Perfect location . The staff were very friendly and we felt safe. We only really slept there as we were out exploring Paris so it was ok. The hotel is small and slightly dated but it was just perfect for the Grand Rex which is why I chose it
Size of bathroom/shower and room in general If your petite then you’d be fine but at 6ft2 I struggled to get in the shower also no Tea/Coffee facilities
Pretty nice rooms
When checking in late at night after working all day they would not let us into the rooms as the booking information did not go through properly, so despite having the correct first names and booking confirmation they would not allow check in until we logged into the booking and updated the names. The chances of there being 2 people with the same names on the same nights with the same booking confirmation number and email seems very slim.
The staff was good and helpful
The beds/pillows and sheets were extremely uncomfortable, very hard and thin which was cold for the winter time. Also lots of noise which didnt bother me but any guests that are sensitive to noise from the street or other rooms should be aware of this. The room itself is outdated
There are disgusting stains on the curtains and on the bed covers and sheets. The room is very uncomfortable compared to the other hotels in the same area. The sound insulation is poor, so one can hear everything from the street. The reception people of daytime is very mean and unfriendly, but the gentleman on the night shift is nice. I am so sorry for myself for picking such an awful place for the new year. Every mood was ruined. I will definitely not recommend it for anyone.
Location was good.
