Good place on a budget
It's location was ok. Pretty much in the middle of all the sites. It got the job done as a place to lay at night. I felt safe enough with the metal gate and a security guard at night. I rented a car and street parking, while free at night, was kinda hard. but very doable. 3 straight nights i found free meter (9pm-9am) parking within 3 blocks of the hotel. While there was a lot of bums, they seem harmless enough, but there was a lot. Hotel staff wasn't answering the door when we first arrived but eventually got in after several calls and ringing the bell over ad over. I'd defiantly stay at better place in a better area if i ever go back to SF, but for the price it was good.
Didn't like that i had to call and ring the bell over and over until i got in. Location is right near tenderloin with all the crazy bums.
The cost and location
I enjoyed hearing the bells of the Cable Cars as they stopped in front of the hotel. Otherwise, my stay was pleasent.
The difficulty in carrying luggage up the front steps.
It was cheap, and filled a need
it was in the centre & easy to get around
it could off been cleaner &staff a bit friendlyer
