The hotel has an excellent location overlooking the sea with extremely pleasant and helpful staff. Our room, number 21, was, as advertised, "compact" but we appreciated the ground floor access. Breakfast offered a varied choice, I especially enjoyed the fruit platter, and also the kippers, as a change from the usual full English breakfast, though would have preferred my toast to be crisp. Food at the hotel was served piping hot on hot plates. The evening meals were imaginative and well presented, the most enjoyable meals we had in the nearby area and were very good value for money.
good home cooked food, cleanliness and comfort of all public areas, spatious room with balcony giving uninterupted panoramic views of the sea, excellent access to the beach and promenade, secure pin coded locks to external doors and secure locks to bedroom doors, free parking on site, free WIFI, helpful staff
Comfort and friendly staff
We had a very comfortable stay. The room was a little small but very clean and with a good size and very well presented bathroom. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and efficient. There was a good choice for breakfast: the fruit platter in particular was very welcome but it was all well presented. The location was great - with lovely views over the sea, an easy walk to the beach and to the town centre, and to the delightful chine.
Location to old town, friendliness of hotel staff, excellent food and service.
The owners were absolutely marvelous. The food was excellent. We had a lovely stay. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to friends and family.
I can think of nothing that I would say was wrong
The Staff were always very friendly and accommodating. The food was also excellent and well cooked.
The stairs proved to be a struggle for my elderly mother who also has asthma.
Lovely friendly staff, nice room and unfaultable customer services. We will definatley visit here again.
