No lift to the rooms, we used the stairs to the second floor, bath towels were old, not white and the shower spread water all over. Maintenance would be necessary.
Set on a large site facing a pedestrianised area with a buzzing bar and restaurant on the ground floor the hotel has been refurbished since our last stay and not for the better. Reception and hallways are painted dark purple and burgundy displaying large interesting art work. The rooms have been “blinged’ up but attention to the smaller detail has been missed. There was a state of the art coffee maker, but it only made espresso, - nothing on offer for those who enjoy milk in their coffee or even a tea ! – which wouldn’t have fitted in the thimble sized cups anyway. No complimentary water and no ‘fridge in. the room.. The bathroom had been by-passed by any sort of upgrading. It was tired and not clean looking. Old fashioned pipe work was dusty and the floor and taps were dirty. Now coming under the category of Boutique Hotel it’s a shame the ‘modernising’ of this hotel didn’t quite hit the mark for us. Bed was comfortable and huge and TV was large.
The coffee making facilities The cleanliness of the bathroom Wifi accessibility was tricky to non-existent
Clean room. Right next to the Roman temple.
Nothing was wrong at all
Good Hotel in good location - stayed on night and it was very handy for centre of town - safe car park with entrance just outside the hotel. The local indoor food market is worth finding - better than Harrods food halls !
Shower was a bit out of date and the TV was mounted at an angle fro the bed that only a giraffe could see !
Perfect hotel for my trip to Nîmes. Myself and friend had a family room in this cool and quirky hotel which was perfect. We basically had our own bedroom and a bathroom each in this spacious room so was perfect for getting ready to go out. There is also a really nice bar attached to the hotel so perfect for evening drinks and nibbles.
