Fantastic location and staff. Really nice welcome and send off by the hotel staff
Big ridge between the single beds that made the double and the room and corridors were just a bit tired. Would benefit with redecorating. The frosted glass door in the bathroom was directly in front of the toilet and when in use with the light on lacked privacy
The Scarlet is a very unique property throwing back to the colonial past of Singapore. Was a very quiet and comfortable stay. Staff were great.
The hotel location was great for Chinatown. We found the plunge pool when we were changing to go to the airport, and had a quick dip. Very comfortable bed.
I was disappointed to find there was no window in our room. On checking the wording on booking.com there was a sentence which said not all rooms have windows, but I missed that.
Ceiling is high and feel the room bigger than actual sqm.
It would be better if it has a window
The hotel was quirky with lots of 'Alice in Wonderland' type of features and was close to shops, restaurants, train stations and Chinatown for cheap shopping. The staff were excellent, they could not do enough for us. Would recommend for singles or couples.
This was our last stop of a 4 week holiday and there was nothing I didn't like about this hotel.
Vivacious and uninhibited, the interiors of The Scarlet pulsate with an eclectic tension, offering all who enter an adventure for the senses. This stylish hotel will provide a fabulous design experience for the discerning traveller. Re-launching after a 5-month nip and tuck, The Scarlet Singapores appeal is alluring, and her attractions, multi-faceted. Bold, daring, uninhibited and different. This gracious hostess is yours again to pamper and indulge you with a luxuriously personalized boutique hotel experience every time. Nestled amidst the vibrant Club Street community of creative agencies, specialty shops, boutique spas, trendy restaurants and cafes, wine bars, antiques shops and art galleries, The Scarlet provides a completely different 5-star experience. Historic Erskine Road leads you to a row of 1868 Early Shop Houses and an original 1924 Art Deco building, whose architectural detailing have been expertly retained and lovingly restored.
