The rooms are decorated in very modern, minimalist style--e.g., no wardrobe, only a sort of clothes rack. Good bathroom and decent amenities provided. Very good breakfast. Pleasant, helpful staff. The hotel has a garage (essential if you have a car, as casual public parking is almost impossible to find in Perugia and actively discouraged). You must telephone the hotel before arrival to arrange for a staff member to meet you at an agreed place for them to direct you to the garage--it is not part of the hotel. Use of this garage is quite expensive but there is no alternative if you have a car.

Pros: We loved this very friendly hotel. We were fortunate to have a room with a balcony and an amazing view. Everything was spotlessly clean and functional. There are bars, restaurants and shops on the doorstep. All the staff are very welcoming and helpful. We arrived in Perugia by train and took the Mini Metro (walk to end of platform 1 and the Metro is directly opposite) to Pincetto. There is a ticket machine near the entrance barrier and costs 1.5 euro per person per ride which takes about 5 mins. Turn right out of Pincetto and the walk to hotel takes about 10 mins. Dalla Bianca restaurant was excellent for simple tasty home cooked food at a very reasonable price. The house wine was perfect with the food and just a few minutes walk from the hotel.

Cons: The no smoking rule is not observed by many guests and you can smell it coming into the room as the corridors are very narrow. We just left balcony doors open but it could be a problem for some people.

Cons: The shower door had three panels. One fixed, two slidding to close the shower stall and contain the water. The last panel was sticky and took some jockying around to close it, to seal the stall door. Needs a fix before someone pulls it off the sliding channel with the channel and the other slider. Easier and less costly to fix it now. It was annoying to have to deal with for every shower.

Cons: The room is dated and somewhat shabby. There was an unused tatty frigo-bar in the corner of the room which is an eyesore. The furniture in the room is antique and unappealing. The bedframe paint terribly chipped (no, not purposely distressed) There is a fruit and veg market in front of the hotel so you can get some noises in the early hours with the stall owners lugging their wares. We had to cancel the breakfast on the last day as it was not worth it.

Pros: It was really well situated for all the main site. The staff were generally very helpful. The breakfast was really good. The restaurant was good too. My son loved the pool!
Cons: My room was very warm and it was not possible to lower the temperature of an individual room as it was set by a central thermostat, I was told because I was English that perhaps I found Italy a bit too warm (I did advise that we had been living in Italy for nearly 2 years!). The beds were a little hard too.

Pros: I attended a conference here and arrived by car. It is an excellent hotel for such a trip. You can easily reach the hotel from the main highway (either from Rome or Florence). Easy parking onsite, also not really much of an option in a downtown hotel. I had a very nice and large room, breakfast was nice with local products and their speciality many variations of Croissants. Normally Italian hotels have very sparse breakfast buffets, if you consider this, this breakfast buffet was gorgeous. Especially great, they had a corner with Gluten Free products with quite a rich selection (Schaer products). The in house restaurant was really nice, a bit pricey but very high quality food, you will not be disappointed. I will definitely stay here again next year.

Cons: This is not on the Hotel, but it is not in downtown Perugia. You will have to walk up the hill for about 10-15 minutes. It is not far, but the map may deceive you, as it is a steep(ish) climb. It is probably better to climb down the hill after a long evening, so it is not such a huge disadvantage. The hotel as a building from the outside looks like a regular block of flats (it has two parts actually), but inside it has a bit of a quirky/cute character with the Wine and Jazz theme.

Cons: The check out. I left the room at 06:30 because I needed to take a taxi at 07h. The breakfast was not served before 7 am and I understand that. But I explained that I was going to take a train in a station without a bar (Ingegnaria) and if it would be possible to have a coffee or something little to take away. The guy at the desk simply answered: I am sorry but I cannot do anything, the kitchen opens at 7 am. I insisted, asking if he could at least bring something small and he repeated: Im sorry but I cannot. I left the hotel without a cup of coffee (and I thoght about the previous place I stay in Florence, much simpler but where the staff offered me, for example, a box to go when they knew I was leaving Florence before the time breakfast was served. If was not for the gentle taxi driver who drove me to the train station (and who even offer to stopped by a coffee place to help me) I would leave the fabulous Perugia not feeling welcome.

Pros: Hotel Priori is just two minutes walk from Pjazza IV Novembre which is at the heart of Perugia's city centre, so the location is fantastic. The staff are all very helpful and make you welcome to Hotel Priori. The view from our room on the 2nd floor, which overlooked the lovely breakfast terrace, was simply something to look forward to every morning, with rolling green hills and distant mountain views. And the stillness, the quietness in the locality of this hotel is something which I really appreciated. Breakfast is good in general except that the bread was not always that fresh. A good choice of items for a continental b'fast and bacon and eggs can be done on request, good coffee machine and various herbal teas available. The room was comfortable, clean and was serviced every day. All in all we loved our stay at Hotel Priori and would book it again for our next visit to Perugia.

Pros: Unfortunately the first night we were there was noisy from a recently opened bar next to Hotel. The staff were very good at moving us to another room at the back of hotel overlooking the courtyard (where you can eat breakfast) and a view. We did not hear any more noise from the bar when walking home all the time there, three nights. Breakfast was good and if uou asked you coukd have scrambled eggsand bacon, we chose not to but good to know it is available. The rooms comfortable and clean, staff very helpful.

Cons: There was no Air Conditioning, the room was very small and could have been cleaner with bath sheets not towels. The hotel was a very dated place with threads bare carpets and we had a poor bathroom all in desperate need of restoration. Our stay was with 26 students so the staff flexibility was limited and we were warned we may need to take our breakfast about 7:30. Would we stay there again or recommend any friends, sadly the answer has to be NO.

Cons: The place is considerably run down and needs a whole makeover. The room I rented is €40 a night and actually feels like a Harry Potter room (the one he had underneath the stairs). The shower in the bathroom is SMALL. I don't know how anyone with a slightly bigger statue than mine would be even able to access it. The furniture in the room needs replacement. Although the room has double windows, you can hear the bar from downstairs until 3am, which makes it hard to find rest.
