The breakfast was well cooked and the staff were friendly and attentive in the restaurant. The rooms were cleaned well.
The bathroom facilities weren’t that great, shower and bath plug didn’t work properly. The walls were paper thin so it was noisy when people used their bathrooms. The reception staff were a bit aloof and not particularly welcoming. The coffee in the rooms was pretty lacklustre and there wasn’t enough of it. The bath and shower gel wasn’t replaced. Our room was right up in the eaves so it was hot and you could hear the hum of some kind of generator? However, our families who were downstairs found it very noisy with people above them. The decoration needs updating.
Breakfast was good, size of room excellent, help friendly
Bed very uncomfortable, no information in room, fireplace didn’t work, carpet filthy, coffee pot not clean, room not cleaned very well, found hair in sink and tub
WIFI and TV didn’t work properly. Couldn’t go to bar/dining room for a snack because we didn’t have reservations when the place was half empty.
Amongst the vineyards of niagara on the Lake, it stands in a good position and looks pretty
We did not meet the owners, and we didn't see the same staff member twice. There was no personal service. It was worn and somewhat dirty. Wi-fi was non existent Had to request hairdryer, ironing board and robe- which never arrived Disappointing
Breakfast was amazing, especially the eggs benedict, the hash browns and the coffee. Loved the “period decor” everywhere - in our room, the halls and dining area.
The electronics in the room were challenging to operate: the TV wasn’t plugged initially, then the volume control wouldn’t work, then we couldn’t get the TV to turn off (which is probably why a prior guest pulled the plug from the wall).
