Sub standard room
The room were not clean. You could find hair on the floor and shower. There were left over foods in the fridge from previous customer. It is not worth it.
Good resort but with a few key problems
Like the overall location, and idea off GSR. There was good opportunity for activities and the room quality itself was good.
The casino still allows smoking in most public areas, which in 2018 is not really acceptable. Smoke fills the entire casino, and even was obviously present in my room on a non-smoking floor. My allergies and lungs were not happy. This was my third time at GSR, and, over the past 2 years the quality of the food served by their Grand Buffet and Grand Cafe has fallen off a cliff. The intended all-inclusive nature of the resort no long is appealing when you have to have food delivered before the food available on-site is repeatedly bad enough to need to complain to wait-staff.
GSR is a place to go in Reno
Casino, Children’s Arcade, ease of checkin/ checkout Lot of activities for all age group.
Ability to make dinner reservations was not there.
It was my first time there , and I liked that everything is there to have great fun in family
The room , was not vacuumed, bathroom floor was not sweep and it wasn’t mopped, And front desk ask me if I wanted and upgrade for $20.00 more I said yes and what i found is what I just explained Thank you
The room was nice and comfortable
Everything was expensive and my girlfriends salmon was under cooked
The smell of cigarette smoke from casino.
Staff, rooms and food.
There was some construction and back parking was a little rough.
I liked how there was absolutely nothing I could do about the resort $33 resort fee
What started out as one of the most affordable options with the listed price quickly changed to it being one of the expensive choices. The resort fee was not listed in the price & should've been. Also, upon check in, I was offered an upgrade that was more expensive to get features that I had already been told were included. If I paid more out of pocket to get the things that I was led to believe that I had already pud for, I would've almost doubled by price. And for what? This isn't Hawaii, it's Reno.
Everything was great
Was offered an upgrade upon check-in and it did not disappoint. The room was clean, spacious, great views of the mountains and city, and comfortable bed. The temperature was set at a comfortable 67 degrees and the housekeeping staff was very courteous in understanding of our being in the room later and cleaned it promptly after. We are locals and GSR is consistently rated as one of the better casinos and staying there was no exception.
There needs to be a bit more communication between front desk staff and housekeeping. When we extended our stay by a day (having work done on our house) apparently that message was not conveyed to housekeeping who was trying to kick my boyfriend out. It was resolved, but created some hassle for him.
Front Desk provided Smoking Room for family with Children
Front Desk lady provided Smoking floor but didn't disclose it to us when we checked in. We found out from a guest in the elevator. My daughter and I couldn't sleep the entire night. We inhaled lots of 2nd hand smokes in our lungs. Complaints to Front Desk manager and she said there's no guarantee the guests will get non smoking room, even we have a child in our room. This is ridiculous!
Clean but missing basic things
Clean rooms, restaurant staff nice, nice arcade and bowling alley.
Missing safe, missing refrigerator, missing blow dryer in the room. Claimed that Nevada state fire code does not allow rollaway in a room with 2 beds and there is no mention of this when booking. I can't find this mentioned anywhere in any code online, so it seems like a BS reason. The square footage was certainly big enough to accommodate it.
