Summary of reviews

Guests say
Guests consistently praised the hotel for its excellent location, which is convenient for conventions, public transit, and exploring Oakland. Cleanliness was another highlight, with many reviews mentioning spotless rooms and well-maintained grounds. Comfortable beds contributed to a restful stay for several guests. The on-site restaurant and food quality were positively noted, exceeding expectations for a hotel. While service experiences varied, with some guests finding staff friendly and professional and others noting issues at check-in or with specific staff members, the overall impression was positive. Some minor issues were mentioned, such as long waits at check-in, occasional overbooking, and isolated complaints about room size or amenities, but these did not overshadow the hotel's strengths.

Pros (+) The staff was excellent and almost everyone was very friendly. Our room was very comfortable and we had a fantastic view of San Francisco/Oakland from our room.
Cons (-) I think all hotels should include parking and internet in the fees. I think it's misleading to say the price of the hotel, but then add charges for parking and internet - these things should be included for all hotels and part of the standard rate. This is a pet peeve I have and I don't like when hotels don't include this in the regular rate.
