Price; location; very walkable
Made a special request for check-in at 3:00pm. Denied. Then watched couple check-in at 3:00pm behind me. Do you possibly think they would only have all the rooms only cleaned, at one time? That housekeeping employs 10 people for 2 hours to make sure all rooms would need to be available at once; that no rooms would have been cleaned before 3:00pm? How many guests made such"special requests" on this day? Finally, do you think a person who makes such a request and is denied, would give their custom to such and establishment for a dinner reservation and a 9£ breakfast the next day? Or is it more likely they would spend 35£ elsewhere, i.e. at the other hotel in town, where they might be (were) treated with more personal service? Ask the manager here to re-think this scenario. It is late October, not mid August.
reception stuff very friendly and helpful.
The bar was shut early as they were not busy. when i asked why, because it was quiet and i can use the lounge bar if i wanted. which is not wat they advertise.
It was in a very convenient location; very easy to access the rest of Isle of Skye.
The hotel food was pricey for what it was. Basic fayre.
Lots of noise from corridor and room above.
