Car rental at Paleochori Milos Airport

You'll have a couple of requirements to keep in mind to rent a car in Milos. Firstly, to rent a car anywhere in Greece, you must be at least 21 years old. Anyone under 25 will be charged an additional premium to drive the vehicle. You must have insurance for the car, and you must book your rental with a credit card with your name on it; you cannot rent on someone else's card. If you're an EU resident, you'll need to produce an EU driving licence and if you're not, you'll need to produce a driving licence and an international driving licence. Lastly, to be able to rent a car at the airport, you must have had your licence for 12 months or more.

Many of the rental companies offer several special equipment extras that include GPS satnav, baby seats, child seats, and disabled hand controls. You can usually arrange outside-office-hours help at an additional cost. If you want more than one driver to be allowed to drive the car, this can usually be added for a nominal fee as well. There is usually an option to return your rental to a different location than the pickup place for an additional cost depending on the distance.

The type of rental car you choose is dependent on how much travelling you plan on doing. If you're going to spend time in the cities, driving along narrow roads, a smaller compact or mini model will be better suited. The roads throughout Greece are narrow, so even when travelling long distances, compact SUVs are a comfortable choice for long-distance travel and getting around town.

Car rental companies that offer shuttle or pick-up services from Paleochori Milos airport to off-airport locations include Autounion Car Rental, Budget, Europcar, Global Rent A Car, GLOBALDRIVE , keddy by Europcar, and Sixt.
