The location is very good. Kitchen is very ok as well as common spaces
The matress is so soft that it ends up hurting. The rooms are super small - one less bunker bed and it would solve the problem. The room was facing the street, so a lot of light was coming in all the night.
The room was cozy, simple and beautiful. The location was perfect, you could walk to the centre and there was also a metro station nearby. The kitchen was fully equipped
The common rooms had a weird smell. The paper in the toilets was of really bad quality. Our TV in the room was not working for some reason. Lastly, because there were no good curtains on the windows we were waking up at sunrise.
Good placement. Quite close to many shops and subway stations (less than 10 minutes of walking to hotörget)
1) Harassment by homeless men that live there. - One person (a dark-skinned energetic 30-40 yo guy with far-spaced eyes who says “I’m your brother” to everyone he likes) kept touching me without permission and said things to me like “Are you staying alone? I want to come to your room with you tonight”. - Another guy (a 40+ yo cook from Pakistan who often wears a cap and says “this is you?” instead of “is this yours?” and generally has bad English) followed me around every time he met me, commenting on my looks, asking if he could visit me in my home country and requesting my contacts. - Some middle-aged men sitting in the kitchen (mainly the two mentioned above) always commented on things I did and tried to talk to me while I was making food, eating or resting. I felt forced to spend a noticeable amount of time providing them with conversations that were pleasant for them but exhausting and creepy for me. - On my last day after checking out I literally ran away from the hostel with all my heavy bags due to an especially creepy episode (the cook guy told me that he was in love with me and kept asking if I believed him). 2) Scammy additional fees. 50 SEK for bedsheets, 50 SEK for a lock on your locker (otherwise prepare for thieves!), 40 SEK for a towel, 20 SEK for printing out one page. 3) Horrible staff. They were polite with me because I didn’t cause trouble and knew their language, but I saw them treating other guests horribly and rudely. 4) Dirty place. Saw cockroaches and bugs. No proper cleaning up. 5) Drinking. It was supposed to be prohibited, but people were drinking there anyway. The staff allowed it. 6) Theft is a problem. I personally didn’t have anything stolen from me (I payed for a lock :), but there’s even signs on refrigerators asking people to stop stealing food, so it must be pretty bad.
Clean and well equipped. Great location.
No window in the room. That's horrible. Reception staff not on spot during checkout times (had to wait 10-15 minutes) Had to pay extra for bedding and towels
Only the location. Keep in mind that in booking if you put only one thing good they calculate your average evaluation as 3.8 stars to get 2.5 stars I had to put everything at 0% this means that less than 4 stars is very bad.
It costs us more than an hotel and we got bed bugs and the worst experience of our lives, keeping in mind that we are frequent travellers and we have been everywhere in the world already. The customer service was really rude, despite in booking they told us we could check in before 2pm, at the reception they neither looked at us before 2PM and we had to go back. We had to pay extra 5 euros for sheets and 4 euros for 1 towel. Dirty bathrooms, no toilet paper, filthy carpet everywhere and no windows. There is no hairdryer. It says you must check out before 11AM or you will get extra charges and that reception is open from 8AM to 11AM but we went to check out at 9:30 AM and the reception was closed and we had to wait she came back. Then we went to pick up the luggage at 2:15 PM (check in time) and the reception was closed and there was a queue of people waiting. We had to go and look for the receptionist in order to not lose our flight. But the worst is that we are full of bed bugs bites and we had to take antihistamine and seal our belongings in order to avoid infesting our house and we are still looking for a solution to be sure we didnt carry any bed bugs with us.
