Cozy room. Comfortable beds.
Outside appearance of hotel, location. Breakfast was good
Heard people above our room walking late at night and people in adjoining room talking.
The location in near the riverfront Park which is a must see place in Spokane. Also the staff was very nice and the building itself is very unique. We enjoyed our stay and I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Spokane.
Rooms had a very small sink separate from the bathroom. For one person, this would be fine but for a couple it's a bit small.
Beautiful hotel, easy access, handicapped parking next to side entrance, staff very polite.
After making my on-line reservation I called the hotel to request the room be ADA compliant. The desk clerk, apparently unaware that she could do this, transferred me to the “Reservation Desk” (probably in India or the Philippines, judging by the difficulty in understanding her English ). When I called back to the hotel to verify my request, I was told I now had reserved TWO rooms, NEITHER of which were ADA compliant! But this time the desk clerk (Paul) said it was no problem, he would cancel the second reservation and assign me an ADA Compliant room. Why couldn’t the first desk clerk have done this, saving the hassle, time, and potentially a lot of money? It would have been so much easier if the on-line booking site allowed you to select ADA compliant rooms as an option. That’s certainly enough of a complaint but here are a few annoyances. The walls are so thin that the barking dog and the complaining kids next door at 5:30 AM might as well have been in my room. As for the mini fridge that whined constantly whenever it cycled on, I had to unplug just to get to sleep. There’s no pool, which certainly disappointed the grandmother who checked in next to me when she had to explain it to all her grandkids (this is the first Holiday Inn Express I’ve ever stayed at that didn’t have a pool). And finally, the cookies that were advertised didn’t materialize till after 6:00 PM which is generally after most people check in (did I mention the grandmother with the disappointed grandkids?).
Breakfast was great. Staff were very nice. The lobby is beautiful.
Bathrooms small and the door almost hits the toilet. Tile seemed old and dirty in the corners especially. Room smelled funky.
