10.0 Excellent
Pros: We booked a quiet little getaway to relax and unwind and that’s what we got, friendly owners of the guest house , a excellent selection for breakfast in comparison to a very small cost , rooms cleaned daily with everything you need for a couple of days , we had an extremely large bed that was comfortable and our bedroom view was of the sea harbour, this is a small harbour town that’s easy and small enough to walk around , for further sight seeing you can travel out of town and visit the hull of Galloway lighthouse and botanic gardens you can also visit a few coastline towns that are within travelling distance , there isn’t much in the towns except have a coffee and take in the scenery which is beautiful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Handy location to ferry
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were really lovely people. They were very thoughtful in thinking of all the things travellers would need. We were very impressed with the comfortable large king bed, the hanging rack so much better than a robe. The opening window overlooking the street. Arriving at the beautiful pink painted house with flowers under the windows was a happy feeling, especially on a rainy day. The freshly cooked hot breakfast was the best by far on our roadtrip. Internet was good & body lotions etc were quality.
Cons: There was absolutely nothing we did not like

Pros: Clean and very quiet
Cons: Attitude of proprietor. Cannot take criticism of the place. We had an issue with only being able to check in betwwen the times of 3pm and 11pm. Outside these times you have had it and your money will be taken, as "no show"". You kind of get the impression accept this fact or go elsewhere. Anyway he showed poor attitude. 8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good but basic. Room and ensuite good although a little small. Friendly and clean and we could come and go as we pleased. Good location
Cons: We would have liked a little more variety for breakfast eg a continental breakfast or a fry. It would have been nice to have had a sitting area inside although we enjoyed sitting outside in the good weather.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Nice view from front of property.
Cons: Tiny shower not suitable for anyone of larger build. Thin walls allowing conversation from adjoining room to be clearly heard. Short window of opportunity for breakfast which has to be ordered the night before.

Pros: Excellent hosts. Breakfast was brilliant & good choices, made to order. Comfy bed. Short walk into town ( a slight hill) Lovely views from dining room. Really good value.
Cons: The shower was a bit claustrophobic but water pressure brilliant. View from bedroom a bit disappointing. Might be better if the stuff stored below the window was covered out of sight from guests. This is an observation not a criticism. Everything else was perfect.

Lovely view from the garden over the village out to the sea. Unless going out of the village park you car up in the free parking and walk. I cannot recommend Blinkbonnie high enough, really lovely place. We wil be back.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike, its a lovely place to stay.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Immaculate, comfortable and stunning view. Very friendly and chatty host. Beautifully cooked and presented breakfast

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Superb location, incredible accommodation and staff were fantastic
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely breakfast; nice feel to property of character
Cons: Chair in room lacking
10.0 Excellent
Pros: After a very long journey - we were made to feel very welcome, and at home. The staff couldn't do more than enough to ensure we had all we needed, and were comfortable. I would definitely recommend the hotel, especially as a stop over if you are getting the ferry the next day - much better than staying directly in Stranraer!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff really friendly, very relaxed informal atmosphere. Ate in the hotel both nights - though hadn't intended to - food really good standard, and dining area really nice atmosphere. Breakfast was also fantastic. Location is beautifully remote, but close enough to Stranraer, Port Patrick and the mull of Galloway all of which we visited over the weekend. We had stayed here about 3 yrs ago and loved it. We were a bit fazed to learn it had changed ownership, but glad to report it has lost none of it's charm, infact probably improved since last vist. Room was clean and comfortable and had everything you would expect in a small hotel. Will most certainly be back for another visit. Fantastic value for money. Thanks for a wonderful weekend.
Cons: Could have had a bit more tourist information available, couldn't see any about...(minor quibble!!)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great Restaurant onsite for dinner. Delicious food and great service. You do not need to be a guest to go to the restaurant.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A well maintained hotel in attractive grounds (with llamas!) and in an ideal location to visit local attractions. Breakfast in the conservatory was pleasant and the cooked part was good. The bedroom was superb - very spacious & with its own sofa. In addition there was a comfortable lounge downstairs. The evening menu was high quality with ample portions and eaten in a room near the bar. Service was helpful and the staff pleasant.
Cons: The lack of choice of fruit juice at breakfast - I'm not keen on orange juice, and no replenishing of the berry etc fruit mix which meant my husband didn't get any. The Wi-Fi was available but didn't work very well which was a disappointment. I think there may be an issue of capacity? An unfortunate overcharge on the bill was quickly and politely refunded when it was pointed out.

7.5 Good
Pros: We had to leave too early to get the breakfast but did get sandwiches made for us the night before that we ate on our ferry ride to Belfast. We were very close to the ferry terminal to go to Belfast.
Cons: I thought that the entry to the hotel could have had a desk out where arrivals could see them and be greeted with a friendly smile. I had to walk back to a room off the front door where the hostess had her back to me. She was quite nice and helpful...it was just the first impression of the hotel could have been a wee bit better.
7.9 Good
Cons: Room ws smaller than expected but still comfortable
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at the Harbour Guest House. The owners were very friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was simply delicious. The location of the hotel is also excellent with ample free parking literally just across the road. The room was clean, spacious, quiet and comfortable, with tea, coffee, water and biscuits provided, and there was also a fridge for guests to use. Seriously, you will not find a better value-for-money hotel than this particular hotel in Stranraer, so if you are thinking of visiting the area, and there are vacancies at this hotel on the days you wish to travel, then do not hesitate to book your stay there, as I can guarantee you will not find a better value-for-money hotel anywhere in the area, or possibly anywhere else in Scotland, or anywhere else in the UK for that matter, and if you ever stay there, you will discover for yourself that I am not exaggerating at all when I say this.
Cons: There was nothing at all to dislike about this hotel.

Pros: The lady running the place was very helpfull
Cons: We booked the thistle because it advertised bed and breakfast and bar facilities. I got message 7 days before saying they don't do breakfast anymore but no mention of a reduction. On arrival at the hotel we were informed that the bar only opened on a Saturday and as we arrived on a Friday we could not get a drink on the premises. I was informed that Morrissions did a good breakfast which cost nearly £10 each so I believe this should be reimburst
