Cons: None
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The amazingly warm welcome, company and gorgeous food. The lovely house and super comfortable bed. There is nothing that can be faulted. A very unique place!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Our stay at Laurel House was without doubt the best weekend break we have ever had in many years. Jeff and Alex were the most attentive, caring proprietors one could wish for. We felt so much a part of the home, particularly so, on our Sunday morning breakfast, which we shared, and enjoyed, with a Scottish couple, and two Japanese archaeology students. A really "international breakfast". Jeff and Alex's attention to their guests, ensuring they had wonderfully comfortable beds, and quite incredible breakfasts, is what they are all about. They have based their provision on what they would want - they have excelled! We will be back within the next month or so, and have already recommended "Laurel House" to our friends.
Cons: Going home!
7.7 Good
Pros: Alex & Jeff were very friendly and accommodating. My fiance and I had to get up very early the following day and Alex & Jeff had no problem serving us breakfast at a much earlier time. We were also able to return to the hotel after our excursion to shower and dress before heading leaving. Jeff's home made bread at breakfast and the home made preserves were a lovely addition to an absolutley lovely, peaceful and relaxing stay.
Cons: There was nothing we did not like or enjoy about the hotel.

Pros: fantastic position, loved the balcony overlooking the fells and the reservoir, bed was cosy and the public rooms and terrace all really good features: good breakfast
Cons: Disliked all the signs eg re bathwater economy ( bit like a boarding house!): we were sorry there was no shower for those not in ensuite rooms, also no washbasins in the public lavatory rooms: had trouble washing or drying my hair in provided facilities ( tried in bath then washbasin, then trying to dry it with the hand dryer was awkward): there was no soap in the public bathroom sinks and they were rather draughty bathrooms: it was a great pity bar meals stopped at 6.30pm esp as good choice and menu: we didn`t want the evening meal and in the end went out to local village Bampton for a meal

4.8 Okay
Pros: worked
Cons: difficulty in finding car park
6.4 Good
Pros: Attractive decor downstairs, room clean albeit very small, good clean bathroom with good shower, good quality products used in the breakfast, even the tea was good, unlike a lot of hotels in England. Having a free car park is a bonus.
Cons: Some of the upstairs decor was a bit unusual, and the door to my room was shabby, which undermined the superb appearance of the ground floor decor.
7.3 Good
Pros: Despite the weather, which turned whilst we were there the staff and facilities were excellent.
Cons: Nothing :-)
7.3 Good
Pros: My husband and I like to stay at the north lakes hotel because it is a wonderful halfway point when we are travelling down south and we know we will be given first class service. We also enjoy the homely log fires etc. This Hotel gives us everything we expect from a Hotel.
Cons: On arrival we sometimes feel that some areas are fully occupied with business people on mobiles and computers treating these areas as they would an office.
5.0 Okay
Pros: the spa facilities were excellent and the staff were very helpfull and good parking facilities.
Cons: I thought £145 for room only was expensive and that the bedroom and bathroom should be updated for that sort of money. Also the breakfast service could be more efficient
7.3 Good
Pros: Nice, clean, good quality hotel with good facilities including, of course, the Pool and Spa. Kids room with Wii, PS2, Pool table, Air Hockey and boarad games was a nice addition. The room was very well appointed with a very high quality bathroom and nice furnishings. TV had a number of Sky channels. Overall a very nice place to stay.
Cons: Room was a little noisy, not so much in the night but certainly in the morning when people were in the corridor outside. I wouldn't let this put me off returning though.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice welcome and all the staff tried very hard to make the stop enjoyable. Chap who sorted our bikes into the store was excellent and smiled away even in the rain. Loved the place and will be back again. Perfect start to our long weekend away. Spar very good and kids loved the games room.
Cons: Think some of the meals were too expensive - ended up eating out as young family of four - too much for a short break.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It was all lovely
Cons:
6.0 Good
Pros: Immediate email response to request for dinner reservations
Cons: somewhat impersonal
6.0 Good
Pros: Being upgraded to a suite
Cons: I thought the food in the restaurant was a bit disappointing, it wasn't as good as I'd have expected. My duck was pretty tasteless and the scallops were drowning in cheese and fat.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything!
Cons:
7.2 Good
Pros: swimming
Cons:
