Wonderful location, clean and updated, friendly staff and valet, great on site restaurant!
Bed mattress was very firm to the point of uncomfortable. Was tough to get a good night sleep.
Convenient
Nice location rght where I wanted to be staying
Comfortable Stay
Beds were wonderful, with pretty bedding and comfortable mattress. Most hotel guest service reps were friendly and hospitable.
Breakfast area was much too small to accommodate large amount of guests. Had to eat near the computer in the business center. Food took a long time to be refreshed in the catering trays.
Close to town
Not best price I could have used my AAA and got better rate . No mini bar difficult using internet
Good Value for Downtown Portland
Value, clean room, friendly service, you can walk to downtown amenities, affordable parking, breakfast was good for hotel food.
Strong propane smell in 2nd floor hallway during our entire stay. The mattress was on the soft side.
Generally speaking, everything was great. The room was modern and comfortable. Staff was friendly.
When we were attempting to check in, the front desk was having an issue with a rather unpleasant and annoying group of young women who were giving them quite a hard time. I felt badly that they had to deal with this issue. However, at one point they had all three of the front desk people dealing with this issue and nobody assisting the queue of people who were waiting for assistance. It would have been nice if one of those people were prioritizing the guests who were waiting in line. We were tired from a long drive and did not appreciate having to wait 20 minutes just to get our room assignment and key. Also, the price was incredibly high, and it seemed crazy to me that the parking was not included in the room cost.
They over booked and was not able to give me the room even though I booked and had a confirmation number.... I am extremely flustered and disappointed with the services.
Weekend away-enjoyed the hotel
The hotel is perfectly located, right in the old port near everything you could want. It was great to be able to valet the car (for one of the cheaper valet rates in the city) and just walk everywhere. The complementary breakfast each morning was good, nothing exceptional but enough to get us going. The staff were great and helpful with recommendations and making us comfortable. The room was comfortable and the bed was great-however I would suggest bringing your own pillow if you like a firmer pillow the pillows here are very, very soft-not a complaint but not my preference.
Overall we enjoyed our stay. However, on our first night we left the room for dinner and when we arrived back at the room it smelt like pot. Not a faint smell but very strong and over powering and, frankly, incredibly off putting smell. I went to the front desk and the night desk man seemed aware of the issue and the solution was for someone to come up to my room with a bottle of febreeze. For a non-smoking floor/hotel I was underwhelmed by this fix. We only had this issue once but it was enough. Overall though i would stay here again simply due to the location and the ease of getting around.
Not on the water front
Quiet
Over use of fabrreze in room, price, view, not a $200+ non refundable value. Forced to valet park in their lot.
Clean, inviting place overall. Comfortable beds and pillows. Good size room and bathroom. Nice breakfast in the morning. Really nice and helpful staff. Felt very welcome. I liked the free apples too.
I liked everything.
Rooms were very pleasant and a good size. Breakfast was excellent. Location was excellent and the hotel was good value for money.
