Unique accommodation..being on a boat! A lovely way to wake up to swans on the river and first snowfall overnight!
The reception staff couldn't been friendly in their manner, maybe even smile.
Botel Albatros is one of the more unique places that guests can stay while visiting the incredible city of Prague. This hotel is located on a massive boat, which is where the word “botel” comes from. Much like a cruise liner, guests stay in cabins on the Albatros as it goes up and down the river. Unlike a cruise liner though, the Botel Albatros never leaves the city so guests are always free to get out and explore the city.
In all, there are 83 cabins and three suite-like apartments that guests can ret. Each room has its own bathroom, telephone, satellite TV and cozy bed. As one might expect, the rooms are decorated with a fun nautical theme to keep with the aesthetic of being on a floating hotel. The view from the deck is beautiful and ever changing, something no other accommodation in Prague can say.
A few decks below the surface is Botel Albatros’ restaurant. This 84-seat restaurant speceliazes in local Czech food as well as a selection of other international dishes. Guests can reserve a special VIP area to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, business events, and more. Popular dishes here include beef goulash with Karloff Vary dumplings adnd pork schnitzel topped with a garlic dip. The cocktails on Botel Albatros are just as good as the food, and guests are welcome to grab a seat at the bar and try a few drinks if they just want to sit down with a relaxing beverage.
