The staff was responsive because it was a last minute reservation.Cons:
First of all the car was absolutely expensive for what it was I had to charge $1317 to my credit card the full amount to rent the book the car for the 8days. The car was filthy both inside and out. During the Overlook there wasn’t one place on the car that wasn’t scratched, dented and or sprayed with tar. During the trip the right rear tire was flat and we were bottoming out in all of the speed limit bumps. it would barely make it up the steep grade of the hills in Tortola with four people in the car. The AC actually worked pretty well. The radio did not work, the 12 V outlet did not work so you could not charge a cell phone, the rear wiper was broken, and the rear hatch lid would not stay up. Ultimately you laugh and call it an island car. Although I wouldn’t pay $300 for that car in the states to buy it. Post hurricane Irma and Maria I imagine it’s difficult. The staff was kind and attentive and friendly.2.0 Poor

The fact that I got a car. The drop off was much smoother than pick up, staff who drove us to the airport for our departure was very nice.Cons:
We showed up with lots of people waiting for cars after never receiving a shuttle ride from the airport as advertised. We then waited outside for an hour to receive a dirty car that was apparently the last one they had available. We had rented out a truck or similar car, however we’re told they do not offer that vehicle ever (we did see a truck parked in the lot). We received a dirty van that was very beat up and went on our way just happy to have received a car.2.0 Poor

Sadly, nothing. There was no car available for us as promised in our reservation. Thrifty Car Rental St John sayid that third party internet trial companies promise rental cars that they don’t actually have, so we were left high and dry. Horrible.Cons:
Thrifty never came to the airport to get us. They barely answered the phone and when they did they put us in hold and never re-answered the phone. After over an hour waiting we had to get a cab to the off airport site, and only then did they tell us that our third party “reservation” was not valid in their eyes. Thankfully Budget Rental Car in the airport had a last minute cancellation that we were able to get there...and after I got back to the airport—again on my own—was able to get that car and continue with my vacation. Avoid off-airport companies like this one!2.0 Poor
