9.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms are awesome! Pool is nice! Staff super friendly and nice breakfast. Proximity to nice beaches, coral reefs and manzanillo
Cons: Not so much wildlife to be seen on the property and the way to come in from the main road is quite dirty because of the neighbours..
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Super nice place to stay with a beautiful garden and spacious modern houses. Also the pool area is very nice and the breakfast is great. Would highly recommend to stay here when travelling to Puerto Viejo.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place. A few bungalows in a paradise setting. Close to a lovely beach too. Rooms were very comfortable. Homemade breakfast changed every day and was amazing. Could rent bikes and get laundry done in super quick time. Marc welcomed us with and smile and made our stay so easy and enjoyable. Can't recommend Caribe Town enough. Tip: get the chocolate massage!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice host who made very good breakfast and was very helpful. The bungalows were really nice and cool, even mid day. Caribe Town has some bikes for the guests, which we used to go to Punta Uva beach. From there we walked as long as we could on the beach, about 1-1,5 hours, so in total close to 3 hours. There were only restaurants at the end, so bring a lot of water if you do that walk.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Fresh breakfast every morning, with eggs made your way.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great breafast Great cabins Great owners and staff
Cons: Leaving

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place in incredible. The cabins are beautiful and clean; the bed is comfortable and they bathroom is huge. I loved all of it. Also, the location is very good. Being apart from town, isolated, is great. Nonetheless, you can walk to several places –including the sea.
Cons: I like everything.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location off the main road 256 (so easily accessible) within jungle area but close to beach (5 mins from Playa Chiquita, 20mins Playa Punta Uva - both walking) Falling to sleep and waking up to the sound of the jungle is a must is CR and this place offers one of the most comfortable experiences for this! Beautiful large, airy room (large ceiling to keep cool) Good ceiling fan to keep cool Large bathroom with warm shower (novelty with CR), and outside view into the jungle - like own private jungle shower, very cool! Nice decking area outside of room, with hammock, two chair and table, which is covered and protected from rain. Excellent breakfast of fruits, scrambled eggs with toast and marmalade (pineapple), and fresh juice and coffee Nice pool area, surrounded by the jungle Very welcoming service!
Cons: Nothing - our best hotel during a three week trip across Costa Rica!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The Spanish owners are extremely nice and welcoming you like in their home. The eco lodge is confortable. The breakfast is fresh and different every day. The jungle garden is beautiful with animals including sloths.
Cons: Please be aware jungle sounds (howler monkey) will wake you up since the lodge is open to the garden with only insect protection at the windows.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: beautiful and well maintained lodge, very nice owner
Cons: pool is very small but this is definitively the only negative point
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was the best place we've stayed in during our vacation in Costa Rica. The architecture of the rooms is really smart and sustainable, the design is beautiful and minimalistic. You really feel like you're deep in the jungle, you can really relax and unwind with the sounds of nature in the background. The rooms are really big and are always in the shade, so there's a nice temperature, even during daytime (at lest this was the case during our stay). The bathroom and the shower are also very spacious and comfortable; the shower gel and the shampoo provided are very nice smelling and biodegradable. The towels smell also really nice, like a clean home. The family owning this lodge is very nice, polite and helped us in numerous occasions. It felt like home away from home, we just loved it here. Highly recommend it.
Cons: We liked everything.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This undeniably the most beautiful location we stayed at during our time in costa rica. It's located in walking distance two nice beaches and is run by wonderful people. Highly recommend!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable, beautiful facility, management was very attentive.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We love this place! We came back for a second time because we enjoyed it so much when we were there on our honeymoon. It has such a relaxing stress free vibe. The staff is always very friendly and personable. This is a great place to come if you want an escape from life for a while.
Cons: Air conditioning would be nice when the humidity becomes unbearable, but we understand it would take away from the Caribbean vibe that makes this place so special.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel Free to borrow beach mats Great lunch in the restaurant Happy hour cocktails Nice beach spot
Cons: Pool located directly next to the restaurant so overlooked but the beach is nice
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were amazing and the staff
Cons: The slug in the bath tub
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location, excellent food, tasty cocktails, and friendly owners and staff
Cons: Could have done with 2 pillows per person on the beds - only a minor issue though!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfasts were good with fresh fruits, juices and entrees. Great coffee, we loved having coffee on the beach in the morning and service from your beach chairs throughout the day. Ronald at the bar/kitchen was amazing! He took great care of us. The night we arrived, we checked in late after the bar and kitchen closed. They greeted us with fresh coconut waters and went out of their way to make sure we had something to eat. We saw monkeys in the trees and he birds were amazing to wake up to every morning. Beautiful facility and we really appreciated their overnight laundry service. The staff was friendly and knowledgable. Best place we stayed in Costa Rica. Off the beaten path but not far. Great location, great staff, great value. Tours can be booked on location. Can't wait to go back. :)
Cons: I didn't like that we had to leave and we couldn't stay longer. Best value in accommodations that I've seen in a while.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the location. Loved the staff who were super friendly
Cons: We stayed the cottage and it could have been cleaner
7.1 Good
Pros: The staff were excellent, very cheerful and helpful. Food was excellent too.
Cons: The worst thing was the staff have never converted the buildings properly. The food/ ceiling spaces are not soundproofed in any way, we could hear everything at 4 am. This is totally unacceptable, impossible to sleep. Also, the bathrooms had no cupboards, no hooks, nowhere to put anything. This is rather basic
6.0 Good
Pros: Hotel atmostphere is very beautiful. Staff is so helpful and friendly.
Cons: My room is dreadful. Small and condition of room is like budget bungalow of the beach in Thailand but pay 10 times more. To be honest, i still dont understand why they sell this room to this price. I would like other tourist to be careful to book. I also would like booking.com to tell hotel ... should not sell this room at this price or should mention that the room looks like budget bungalow.... If they dont do this, booking.com should reject this in your page. I dont want this to happen with other customer.. If room is good, my stay will be like heaven ...

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and room
Cons: The pool is very small but the beach club is nice
5.8 Okay
Pros: Noa restaraunt, cooking class
Cons: No phone in room and they pretended to not know, ice cold, older and you could see warping because of moisture, smelled like paint, no vegetables during breakfast, promised 2 free cocktails because of issues and didn’t give them but gave a fruit basket we couldn’t eat on the last night before we left.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Relax quite peaceful beautiful People Service was Excellent and helpful
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very attentive stuff We got a room upgrade Breakfast was ok - small buffet style - could be more if compared with other hotels in that price category Nice surroundings and you can see animals We enjoyed the jacuzzi and the hotels has a good selection of food
Cons: All good - Costa Rica in general is expensive
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really beautiful place, nice location, friendly staff and value for money.
7.9 Good
Pros: Very stylish design. We love the way the room is recoloured every day, even the paintings change! Spacious room. The staff are very warm and polite. Two very nice pools and a hot jacuzzi (Shame about the chairs - see below)
Cons: There is not one comfortable chair anywhere in the property. A real triumph of design over practicality. The fact that everything is white means it is starting to show its age. It is very expensive really for the quality but welcome to Costa Rica. Service in the bar restaurant is a little slow but not so one needed to complain.
5.0 Okay
Cons: Very expensive for what you get. This is not a 5 star hotel. The restaurant is completely overpriced with very slow service. Paid for a junior suite and was given a deluxe room without compensation. Rooms smell of mildew/mold. Ground floor rooms are surrounded by a swamp
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was perfect. And the colors of room decor changes everyday!
Cons: Room service is a little bit lazy

5.8 Okay
Pros: Nicely located far from the noise but still close to everything (from restaurants to the playa). Good value for money.
Cons: Rooms were not that clean and some of them did not have hot water. You could smell the humidity and mold. The place has so much potential, so it would need little effort to be much better. Wifi is a little bit cranky. We shared the room with a giant beetle!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place yo stay!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place , very friendly hosts , clean room , comfortable bed , nice shared space with shared kitchen , lovely garden jungle area , close to beautiful beaches and far enough away from Puerto Viejo to feel truly removed and close enough to get to by bike . Will return to Casa Moabi the next time I am in the area .
Cons: Not enough time to be able to enjoy more of the area .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Andy is hilarious and social. Very health, kind humour. And excellent hospitality. I love that the whole family (and family of dogs and cats) has such visible presence on the process. I felt like I had a family at casa moabi and really loved that the location was away from the loud traffic from the city, yet accessible by bike. Would definitely tell my friends to stay!
Cons: Internet could be better but from what Andy said, they are somewhat in a dead zone (telecommunications still developing in Costa Rica)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A lovely little one night stay just outside Puerto Viejo (10 min roughly) very relaxing, friendly environment with wonderful staff and facilities. Our room was big, clean, comfy and quiet with lovely hot shower. The kitchen facilities are great and the breakfast even better. This place is lovely a real retreat from the noisy town. Close walking to beautiful beaches nearby and loads of wildlife spotting.

Cons: Nothing
4.0 Okay
Pros: A nice Caribbean area, but the other coast is much more diverse.
Cons: As for the hotel. Sorry for the bad rating but we did not like the stay. There was a terrible stink in the room and on the terrace. I think you could find better and cheaper accommodation in the area. I do not recommend for a longer stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Andrea is an amazing person! He gave us tips about restaurants , places to go, and everything that you need !
Cons: Nothing !
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Andrea, who took care of us, is amazing!!! It is a great place for relaxing, close to both beach and forest! Waking up in the morning to watch amazing forest right on your balcony and hearing the birds monkeys etc was a wonderful way to wake up every morning. The Hotell is very good located and the room tidy and pretty. The staff was very helpful and friendly and we definetly recommend this place
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This property was an excellent location backing right up to the jungle. We enjoyed relaxing on our spacious patio and enjoying the sights and sounds of the rainforest. We woke every morning to the sounds of tropical birds and howler monkeys in the trees surrounding the hotel. All accommodations were exceptionally clean and comfortable. The pool was awesome in the jungle setting as well. Andrea was an excellent host and he made some of the best cocktails of our trip (especially his caipirinhas) and his recommendations for dinner were superb. We definitely look forward to staying at Bugabutik again! With much appreciation, Brittany and Mike
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff members. Great pool. Comfy beds. Peaceful. Quiet location.
Cons: WiFi was great in communal areas but did not work in my room (room B)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel Bugabutik is amazing. Owner Andrea is so kind and helpful. The resort is very beautiful and clean. Room was big and nice. The view out of the room was amazing. All you could see was wilderness. We even saw some animals out of our balcony. Hearing all these noises of the jungle is so peaceful. The area around the pool makes you feel like you're in the middle of the jungle. There is a bar with a tasty breakfast and through the day you can drink coffee, tea or cacao. There is also a pooltable. We really enjoyed staying there. Bugabutik won't let you down if you're looking for calm and peaceful place with a soul. 200m away is a beautiful sandy beach Cocles where you can surf, swim or just enjoy a stunning view. Puerto Viejo is 2 minutes drive away. We really love Bugabutik hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: You get to drink your coffee at the edge of the jungle, with the call of howler monkeys and chirping of tropical birds on the background. Great location, the room looked lovely and the pool was good as well

Pros: Nicely located, clean place. Stayed in one of the bigger bungalows just for one night. Enjoyed it.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The lodge is beautiful and tucked away from it all. It's a little bit of a walk to the ocean, but not too bad. The rooms were nice and gave a feeling of a tree house. Lush gardens to walk through and a small, but nice, pool. Breakfast was included and very nice. We only stayed one very quick night on our way to Panama.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: The shower temperature changed constantly

Pros: All stuff members were excellent. More wild life seen than at any other hotel ever. Anteater, agoutis, poisson dart frog, macaws, lizards, etc. We loved the common area near the reception area
Cons: The fan was broken and they knew on the check in. The parking is very limited on the property.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The Caribbean style of the rooms
Cons: No TV in any area.
7.9 Good
Pros: Great location near a local market with everything. Close to places to eat - love Punta Pasta!!! We stayed In the large multi bedroom and had 3 baths, a plus. No real Living room, but great porch !!
Cons: Sofa or living room furniture
5.4 Okay
Pros: Nice hot tub
Cons: Slow staff, and NO internet! And it does not include breakfast even though we paid almost $200 a night.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Namuwoki is an amazing place, the garden is beautiful the staff are kind and helpful. You can feel you are part of the jungle, will see animals all around. The bed is comfortable the shower is nice wide, you have plenty of room. The services such as laundry and spa are great and I recommend both. The restaurant for the evening was tasty.
Cons: The breakfast wasn’t really not variable. Almost same every morning. I would suggest them to have more types of bakery products and fresh veggies and fruits more. Plantains maybe or to show the beautiful variaty of the Caribbean gastronomy more

Cons: rental bikes are overpriced given their rusty condition
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff is amazing. They go out of their way to accommodate you!!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The place has an excellent location, really near Puerto Viejo but not the closed. Then you can sleep well at night without having parties around. Breakfast was ok, staff was nice.
Cons: Since I was travelling with my family, we had one problem: My father and my grandma are old people and it was kind of not appropiate for them, since there were a couple of stairs. The trickier ones: the ones going into our own bathroom.
7.1 Good
Pros: Nice location very close to the beach. Great surroundings.
Cons: Breakfast rather poor.
8.0 Excellent
Cons: my room was next to the reception and kitchen and was quite noisy, and therefore lacked a little privacy
Hotel Boutique Indalo - Puerto Viejo de Talamanca - Bedroom
9
8.5 Excellent (461 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, Hotel Indalo is a 2-minute drive from Playa Cocles and 8 minutes from Punta Uva Beach. Featured amenities include luggage storage, a library, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Super convenient location, 5 min walk from the center yet remote enough to be completely quiet. The building and amenities are basically new, and everything was tastefully arranged. Bed was very large and comfortable, allowing us to get good rest after a string of hotels with squeaky beds. The owners live on property and pay attention to how it’s run.
Cons: I only wish breakfast had been included and it’d be nice for the property to offer some extra services like bike rental, laundry etc. You can get all this in town but the convenience of getting it from your hotel would be welcome at this price range.
7.0 Good
Pros: Great location very close to town but without the noise and chaos. Nice rooms with fridge and aircon. No TV but we don't need so fine. Lovely small pool
Cons: No breakfast included with the stay which i thought was a little mean considering the cost.
6.0 Good
Pros: - Near the village
Cons: - Lots of mosquito's (no nets) - Beds of dirty concrete, matras okay. - Pictures and scores are not correct
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The pool was great, gardens are lovely and room is a great size!
Cons: Beds were rock hard!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Weather, food, hotel.
Cons: Parking
4.6 Okay
Pros: The rooms are big and spacious, there is a pool on the “deluxe rooms” side (which is better side with slightly more expensive rates). They change your towels everyday, the bathroom is clean, and bed was comfortable but a bit small for the size of the room. The location is close to town but not on the Main Street, so it doesn’t get too noisy at night (although there were some noisy neighbors that partied to 3am one night).
Cons: At the price of almost $100 USD/night (including taxes) for a total of 4 nights ($380 USD) that we paid for the supreme rooms, this is one of the more expensive hotels on our 3 week trip to Costa Rica.....but: - the room was full of mosquitoes and bugs - the 3 throw cushions (not the pillows) on the bed were extremely stinky (like they’ve never changed or cleaned the covers between guests...I actually can’t begin to describe how gross the smell was) - they don’t leave any extra rolls of toilet paper - the front desk person doesn’t speak any English on the first 2 days of January, I’m assuming their regular receptionist is on holiday. - they charge extra for breakfast - the WiFi was non-existent!!!! Literally doesn’t get any in the hotel :( I don’t know about the other rooms, but I didn’t have a good experience with mine.
Cabinas Yucca - Puerto Viejo de Talamanca - Building
10
8.3 Excellent (217 reviews)
Overview Reviews
When you stay at Cabinas Yucca in Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, you'll be on the beach, within a 15-minute drive of Punta Uva Beach and Cahuita National Park. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice location. We had a beachfront cabina, so we woke up every morning to a beautiful view of the ocean! Rooms are basic but clean, ours had a mini fridge and a fan. It was a little hot, but there are rooms available with air conditioning for just a little more. Love the little back deck area with table, two chairs, and hammock. Perfect for relaxing, as it backs onto the hotel's property so it is quiet and serene. Very close to beaches and restaurants, within walking distance. Hotel staff are very friendly and speak english. There is a very reasonably priced bakery across the street, perfect for an early breakfast or mid morning brunch.
Cons: The doors aren't very soundproof, so it can be a little noisy at times from neighbors or the front desk (we were right beside the check-in desk). A lot of light gets in from a window above the doorway as well, so if you like to sleep in it can get a little bright. But I think it is still good, especially for the price - very affordable if you want to stay a week or so (as we did). The only bugs we encountered were 2 millipedes on the floor - the only "holes" they could have come through were the cracks underneath the doors; I put a towel across it at night and we weren't bothered by them again.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Simple clean and easy walk to everything but tucked away from all the noise of the downtown area. Great o walk out the door and be right on the beach. Secure parking was nice too.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice staff and owner. View over the ocean from room (but no swimming due to corals). Great locations with loads of good food options within less than 5 min. walking distance.
Cons: The bathroom was quite old and not well maintained. The water coming from the faucet was slightly yellow so we did not drink it. Renovating the bathroom would give a way nicer feeling to the whole room.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location and the staff were wonderful. Monkeys outside our door added to it
Cons: No air conditioning but didn’t spoil it for me
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location can’t be beat, the facilities are clean and tidy, and the staff is friendly and responsive.
Cons: The water pressure isn’t great but it’s not terrible either.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfection stayed here twice as I like it so much. Bakery opposite with amazing coffe and a bike rental outside the gate.
Cons: It’s a little tired and worn inside the apartments and the apartments without air conditioning must be a nightmare in the height of season
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was just right, on the beach but also just on the south edge of town so it was quiet at night. It's a great starting point for a bike ride down to Punta Uva and the other great beaches. Mariam was very friendly and actually runs down the stairs to meet you when you ring the bell. I stayed there twice during my time in Puerto Viejo. The lady who cleaned my room and the common kitchen area was very nice and used her "magic" to help me light the stove ;-)
Cons: A little construction noise but that is temporary and can't be helped.
7.9 Good
Pros: A sloth came through the garden of the hotel and didn't mind us taking a photo.
Cons: The noise from the road was quite loud in our first room but the owner was happy to move us to another room as soon as one became available.

Pros: The location is awesome and the garden in the area is amazing. Loved all the green plants and trees around. Loved the hammock in the balcony and the balcony itself. The breakfast was good, gallo pinto and fresh fruits - the amount was just fine. The place is not far from center in walking distance, which is great.
Cons: We traveled 6.5 hours to this place on a day of my birthday (me, my husband and our small dog) and were very tired that day, but the very first thing we've heard from a reception worker was that they normally don't accept pets (however, in the reservation site they claim to be pet friendly!). That's not exactly the best welcoming message you can get upon arrival! Also, it's not my job to start figuring out why they claim themselves to be pet friendly in the website if they are not! It's not client's job to even think about what happened and reception workers should not put that responsiblity on me. I'm not there to discuss their computer/website skills or website errors, but to enjoy my vacation. Then reception lady told that this is fine and she will make us an exception, making us feel like she is doing us a favor. But come on! There are properties that accept pets in the area, and we were choosing from 5 other hotels and chose this hotel, so why should we feel like someone is doing us a favor when it's the opposite? Clients should not be treated like that and I suggest to a hotel owner to train their receptionist better to be more professional with clients. So, I highly do not recommend this hotel to the travelers with pets. WiFi was super slow. Hot water was only on the first day and then totally disappeared the other days. Receptionist lady claimed the room is superior, but in reality it was very simple. It was fine, we liked it, but this is not superior. Also, it is overpriced, but I understand that this can be due to high season, so this is fine.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful and kind staff. Enjoyed room upgrade! Pool, breakfast and free parking were nice. Bike rentals easy and well maintained. Would definitely go back.
7.9 Good
Pros: Nice quiet place to stay, pool was a nice to cool off in after a hot day. Very helpful staff & owner
Cons: Didn’t like the foam mattress they are very hot and sweaty.
7.9 Good
Pros: Nice little pool for after a long beach day. Cute place for breakfast. Had beer and soda available. Great location from Puerto Viejo and other beaches.
Cons: The rooms were ok.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The accomodation is very beautiful and near the City of Puerto Viejo. The owner is a very good host. She helps us getting a dolphintour for the next day and makes everything that we felt comfortable. The bedsize of the extra large bed was incredible.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: It was all perfect
Cons: - the bed was not very confortable -
7.9 Good
Pros: The fruit was always delicious, especially pineapple and papaya. They served additionally scrambled eggs and toast. The place is rundown; a surprise since it got good reviews on trip advisor. The last Saturday nite the whole place was booked with local people and their party lasted past 2:30 am - very very noisy. We got no sleep and the walls are paper thin. No staff past 8 pm at night. It was dreadful
Cons: The staff seemed indifferent to our concerns except for one lady, Pao (spelling?) she was very helpful.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast is fine, swiming pool for children.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast, lovely little dining area. Really nice and friendly staff. The maids did a fantastic job cleaning up. It's a little beach hut so it quickly gets sand everywhere when you come back from the beach. Every morning they changed the bed sheets for fresh ones and cleaned the room really well. I was impressed. We were initially only going to stay 1 night and then we decided to extend for 2 more. The staff was really helpful and accomodating our request, and also arranged a shuttle back to San Jose for us. Great A/C and nice high ceilings.
Cons: The plumbing is old and the water pressure in our room was often nil. It's a little beach hut, so don't expect a 4 star, but I thought it was solid value for money. We were mostly at the beach anyway, so we didn't even mind the fact the showers sometimes wouldn't work.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Love the pool, the pool bar and the staff attention
Cons: The humidity of the room, the low force of the water in the shower, that the warm jacuzzi was not working, that there isn't bikes for kids. Not having enough time to get a spa.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great service from the staff, surrounded by nature, good security, near to the beach, nice rooms with instant hot water, good breakfast with egg station.
Cons: The bathroom didnt smell good but they fixed
5.0 Okay
Cons: we have two days problems with the water, was none. Also the internet didnt work was not really front wiew of the beach and the phone didnt work
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Mistico natural
Cons: Checkout mas tardio Pet friendly
7.0 Good
Pros: Nice hotel set in private grounds. Good rooms and very large comfy beds but did not match description on booking.com. When booked it stated it was a room with double bed + single bed. In fact it was only one bed (massive king size). This was the case for my friends who had all made separate bookings. None of us were couples but we ended up having to share bed. Nice pool and lovely staff.
Cons: Jacuzzi out of order and lack of atmosphere. Restaurant very expensive for what it was. Limited lunch menu and had ran out of hamburgers despite there only being 2 tables for lunch
5.0 Okay
Pros: The setting is in a beautiful garden The manager did his best to support my discomfort
Cons: There was no working electrical sockets in the room. Way to overpriced for its standard Terrible lighting in the rooms No mosquito nets and I got bit Lacking comfort and coziness No Water or tea included
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The service specially Nilda the lady at the reception she safe my life I recommend this amazing place specially family
Cons: I like everything

Pros: I love the way it looks...im an artist and so I enjoyed so much...for mw is like a space ship to the art mosaic planet...incredible...
6.7 Good
Pros: Access to the beach, beautiful wild garden, cheap beer prices
Cons: The kitchen was always full and to small for that amount of people, i didnt enjoy cooking there as well because of the poor level of cleanliness
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Cozy place
Cons: Noisy room the one in the common kitchen
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Expensive, no services, room feels like a jail. It's dirty, dangerous and uncomfortable.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hammocks are really comfortable and the cheapest in Puerto Viejo. The people there are really nice and the staff gives good directions. The lockers are secure and massive - they can fit your entire bag. The beach on the property is really small but its a short 3 min walk to a nice beach with a few sloths in the trees (:
Cons: The bugs are really bad at night and they dont provide mosquito nets. Would recommend lots of bug spray if you're staying in a hammock, otherwise you'll be eaten alive! Also, the music was blasting until 5am during the weekend, so unless you're at the party, you will definitely be hearing it all night.

7.9 Good
Pros: Breakfast system was good. You can just pay for the extras which is awesome.
Cons: There was a freezer but the cable would not fit the outlet. So we had to ask for an extension. Also the AC controller was under the bed. Also the bathtub was not working. My point is, when you arrive, they should tell you all that rather than waiting for the people to ask.
6.3 Good
Pros: The location is close to town and the good bakery. Most of the staff was very friendly.
Cons: The room I had (Mikado Room) was very noisy because it was next to the street. There was a balcony, but it was enclosed with netting which didn't allow much air through, so it was hot. I think the netting was there to keep out the bats which roost in the roof. If you are there for any length of time there is no place to hang clothes. There is a chest of drawers, but that is not useful if you want to dry things. If you are looking at the photos online and think you can have a nice swim from one end of the pool to the other under the little bridge, think again. The pool is three little basins. However, the garden is nice.
7.0 Good
Pros: The bedroom in the loft. Air conditioner worked.
Cons: The toilet would not flush. The wi-fi did not work in the room - it did work in the restaurant.
6.0 Good
Pros: Had the Samurai Suite. Nice and spacious for my mom and I. Great ambiance.
Cons: Toilet wasn’t working. I know not to throw away toilet paper in the toilet, but the water pressure wasn’t strong enough to flush the contents down. Had to plunge the water down, but it was still hassle and just nasty. Was too late to contact the front desk bc it was after 8pm. There were also dead cockroaches. For the amount we paid for the suite, would’ve imagined the facilities were much more clean.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Good location, friendly staff, concept of the garden is lovely, 2 slots living on their trees. Big and comfortable bed.
Cons: First day took 40 minutes to serve the breakfast (second day it was quick,no issues). Rooms are very dark, poor lighting, walls are smelly and dirty. There is a club close to the accommodation and they have live music (a dj) until 2-2:30am in the morning and because the doors and windows are not sound proof at all I couldn't sleep. And the housekeeper threw my pijamas onto the lamp shade while she/he did the bedding and she/he left it there.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Location is ok.
Cons: The parking lot is across the street with no security or even lights. Our room didn't have a closet, TV, fridge. They said they would clean between 10 and 2 but never did in the two nights we stayed. Never changed the towels until we asked. House rules ask guests to be quiet after midnight, but the bar played loud and ugly music until about 2 am both nights. Included breakfast was unpeeled fruit (pineapple with skin, mango with skin); when we asked for sugar for coffee the response was "it's on that table" instead of bringing it to our table.
