Lovely location and room was beautiful. Staff were very accommodating.
I loved it. Quiet surroundings, a nice woodland walk. A very nice dinner and eggs benedict for breakfast. What more is there to like?
Not quite so good for my wife. She's a larger lady than average and struggles a bit with stairs. The very soft mattress seemed to engulf her and made it difficult for her to turn over during the night.
Staff was great rooms was brilliant breakfast was fantastic and the dinner and tea we had there was good size and very taste will be stopping there again
The grounds and the building are beautiful. All the staff where polite, friendly and happy to help. Nice food and bar. Overall very accommodating.
Unfortunately the rooms I booked online that showed me specific pictures and led me to believe they would be the rooms I had payed for their for staying in, where not the same. One room was what I had booked, matching the images shown when selecting what I wanted but the other was drastically different. This is something I'd say keep in mind for anyone booking online as we where a little disappointed to say the least. Unfortunately the room my parents stayed in was the one totaly different from what images where shown when selecting the room. The bed was rather low and smaller than needed as my father is disabled. This room was a little dusty and due to the outside vine growing through the window they where unable to open the window in their room. Also the heat in both rooms was uncomfortable and although staff provided each with fans, even when constantly on it hardly dropped the temperature. Only one room had a fridge in to put some cold drinks in and that was my parents room. I would stay here again but I'd call to make sure the rooms booked online where what I was geting.
Lovely old country property, helpful reception staff, great breakfast, comfortable bed.
