This two star hotel is better than many three star hotels in Paris
Friendly staff, clean rooms.
The location was good and parking was reasonably easy in the street outside due to being free parking during August. The rooms on the ground floor were of a good size.
We booked 3 rooms, one of which was a single room and this was on the second floor. The lack of sound proofing would suggest that this was a larger room just cut in two by hardboard and not a proper wall between rooms.
Normal small hotel, typical to Paris -- but very clean. Athmospheric backyard where you can have breakfast. Friendly stuff. Good little shop nearby, also some good restaurants. Out of touristy croud. Number of public transport lines in 5 min. walk. Wifi works.
No airconditioning, during the summer it is rather hot inside. No lift, if you have bad legs, find another place or rent a groundfloor room. Not everyone speaks English. My VISA card has been "pre-authorised" after the reservation.
The guy in the reception was always helpful. It has a comparably good price for Paris. There are some nice restaurants in the region. And from the stop cite universitar you can go to center in a few minutes. (Or in 20 minutes by Velib bikes, which has 2 stations really close to hotel)
Room and bathroom was a bit small, but I think its almost impossible to find big room hotels in paris :)
The staff are this hotel's greatest asset.
It was obvious that the carpets in the hotel are only given a cursory cleaning. The edges of the carpets in the bedroom - Room Number 2 - were thick with dust. This hotel is not centrally situated.
free wifi access, location (in a quiet street near the metro and supermarket), staff (patient in trying to speak in English and making the reservation for the night boat cruise)
It is closed at midnight but they offer a key. However, I agree that if I was a first time Paris visitor and money was not a huge concern I would stay closer to the Notre-dame church.
None
Limited room and time for breakfast Breakfast portion is fixed
the staff were very accomodating and patient with my rusty french!
if I was a first time Paris visitor and money was not a huge concern I would stay closer to the centre of the city.
Internet connection, hair dryer included. Great neighborhood.
Room felt a bit dark.
