Cons: The breakfast area was too small for the number of guests. There weren’t many lounge chairs by the sunny pool. The seating area by the shady pool constantly occupied by the same people so never an opportunity to enjoy. Too many mosquitoes so impossible to use terrace! The sunset cruise really underwhelming and waste of time. While the suite we stayed in was roomy the bathroom was dated and small. The staff could use more training, we had to constantly give our room number at breakfast and to get our room key. Surely an essential part of service is to recognise your guests.

Cons: You have to order your cooked breakfast. Whilst this is elegant and gives you a high-end feeling, it takes time and isn't the most efficient method if you are travelling and short of time. A buffet and an egg station would be more efficient better. There were mosquitoes in the room, which is the case in all of Phnom Penh, but staff immediately apologised and sent housekeeping to spray the room when we requested.

I have already made two additional bookings and look forward to returning in March as well as January 2, 2020. I only hope the restoration respects the hotel's heritage as it was one of the grand dames of Asia.

We also loved the beautiful garden with its old absolutely impressive trees. Nice to stay in an oasis on the ground (in the middle of chaotic, bustling PP!).

We choose to stay here because we didn't want to stay in a high-rise that is looking like every other Shanghai newly built skyscraper hotel. We wanted to be a part of Phnom Pehn history while there!

Pros: From the minute we walked through the entrance to the hotel, we were greated by amazing staff and porters. They took care of our every need, provide maps, directions, suggestions, advice. We arrived early, they got our room ready so we could get checked in. The room was spotless and grand. The facility was immaculate. The adjoining French bakery was superb. White Mansion was probably the best stay of our trip. It was by far the nicest hotel we stayed in. It's pricey by Phnom Penh standards, but still reasonable and well worth it, especailly for your first night in this crazy city. You will feel comfortable and relaxed.

Pros: Being a first time traveler to Phnom Penh, I was worried that the photos may be better than reality. Actually, it was much better than I expected. The room was well appointed and well finished with a great shower. The AC worked really well, and the bed was quite comfortable. However, the highlight was definitely the rooftop pool! It was beautifully and uniquely designed and really made me feel like I was on a posh vacation. The restaurant had incredibly affordable specials, including a 3 canapé plate + cocktail for $6.95 USD!1

Pros: Really nice looking hotel. Pool area is very nice but small. Breakfast was good but they ran out of things a lot and it sometime took a while to be replenished. Food was good and ok price. Staff at breakfast were nice. Air con and fan kept the room nice and cool.
Cons: The bathroom could have been a lot cleaner. Soap scum on the window ledge that must have been there for a while. Brown liquid splashes up the wall especially over the toilet. Bin not emptied in room. Balcony dirty and not somewhere you’d want to spend any time. In restaurant and pool area, the tables were not clean and tables were left for a long time with dirty plates etc.

Pros: Being a first time traveler to Phnom Penh, I was worried that the photos may be better than reality. Actually, it was much better than I expected. The room was well appointed and well finished with a great shower. The AC worked really well, and the bed was quite comfortable. However, the highlight was definitely the rooftop pool! It was beautifully and uniquely designed and really made me feel like I was on a posh vacation. The restaurant had incredibly affordable specials, including a 3 canapé plate + cocktail for $6.95 USD!1
Cons: If I HAVE to find a complaint, it would be that non-guests can buy day passes to the pool, making it a bit crowded on the weekend.

Pros: The hotel and staff are excellent, and the view from the restaurant and pool areas is wonderful. The breakfast buffet has a decent variety, and there are a few a la carte options (e.g., rice, noodles, eggs, waffles, etc.) every morning. The food and drinks in the restaurant were good and reasonably priced given the location. The food from the restaurant is also available to be ordered as room service. The location is convenient to a lot of good restaurants and an easy walk or quick tuk tuk ride away from other sites. We walked from the hotel the palace and national museum without any issues. The hotel helped us organize reliable transportation to/from the airport and to/from the Killing Fields and Genocide Museum. Our room was clean, the bathroom and shower were nice with good water pressure.

Cons: Booked a table on the rooftop bar for new year and they gave away our tables to someone else! we settled for another table which was below the rooftop. The service was awful. Drinks would take 30-40 minutes to come. Espressos wouldnt come out because the machine is broke. When I checked out the next morning, they would not accept my 100 dollar bill because its too old. But it was accepted somewhere else. It was a huge hassle for me. Nothing great about the room either. There was nothing to see other than a closely built building. Also the receptionist had nothing to worry about the bad reviews that I was going to make!

They went out of their way to roll in a small extra bed for our 7-year old child so we wouldn't be crammed in one bed. No charge. The infinity pool is nice and the view is better. Cons: They fancy themselves as a chic, up-class hotel and advertise that they are "smart-casual" around the restuarant, barss and front desk areas. We did not know this. Luckily we brought some "smart-casual" clothes for a restauarnt we were going to visit in Hong Kong, but just be prepared. I don't think they make a huge issue of it, but this was not advertised before our arrival. The pool is nice but it doesn't appear to be heated so plan your swim for the heat of the day!

Cons: The hotel charged us 18 US dollars to wash 5 cloths. If we buyed the cloths we would spended less. All the rooms without balconies have a palace in front no more than two metres of distance. The room we took was very noise in the day time because a new palace is growing very close to our room. The swimming pool are very small. Very bad english is spoken in this hotel!!

Cons: Room overlooking the wall which was approx. 1 meter away. Thin walls, you could hear everything from the neighbouring rooms. The doors leading to the bathroom could only be closed with difficulty. One lift is not enough for a 12 floor building, it was better to walk than waiting for the lift to come.

Cons: Front office staff, in particular the tall male guy, needs training in customer service. Poor approach, poor attitude. It appears that the basics of customer service at the front desk is below the rest of the staff members attitude. Because of that first impression I may not decide to stay there again. Stayed for 4-days and no change at all in the front desks staff approach towards customers. Booked pick-up from airport which was confirmed by hotel but no one came. Was aware that this might happen through previous guest comment. All I can say is, it is pathetic and whoever is responsible for confirming the pick-up and not delivering on this service, needs ideally be removed from that position. Used tuk tuk for $10.

Cons: We were allocated the to the room on the 2nd floor and the key did not work. We were then moved to a room on the 3rd floor. This room has a widow view of the next building which is about 1.5 meters. The floor lamp wire was cut out and very dusty there. When we truned on the AC - the gust of dust came out. The remote for the AC lid was broken. We have complained to the front desk, but no one acknowledge my complain..nor do they apologie.

Cons: The rooms were not cleaned to a good standard it was very dusty the bathroom floor and bathtub was not cleaned once during our stay neither was the balcony it was full of dust and pigeon muck i reported to the cleaners that the back of the seating area was very thick with dust and they paid it very little attention of the 3 lights in the bathroom only one bulb worked and on many occasions they forgot to replenish our complementary tea coffee etc. But on checking out they charged me a ridiculous amount of money for a bottle of water which i didn't use i have stayed here on 3 occasions but i will not be returning again

The location was very convenient, near shops, Market and near the Mekong River Bank where you could stroll to and have access to many restaurants and cafes and fabulous views. The staff at the Palais were very attentive from the very gracious and hospitable Nikki the MGR. The courtyard were seating was available for breakfast, which was included, was very refreshing in the morning it’s a hot cup of coffee. I look for a future occasion to visit

Most staff are friendly and helpful, especially the tall young man at reception. They allowed us to store baggage for several days while we visited other provinces.

Pros: A great amount of space in the room and bathroom! The bed was pretty firm and personally I like a little give but for the great space and hospitality it was a great selection. I didn’t have any issues with pests by my friend a door over did have some complaints. We found a good deal and went with it so if you go that route this was a good find for me!

Pros: Good Location
Cons: Our room had a toilet that didn’t work. At first they switched us to a room that was less than the value we paid for and it was a hassle to get them to give us an equivalent or better rI’m. Eventually the receptionist did upgrade our room to the Family Room but the experience was bad as he was unhappy about it and had an unpleasant exchange with my wife.

Cons: The hotel and rooms are nothing like the photos. It is very basic and quite old, not modern and sparkling clean like the photos... the sheets and towels are all stained and old, beds have one light sheet on them (we had air con on for comfort of some family members but the rest of us were freezing!) The bathrooms were poorly maintained, fans in bathrooms didn’t work (we stayed in 2 different rooms on 2 separate stays) no circulation so quite mouldy and smelly. The most expensive hotel we stayed in during our stay in Cambodia but the most basic... and my expectations are very low!
