friendly staff. great location
small room but it’s paris
The room is so high and that gives it elegance! And it has a very good sound-proof! The bed is huge, even if you come single you get a huge bad!
The smell in the hotel...l
Fantastic location, very small room on the ground floor next to reception was a bit off putting, great bathroom and air conditioner worked a treat in the Paris heatwave. A good room for travelling without big cases.
At first we thought a cupboard was being opened, but it was our room! Walls are a bit thin as we could hear the receptionist and the bed sagged to the middle.
The location is splendid, on a narrow street between Odeon metro and the Luxembourg Gardens. It's right in the heart of the vibrant 6th arr. -- which is bursting with cafes, restaurants, shops, galleries and just quintessential Parisian life -- but reasonably quiet at night. Reception is staffed until midnight, with easy keycard access at other times. And the little lift was a lifesaver, as the stairs are quite steep.
The room -- tiny, though that's the Paris norm -- was functional but had quite a few design fails. The bathroom sink was too small, and the overhanging faucet too large, to wash one's face without getting water all over the floor / oneself. There were only two power outlets, and one was below and behind an immovable wall unit; even lying flat on the floor, I couldn't quite reach it. There was no ceiling light, and opening the closet door blocked the bed lamp, leaving the closet itself in darkness. In general, I'd say Villa des Princes is a decent option because of the reasonable (for the heart of Paris) rates and the wonderful neighbourhood ... but there are better choices nearby.
It’s prime location within walking distance from a lot of sites. Also a underground parking garage nearby.
Showers are moldy. Elevator is tiny and can only hold 1 person with luggage or two without.
With a stay at Villa Des Princes in Paris (Paris City Centre), you'll be a 3-minute walk from Odeon Theatre and 5 minutes by foot from Sorbonne University. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. A shuttle from the hotel to the airport is provided for a surcharge (available on request).
