Superb location for theatre and sightseeing. Very friendly staff. Room had plenty of character & was more spacious than I expected. Loved the view of the Tudor timber framed building across the road.
Hot water tap in bathroom wouldn't turn on. Room was over-heated - couldn't turn down temperature. Lovely coffee machine provided in the room - but no coffee cups!
Good breakfast with plenty available
Lovely hotel very convenient for all local amenities. My room was incredibly spacious and comfortable, and the staff were very welcoming and attentive. Food was delicious as well - and the evening port was very much enjoyed!
Only a small thing, but it would have been nice if my room had an extra chair to relax in. There was a wooden desk chair, but a comfy armchair to curl up in to enjoy the port would have been nice - especially as there is ample room.
The food and service was excellent. The bar is actually very good with a very nice atmosphere. If we'd had a different room I think we would have really liked the stay. The location is superb.
The room was cold, needed redecoration and was next to a noisy bar. It was basically a disabled room so £126 without breakfast was way too much for what was a poor room. Parking is a good 5-7 min walk away and you have to pay extra.
