Great staff, location, decor.
No WiFi entire 2 night stay. Noisy exhaust fan in bathroom that was linked to light, no window. Basin strainer broken, sharp edges. Bed sank in middle.
We have stayed there for three years running and will be going back again next year. Very good location and everything about the hotel and staff was first class.
The carparking is a bit of a hike but one expects that to be the case in an ancient town like Ronda.
This hotel is situated right next to the Puente Nuevo (New Bridge) tourist attraction, that crosses the deep gorge that carries the Guadalevín River through Ronda. It is full of antiques and has a grand feel to it. The air conditioning in the room was very quiet, but it didn't seem to be controllable from the panel in the room. The breakfast was plentiful and there was a lot on offer. We arrived a little late and we were pleasantly surprised that we were allowed to take our time and the staff ensured that we had everything that we needed.
The 'nearby' car park advertised does not belong to this property, but it doesn't offer a discount from the usual (expensive) price. It is a 5 to 10 minute walk away, so you may prefer to leave bags at the hotel and then go to park. On street parking in Ronda is VERY difficult to get and will take you some time to find a space. The hotel itself must have been something very special in its early days, but now, many things need to be repaired or replaced. It has not been maintained well.
Lovely antique Moroccan/Arab style house that has been converted into a boutique hotel. Gorgeous decor, the beautiful chandelier in the reception area, the open courtyard, all the lovely paintings in the most ornate frames, and little touches like statues and lanterns everywhere. We had a double room, the bed was a double so smaller than most hotels, but the furniture, high ceiling and the firework in the bathroom were beautiful and the bed size wasn't an issue for us. Our room (1) faced the street so you could hear cars going along the road, but with the timber shutters closed at night it was quiet and we slept really well. Great location, steps away from the Puente Nuevo, lots of cafes and restaurants within an easy walk. We are lunch at the cafe downstairs and the salad we had was one of the best we've had so far this trip. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simple but delicious.
Superb views from the room. Great decor. Breakfast can be taken outside . Staff super friendly and helpful
Located in Old Town, this hotel is steps from Museo Lara, Puente Nuevo, and Casa del Rey Moro. Plaza de Espana and Plaza de Toros are also within 5 minutes.
