The room was big and comfortable. The staff was as helpful as they can be although they all share the strange vibe of the city which is a mix of stress and difficulty to be clear. Help is there but not at the same levels you might expect to get in more touristy cities.

The location, if you are a white guy you will stand out in the crowded city center as soon as you step out of the hotel. The constant necessary presence of the police indicates safety is not a given.

    The bar attends so good

The main door was opened while we were in the room by another person. So I don't like it. The remote control system was enabled by the batteries. At the breakfast buffet the fruits aren't good.

As a dual citizen I don't have to pay the 19% they receptionist said is a hotel policy this is not right at all, totally dissatisfied . # Many travelers are often confused about whether or not they should pay a hotel tax in Colombia, but it's very clear: if you're a foreigner  or dual citizen in Colombia traveling you DO NOT need to pay IVA (19% value added tax) at ANY hotel in the country. Whoever It’s not always that easy, unfortunately, hotel Soratama , insist you pay the tax and come up with all kinds of excuses. As long as you are a tourist , you show them your entry stamp, the hotel should be registered with the National Tourism Registry I supposed ? ⛔⛔⛔ The staff is unethical. Only some of them work and do the job as describe. Other like to pick on certain guess and harrast them"liliana- Valentina" I had a very negative experience while I stayed in this hotel. I believe when you travel and stay in a hotel you want to feel like you are home, hence, you pay what you consider will provide you that standard. This hotel costumer service is not even a one start hotel. When I complain to the assistant manager, because the manager was out on vacation, all I got from Liliana- the assistant manager, ⛔⛔⛔oh, yeah some people are like that, I don't care ,can't help " no te puedo ayudar" Which is super unprofessional coming from a representative of such prestigious place. I will recommend looking into different places for your stay to avoid the headache. The circumvalar, and pinares have some beautiful places. And pereira has reliable transportation. So do not let the great location of this place fool you in exchange for an unhappy and comfortable stay.⛔⛔⛔⛔⛔⛔⛔⛔⛔⛔⛔⛔⛔

    Nothing. Not one single thing.

When I arrived at the hotel the front desk told me they didn't have the suites I reserved. I asked if they had one or none, she said none. She said the had a sister property on the other side of the park and the only difference was those rooms had two beds instead of one. I went to the property and was met by an insufferably rude person at the desk. Red flags started waving in my head so I asked to see the room. I was lead down a dingy hallway to an unclean elevator and shown a room on the third floor (the other hotel had suites on the top floor) while in the room I could clearly hear the street preacher in the park preaching through an amplifier, the Gospel of Mark if I'm not mistaken, the room had two full sized beds, not queen size, full size. I went downstairs I was informed these rooms cost more than my original so I took no small pleasure telling the very rude man I wouldn't be taking the rooms. I looked on booking to see if I could cancel the rooms in this hotel Nd it said I would have to pay for them. I walked back across the park, dropping a few pesos in the preachers box, to ask them to cancel the booking. The lady at the desk flatly refused to do so, saying that the hotel had offered me an alternative. I explained the issues while making the point that they literally did not have the item I agreed to purchase and they were trying to force me to accept an inferior for a higher price. She simply did not care. While I was talking to her I was also trying to make another reservation and saw that they were STILL taking reservations on the suites she told me were unavailable. At that very moment somebody could have been putting themselves into the very same situation I was in. That sounds more like fraud than a mistake to me.
