They are also very small. There is only a tiny sink on the wall, a toilet, and a trash can. There is no place to set anything down. There is no hand drier or paper towels in the bathroom, so you need to bring your own towel every time you need to wash your hands. Their website states most of their guests are 18-35 years old. I would say that is accurate, but definitely weighted towards the younger side. There were usually people awake and talking in the bedrooms with the lights on until at least midnight. The roof top area is where people are partying. The two times I checked it out here were large groups chugging alcohol and cheering. Many of the younger guests are here to party. In general people stay up late and sleep in.
