New York Hotel

Breakfast is decent with many choices.

One of the girls at the reception desk is grumpy. Did not even say bye when we left.our flight was 5.45 pm. Only give 1 HR extra to CHK out saying that the new guests comming at 2pm. This is a lie. Half of the hotel was empty in any case.we checked in very late anyway.

Location was good.

Breakfast was basic with limited selection. Allocated non smoking room but could smell smoke throughout the room.

I don't eat breakfast and it would be nice to have a reduction for that. The NY Hotel is located on one of the busiest arterial roads lined with all manner of small, medium and upscale retail businesses, restaurants, the main market and some interesting lane-ways where you can buy puppies and gold fish for example.

No hot water, especially for rooms with a bath tub. As in most Phnom Penh hotels, the water temperature never gets beyond lukewarm, so you can't really have a hot bath. Very disappointing for older people with painful joints that are helped with hot water. Outside the hotel, if you like to walk or ride in tuk-tuks, it is advisable to wear a mask that keeps out particulate matter. The pollution can get quite bad.
